I came in and canceled my cable Nov 30th, keeping internet services on turned in my cable box at the same time. Customer service rep was very professional and nice, their policies, not so nice. Fee is reduced to $69.99 internet service only. Spectrum then charges me for cable service from 11/25 to 12/24 $165.98 even though I have no cable service and no way to watch what I paid for.(remember I turned the box in) They acknowledge and refuse to credit or pro rate scamming me out of $95 .... and they want to bundle my services....LOL Dishonorable company policies. read more

Been a customer for years because we have no choice. Our bill has now been raised another $5.00 a month bringing it to $85.00 for JUST INTERNET! their internet is slow and goes out often. New accounts are getting the same internet for $30.00 a month! Heck, I can get internet and TV for $44.00 a month from them, but I don't need the TV service. When I call to try and lower my bill they tell me I'd have to disconnect for a month to get the lower rate. What a joke this company is that has a monopoly on our internet service. read more

I am a new customer signed up for service rep Instructed me to go to this location for pickup. Apt was at 4:00pm I arrived at 4:20 as I walking up I saw a rep see me thru the register no one acknowledged me I figured due to social distancing, continued to wait after a couple minutes a rep KELLY pokes her head out and says we're closed no Hi due to etc just we're closed RUDELY! I ask to speak to a manager as I have arrangements to Install tomorrow she looks at me and says we have no manager we're closing early due to protest we're on a curfew and we don't have time to help you! Shuts the door, I call customer service and they tell me that is not allowed closing time is 5:00pm again I just need to pick up! Moments later ANA comes opens the door and again says we have no time to help you! And no manager she left early. RUDELY & clearly they closed against policies curfew states you can drive to and from work! Spoke to corporate placed a complaint will follow up! After a year I lost whatever the promotion I started with then they spike up their prices (2nd year I ended up paying $75 for internet only!). When covid-19 forced me to work from home the service became awful! Called to see if they can offer any type of discounts and was told discounts only applied to "NEW" customers, no loyalty for existing customer. At the time of cancellation that is when they try to negotiate with you. BEWARE THEY DO NOT PRORATE, if you cancel at the beginning of the month you stuck paying for the full month even if your service is disconnected. I was directed to this store after the Lynwood location indicated they did not have any equipment to exchange. Lynwood would not let me past the front door. I entered the store in Downey and the vibe could not have been better. The employees were friendlier not only to me, but to the others they were helping in the store. I initially ran into some issues as I was exchanging equipment on behalf of my mom. I had to be added to her account. Josh helped me out with the phone number to call. So I had called my mom at home to have her call in and add me to the account. Once on the account, Tam, completed the exchange in minutes and I was on my way. I can't stress how helpful and friendly the staff was here compared to the staff in Lynwood. If I ever need to visit the Spectrum store again, I will drive past the Lynwood store and go directly to the the Downey store. read more

So I was going to have service at my apartment in LA but they could not drill into the building without permission from the owner. So I canceled my service on the spot, I never received any services from these people. Come to find out six months later I have $149 fee on my credit report from these guys. I turned in my equipment I never received any service and yet they're charging me for the equipment that I turned in that they lost at their store in Downey. Now I have to go through all the trouble of trying to correct this because there are people fucked up!!!!... these cable companies are nothing but a rip off, and they don't hold their employees accountable for their corruption mistakes whatever you wanna call it. I am going to give 5 stars for Kelly who fixed her co-workers incompetence. I had a very unpleasant experience in this store last week. My step father passed away and I came in to settle his account. I spoke to Erica and explained the situation. To my surprise she was completely rude to me. Would barely talk to me. She asked for a death certificate and I had a soft copy that I told her I can email her. However she stated she needed a printout and would not even look at my paperwork. Clearly just out to be difficult despite me telling her I am dealing with a death in the family. I got back in line again to try another representative. Thankfully, this time I spoke to Kelly. She was compassionate and knowledgeable. She was able to settle my step dad's account in no time. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss Erica's rudeness and incompetence. The manager (I believe her name was Linda) told me Erica assumed I was out commit fraud. Lying that my step dad is deceased, so we do not have to pay his bill! Manager was initially trying to defend Erica but quickly backed down once Kelly pointed out all the proof I had that Erica refused to even look at. I thought Erica was a new employee, but the manager told me she has been an employee for 15 years. I think it is time for her to get another job to make room for employees like Kelly that is clearly more competent and actually interested in helping customers. read more

