I recently attempted to switch to Spectrum Mobile, attracted by their offerings, but was left deeply disappointed by a series of failures and poor customer service. From the get-go, the process was fraught with issues. Initially, I received the wrong phone model, which already set a tone of inefficiency. However, the real troubles began when trying to activate the device. I visited their activation service not once but three times, each visit as unproductive as the last. Despite their numerous attempts, they were unable to activate my phone. This wasn't just a minor hiccup; it was a complete failure to provide the basic service expected of a mobile provider. The lack of competence displayed by the staff was baffling. For a company of Spectrum's stature, one would expect a streamlined and user-friendly process, but it was anything but. The saga didn't end with activation issues. When I decided that enough was enough and it was time to cancel the account, I was met with another round of inefficiencies. Their customer service could not figure out a straightforward request to cancel the service. What should have been a simple process turned into an ordeal. This experience has been not only frustrating but also incredibly disappointing. It's bewildering how a company can get so many basic things wrong. From ordering to activation, to customer service, every step was a misstep. I had hoped for a smooth transition to Spectrum Mobile, but instead, I was left regretting my decision from day one.I cannot recommend Spectrum Mobile based on my experience. The inability to perform fundamental tasks such as activating a phone or canceling an account is unacceptable for any mobile service provider. I meant to post my review immediately or at least much sooner than now. I just wanted to give BIG props and thanks to Bridgette there in the downtown Long Beach location. Long story short, it was in twice on Saturday November 5th and was assisted both times by her. I had to upgrade the then 4yr old phone that I had that was dying, would burn through battery charges very quickly, take hours and hours to charge and had become horrendously slow. Anyhow, I wanted to be sure that I transferred ALL of my: texts, contacts, voicemails and photos from my old phone to my new and I simply did not understand the directions in e-mails that Spectrum customer service had sent me prior, I'm not at all tech savvy. My old phone had a close to dead battery that actually died, while I was in the store during the time that Bridgette was helping me, she first plugged it into a charger at her counter, but, the connection to my old phone kept coming loose, she then connected my old phone to a charge from a display phone. During all of this, issues with my old phone ended up taking a very long time and even during this time, her lunch was delivered and it seems that I ended up delaying her lunch and probably her food getting cold. I ended up having to leave for an appt and coming back later that day and she was the "lucky" one that ended up helping me again and completed what we'd started hours earlier. I KNOW that my phone and my situation was a complete pain, but, she stayed nice and SO helpful, all the way through both my times in the store that day, which probably totaled 2-3 hrs. For our family 3-phone billing, we're saving $110 per month compared to what Verizon was charging us. We'd been Verizon customers for 20 yrs or so. They wouldn't budge. Phone service and specs for data capabilities seem unchanged so far. Porting of phones from Verizon to Spectrum was handled expertly by a Spectrum employee, Chadwick Hopkins, at their store at 2222 South Blvd, Charlotte, NC. To lower wait times, appointments via their website are helpful in navigating to less busy times. We got Chadwick through luck of the draw - he was very patient and answers all questions. No pressure sales tactics from Chadwick! He patiently got the 3 of us comfortable after 1 of us was a guinea pig for testing out their service compared to Verizon. My recommendation is to make an appointment and see how comfortable the in-person Spectrum Mobile employee can make you. My experience with Chadwick was light years better than any experience I've had with boatloads of consultations via phone with Spectrum Cable/Wifi employees over the last 10 years or so. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Spectrum Mobile. I switched a couple of months ago after having been a Verizon customer for almost 20 years. I had no complaints about Verizon, but I wanted an Unlimited plan and to also upgrade my phone. I got Spectrum's Unlimited plan and a new Pixel 7 for $40.10/mo. I have noticed NO difference in the service and the Spectrum app helps me stay on top of my home internet and mobile service at the same time. I did initially have a problem trying to sign up for Spectrum Mobile service in the Mentor, Ohio store. The employees were not aware that the $29.00 Unlimited plan WAS good for just one line(I believe you have to have four lines or more to get this price on Verizon) So I did end up wasting almost an hour in the store, but got everything resolved once I got home and talked to a Spectrum rep on the phone. Definitely happy with the switch and would recommend Spectrum Mobile to anyone looking for an Unlimited plan at a really good price. read more

I am writing to express my disappointment with the business practices of Spectrum. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. They allegedly misrepresented their promotional offer, claiming that they would reimburse me for paying off my phones, thereby allowing me to transition to their service. However, this reimbursement never materialized. Instead, they offered a gift card, which I have yet to receive. Furthermore, they are requesting additional proof of payment for my phones, despite having already set up my phone system and possessing records of my payments. This raises concerns about their commitment to honoring their agreements. I was going to switch from Xfinity mobile and internet. I was having issues getting a technician to me for the internet so I canceled. I had already paid $80 for the first month of mobile. I canceled & was given a ticket number & was told my refund would appear back on my card. Two weeks later I called back and was told the first ticket number was wrong & I had to reapply for refund. I was also told my money would be put on a prepaid card and mailed to me , that it would not go back on my card. Why I don't understand. Now it's three weeks later, no refund, no card! I'm on the phone with a represenative now and now she's saying it supposed to go back on the card I used! Like what is going on? Where is my money? Don't waste your time with Spectrum! I'm so mad! Terrible Terrible, looking into finding new services. I called to disconnect services due to cost of services $280.00 monthly. After speaking with person stating I was going to stream services I already have he stated can lower my bill if I stream spectrum and will be able record. After all was completed I found I didn't have ability to record. I called and was told not included in package. I could purchase 4.99 to record 50 shows or 9.99 to record 100 shows. Agreed to 4.99 to only be informed I can't have that package i can only have the 9.99. After several calls I was still told only 9.99 package is available to me. Our representative Bridgette was extremely helpful. She assisted my grandmother with getting internet and cell phone service through Spectrum. Through the entire process she was thorough, kind, and patient. The system even crashed while we were there and she did her due diligence to communicate with us our options. By far the best representative I've worked with. I have been a long standing customer with Spectrum/ Charter for many years and she absolutely is the best I have come in contact with. read more

switched from Verizon who has with for 12 years to spectrum mobile about 3 months ago. Never once had a problem sending pictures of gifs until now. Pictures constantly hang and do not send. No matter how many times I delete the send and resend it, 95% of the time they do not send. Extremely frustrating. Technical support has been able to do nothing about it. I have a Galaxy s24 ultra and should have no issues but it's nothing but constant issues to send pictures to my daughter or anyone else. read more

Spectrum took over 3 months to put our internet in. They kept scheduling dates and coming up with excuses of why it was not put in. No body called to let us know they were not showing up and no one would give us answers of why they kept canceling install dates. Very frustrating company to work with. When the tech finally came out they were extremely unprofessional and took over 3 hours to hook up our router. I would highly not recommend spectrum if you have other options. read more

Spectrum is racist. They hate Puerto Ricans... they wont let people with Puerto Rico area code phone numbers port their numbers to their system. Puerto Rico is a US territory that uses the +1 country code just as the USA does, with a 787 area code. There is no legitimate reason for Spectrum to deny this. Especially since Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile will allow the porting. read more

Even with there app, I have had the app tell a purchase would be free to add to my account.
