I don't recommend spectrum services ,after midnight the internet is very very slow,like a turtle walking ,and on top of that ,if you cancel before the end of the month,they wants to charge you the next month,I have been with spectrum for 7 years,never they offer me any promotions or better plan or updated the internet,I only used the internet for 2 weeks,cancel the service the 27 and they wants to charges me ,the next month payment,judge you in this is honest or fear ?,or if this company deserve to have faithful and honest costumers?????? read more

Waiting to return a piece of equipment, no less than 5 employees, 4 customers in the checked in queue, 3 employees standing around NOT helping people. This is for overall the whole company. You are hounded at Walmart and Kroger while trying too shop. We recently dropped their WAY over priced cable and saved $165 dollars, and when on the phone with a representative they constantly hound you about their cell phone service basically trying too ram it down your throat, then proceed to get angry with you after telling them NO for the tenth time. i have spectrum internet streaming and mobile, the internet and streaming services are down periodically, because my subdivision is the oldest they have. for my mobile i had the $30.00 a month plan but because they cannot buly me into taking another line they raised my bill to $40.00 and told me in order to get my $30.00 plan i had to take a extra line that i don't want or need. to methe $40.00 plan also has the same stipulations. not a good way to keep loyal customers. read more

I am ecstatic that I cut the cable this weekend! Absolutely ecstatic!!! I have been a cable TV customer in Lexington since 1990, 35 years. For most of those years the cable service has been really good. That all changed when Spectrum bought out the previous service. Since then, for the past ten years or so, my costs have gone up monthly while my channel selection has gone down. Picture and sound quality have gotten terrible with frequent times of pixillating and/or freezing picture and sound either going away or being erratic. I have had numerous service calls for these problems with Spectrum technicians traipsing through my home and never finding anything wrong. One thing they have never done is climb the pole behind my house to check squirrel damage to thge cables or their equipment. Also, the cable interface boxes have gotten so slow and clunky it makes watching TV a chore instead of a time of relaxation. As I mentioned, Spectrum has increased the cost of their cable service while reducing the number of channels I get. And they do this without warning. One day I am watching the Outdoor Channel and the next day it's gone and can't be accessed without upgrading my service for $15.99. Spectrum is the worst excuse for a company who relies on product and customer service for it's livelihood. And did I mention the Spectrum technician who lives in my neighborhood and parks his extra wide truck on the street instead of his empty driveway? While legal, it blocks 40% of the street making that part of the neighborhood a one lane street. Not a good look for a Spectrum and terrible for people on the way to work or school in the morning. read more

I do not have their service, but they are running cables out here. they ran cables to a pole in my yard and left them hanging in the way by using electrical tape to tape them to the pole. I called and filed a complaint about the black cable and the ground wire. they gave me a case number and claimed someone would be out here to fix it. here we are a day later and they never showed up. I want nothing to do with their service and the fact that they come out here tramping all over my yard without permission ticks me off. its rude! and the fact that they didn't do anything about the cable THEY ran that I DID NOT ask for is just disrespectful. no wonder the reviews are horrible on them. read more

We had our internet service installed at our newly purchased home. When we ordered the service, we were told it was a gig; however, after a month of a horrible connection, we were informed that a gig was not available in our area. No refund was offered, and no price reduction was made. All we received was bad customer service, being told that I was not being moral and was being rude, just too rude. I asked to speak to a supervisor on two different calls, only to be put on hold for 20 to 25 minutes, and then the call was disconnected from their end. For 13 days, the service was down more than it was up. Being told that we are paying for a gig when it isn't even available at our location is illegal and unacceptable. We would not recommend them for anything. I would rate them minus if I could. read more

The WORST company!! They play the "bait and switch" game to a T!!! Yup, they got me, but I finally got tired of them constantly slowly raising my rate. I would call and they would lower it back. Then the next month they would raise it again. I would call, they would maybe lower it again but not always.....after a year of this game, when it was almost $90 a month I canceled and went with Kinetic for 1/2 the price! i recently visited the hamburg pavilion spectrum store. i was assisted by an associate named jordyn. i cannot speak more highly of my experience at this store. the associate was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. jordyn took me through the purchase and setup of a new cell phone, transferred all my data from my old phone and ported over my telephone number from my old carrier with ease and clarity. thankyou jordyn and thank you, spectrum, for employing such great people read more

Overpriced for a very mediocre service. They advertised $50/month and then charged over $90/month for mediocre wifi that didn't work throughout the entire house. My roommates and I tried to buy one of the wifi extenders and they made wifi in the entire house worse. read more