On Monday I called spectrum to notify them about a hacker breaking into my neighbors and my internet connection and who knows what else. I was told by spectrum that there is nothing they can do. I told them the sheriffs department instructed me to notify spectrum and there investigations department. Spectrum says there is nothing they can do and kept bouncing me from operator to operator until I finally ended with sales department trying to sell me business account for internet not at $49.99 as commercial says but at $199.99 just because I'm already an existing customer. Haaa!!! Not me ! Beware spectrum doesn't protect or care about existing customers or new customers it only protects hackers with spectrum they refuse to cut them off. Beware and would not recommend them for internet or cable and there customer service is lousy. read more

I am an existing Spectrum customer who went in with no appointment to see if I could get a cable box added to my account. I went in on a Sunday and was politely told they were all out. No problem like I said I did not make an appointment or call ahead to see if they had any available. The employee did inform me some boxes were scheduled to come in the next day. I went in the next evening and was in and out with my new box in less the 10 minutes. The employee who helped me was extremely courteous and friendly. read more

I used their internet and land phone services for 2 years. after that they kept raises the fees. for that reason I started new service with frontier and cancelled spectrum. after I stopped the service they kept getting monthly fees from my credit card. This place is ridiculously slow. I don't know how they stay in business with such as poor customer service. The line is sooooo long and they only have 2 service reps. it looked like they have more employees but not to help customers. The greeter said that the wait is longer than hour but decided to wait since i've already made the trip. Boy! She wasn't kidding. The wait is over an hour. I was number 3 on the screen and all of a sudden I was #4. Apparently there is a secret line to get a faster service. No tents outside while customers wait is ridiculous regardless if they don't have approval. Everyone else on this property has tents: get a clue! Also, the needs very for everyone: If it's as simple as returning equipment, have someone specifically for that! I am only giving this place 2 stars because of Chris. He is the best employee there and the only one I would want to associate with! Everyone else seemed to have okay manners but completely worthless. I went in to only return my old equipment and was told to sign in by a young man who had such an attitude, I wish I had his name so I could call him out by name. There was a total of 4 people on the floor and only 2 of them were actively helping customers, one of them being Chris of course as I mentioned is the only one who actually works. There was about 8 people ahead of me which I could see about 6 of them only had to return equipment which took over an hour until I could be seen. The other 2 people working seemed to just be watching the line get longer and longer and kept wasting time by not doing anything. The actually return of equipment took less than 3 minutes which is why I am very upset with just the lack of common sense these people have. This is just for all of the people to know what spectrum is all about. Spectrum is a company that promises to offer you the best service possible but yet the service is awful. The service is constantly interrupted you call they tell you they have resolved the issue but yet do nothing-as it continues to be the same. I called to cancel the service yet they will be charging the month as they say even if the service is in-active you are liable to pay for it. They are over charging people for service not being used yet they dont want to pro-rate or discount any of it as I requested to disconnect and all they said is that there is nothing that can be done. So just as a recommendation if you have other company options look into it, as I prefer to be without internet than to have them as my provider. Ill just get unlimited data on my phone its way cheaper than having them and way better!!! read more

I called spectrum to become a new customer. Throughout this Covid pandemic, I started having trouble with my current Internet provider. I decided to try to give spectrum a try. I spoke to customer service representative, where we created a bundle that was best suited for my needs. Once the equipment arrived it was incomplete. I called to verify on what had happened with my order, I was told that my order was complete and I needed to purchase a router that wasn't included on my bundle. This obviously would make my monthly bill higher then what we had agreed on, instead of honoring the price that was set and rectifying the situation. They decided that it was best for me to just walk away, they literally allowed me to cancel my services without them trying to retain me. This is the type of service I received as a new customer. I can honestly say I will NEVER give spectrum my services! Horrible customer service! read more

I live in Paramount, California, and since Covid19 My kids have to do online schooling in which we heavily depend on Stable Internet Services. My Internet Provider is Spectrum and since the pandemic they have had at least 3 Internet Outages so far and the year is not over yet. I see why its taking so long. They care more about signing people up for cell service. Than they do about cable service. 4 people were working but each one was doing phone set ups. Which takes forever. Manager came out and said sorry for the wait. I told her I've been her for over and hour. And why don't you have someone just to take care of people for equipment exchanges which takes less than 5 minutes. She said we have to take care of everyone equally. I told here does it look equal. There's 10 people waiting to exchange and not one employee is helping us. She just walked away. That's why I'm writing this post. So my advice to anyone thinking about going there don't.