Every single time I have visited this Spectrum store in recent years I have had horrendous customer service from one staff member in particular, Donna, who I believe might be a manager. This unbelievably rude woman told me to "F***" off and get the "F****!" out of HER store! This is because after she refused to help me with a simple account management issue (I was giving her a confirmation number that she needed). she told me I would have to come back three days later to generate a new code in the system, but I told her that was incorrect I can get one right away. The other staff member standing behind her was in agreement with me that I could get the confirmation number again right away. I proceeded to go to my car to generate a new confirmation code to give to her to put in her system and she told me that it wouldn't work I'll have to come back another day. This was not the case and to prove it, I went to my car sat down got a new confirmation code and went back inside to give it to her. That is when she flipped out on me. I was so calm cool and collected at first, but I cannot stand an intimidating bully in a position of power who treats a customer so disrespectfully just because they can. if someone is going to have a position of authority in customer service, they need to understand basic respect for the customer, which is earned. I did want to say that I gave one star at least because all of the other staff members (some brand new in training) were so appalled at her behavior and very apologetic to me and they were all very helpful and nice to me before my dealings with Donna. I don't know how she got a job and Customer Service, but I told her she's not going to intimidate me from her position of power! I don't understand how someone can refuse to serve a loyal paying 25 year customer at a public utility establishment? All of a sudden our internet went out. I called and they said our equipment was outdated so they shut us out. I said why in the world would they just shut us off without calling us first. They turned our boxes back on but I had to have a technician over. They told me the upgrade would be free but the technician said it would cost us 15 more per month for the new boxes. He also told us there was no need for new boxes, ours were fine. He tried to stop the shipment of the new boxes but they came anyway. Then I have to deal with sending them back which was actually easy. I called spectrum back and they said they were just trying to upgrade people. BS !!!! NEVER trust what they say at face value. Horrible. A tech came and swapped out our modem and router that wasn't working. A year later, we decide to move. The tech never documented the change, and now the equipment he swapped is being charged to us. I returned all of their equipment and their still saying I have a modem and router that was taken from me by their tech more that a year ago. On top of that, we returned our equipment TWO DAYS in to our billing cycle. They are charging us for the entire month!! This company is straight up stealing from us. I'll pay them the full month as it is in the terms I never read (warning) BUT I WILL NOT pay them for the equipment they neglected to document. I'll spend $500 in court fighting their $200 BS charge. I'd recommend getting a WIFI 6 box (or whatever it is) from your mobile provider, stream your TV along w over the air channels, and avoid Spectrum at all costs! read more

I wish I could give negative stars. I work from home and rely on consistent internet service and Spectrum has not been holding up their end of the deal. I have been a loyal customer for 17 years. I've been forced to cancel when yesterday my internet was out for 6 hours, of which I lost income, and they credited me 20 dollars. I spoke to a condescending manager who refused to reimburse me because they only credit for service, not for loss of income. Piss poor customer service. read more

They really need to have negative stars. I went to the store to return equipment. There were four salesmen. They spent more time talking to each other than to customers. I waited well over an hour for them to wrap up their conversation. Spectrum has the WORST customer service. Once you get through the phone tree you'll wait on hold 30 minutes to an hour. I had a billing problem after I closed my account. They kept turfing me around to different people. Each with a 30+ minute wait. It took me over 12 hours on the phone to finally get it straight. They messed it up several times. I got a bill from a collection agency. This was after everything was supposedly fixed. I spent several more hours on the phone trying to get that fixed. It's supposedly been taken care of. I received my refund. I'm just waiting to see if the collection letter ends up on my credit report. I will never use them again. read more

I hate spectrum. They don't offer plans that are affordable. They group things so that the only way you can get the channels you want is by getting a group with a lot more than you use. They offer nothing for people who have been with them for years. They suck. read more

I forgot to mention when another customer came in (white male) every single person got off their butts and greeted this man very willing to help him and not dismissive at all unlike our initial interaction. I definitely feel like it was discrimination. *update** When my brother and I walked in no one stood up to greet us. They asked us questions from a couch while playing on their phones at that point I am over you all. I stated my brother was there to get his equipment and the first thing out of Red mouth was "we don't have your equipment did you get ultra" I stated no then she decided to get off her lazy butt. She proceeds to say they have no routers and wanted us to go to another store for it but then tried to offer us a modem. What I will say is she continued to address me when it was my brothers account its clear they are racist. If she would have looked at the account she would have saw where he has his own modem. So for her to try give him one and then send him across town for what he actually needed. Like really?!! I was called rude and I told them to stop being sensitive hitlers nephew then proceeded to say something rude as I walked out the door I come back in asked what he said. He said "I said leave" which was a lie I was already out the door and he definitely said more than one word. And I proceed to curse him out if you have something to say to me say it don't bite your tongue now because I turned around. Oh and I also asked about their mobile network and if it was good she stated it was I said I doubt it. She proceeded to say they use Verizon's towers as like and I laughed and told her I have Verizon and my stuff sucks sometimes so I really know she is lying. I went in to the local Spectrum office to update my router/modem. The employees were friendly and extremely knowledgeable! Donna ~ the young lady that waited on me was professional, kind and very patient. She gave me some upgrades and new phone line and saved me a lot of money. I didn't even have to ask. I got way more than I expected! Everyone that came into the store while I was there was quickly waited on and treated with kindness and patience. It was a great experience. read more

Poor Customer Service at their store location at Sir Barton Way, Lexington, KY. I was mailed a router which I never ordered, I was told to bring it back to one of their stores. As soon as I entered the store, I was notified that there's a 20-25 minutes wait despite the fact the there's no one in front of me and 2 current customers were being assisted. Store staff told me I can carry the item to the UPS store instead (what made him think there was no line at UPS too besides that will be additional time for us to drive/park). As it turned out, one customer line was done in 5 minutes but the staff decided to close her service line even though I was still in queue (deliberately done?) Fortunately, the other line was also done. The return only took 2 minutes but 2 staff showed no genuine interest in assisting their customer. read more

My Daughter went to the spectrum store to do an early upgrade which she was eligible for when doing so she went into the store and was immediately approached by lady. That was extremely rude and disrespectful. When My Daughter asked to speak to someone else, she told her that nobody else in there wanted to help her either as she proceeded to call her a very racist name that starts with the letter N as you can imagine My Daughter left the store very upset as was I so I went in to speak to a manager when I get to the store I'm told there's no manager there because they're shortstaffed so I proceeded to go to the only other store that we have in this town to be greeted by a manager that was just as rude just as nasty and really didn't care about the complaint that I had from a customer that is paying almost $400 a month for services through this company not to mention My Son went in to do an early upgrade yesterday which he is eligible for and was denied service for no apparent reason. Phone was in perfect condition. The bill was paid up-to-date and there was no reason he couldn't get an early upgrade, but he walked out of that store without a phone last night, when I called customer service they treated me just the same wanted to argue with me tell lies and not connect me to a member of management.
