I have not had the service for over six years. They sent New equipment in my name to the house I lived in six years ago. I nolonger even live in the same town. I have called to try to return the equipment, but was unaniem to get through to customer service. I did get a technician who only wanted to update an account I don't even have. Hé did conform that he seeds an order for New equipment shipped to me but he could not tell me who had ordered it. Each time I got a person on the phone they would drop the call when they attemped to put me through to customer service. Ten years with this internet service. There is no incentive to stay with a company that continues to raise the price every 6 months to a year. My internet has gone from 44.00 to 80.00 just internet. My cell service was 14.99 a line ( no overage) Now they raised my monthly to 19.99 per line the over amount rate they charge use to be 14.99 per Gb they lowered it to 4.99. They think people are stupid. They act like they gave me a discount ( I don't do overage ) They just raised my bill 15.00 a month on cell service. Every one of these communication companies have over pricing and the FCC should put limits on what can be charged. I highly recommend reporting grievances to the FCC Federal Communications Commission. read more

Worst internet service I've ever had. They claim to be Dayton's leading Internet yet can't get through a windstorm which is common in Ohio in 2023. About to switch to wire, wifi is a thing of the past. The customer service is lackluster as well it's like they've never dealt with not having internet themselves. There is a tiny, balding man at this store who takes out his dislike of his job on unsuspecting Spectrum customers. Do not visit this store! I went in because I couldn't get my modem and router to connect to each other. So I visited the store first thing last Tuesday. I was given a new, updated modem but this person had misunderstood the issues I was having. So I clarified that I would also need a new router, because I felt that was most likely where the issue was occurring in the first place. This must have embarrassed little mister, so he excused himself for several minutes and came back out with what appeared to be a new router. My first clue should have been that he didn't bother scanning it in. Cut to having a week's worth of intermittent WiFi access only to be told by my service tech that I was given an old, broken router. The tech stated they sometimes wrap up old ones, knowing they are broken, and pass them off as new. DO NOT LET A BALDING, SHORT MAN HELP YOU AT THIS STORE. Maybe don't use Spectrum at all...? read more

Store closes at 8pm, we got there at 7. After waiting 1hr 10mins the guy asks why we're there. We told him we're upgrading a phone. He told us that we needed to leave and that he's not staying till 9pm to help us. It was kinda rude how he said it. I told he nicely he should've told us an hour ago. Then he say just buy it online. I've never had a business tell us to leave at closing given the amount of time we waited. I mean I get it, he's the only one working there but like turn us away an hour before closing not after waiting around and being rude about it. I had an issue with an old iPhone and the Apple Store quoted 1hr45min to talk with someone so I walked over to Spectrum. I first spoke with Eric who changed out my SIM card and shrugged me off. I didn't even get out of the store before i lost service again. Luckily Krystal came to help and I ended up with a new iphone 15 plus. She really knows what she is doing and was very helpful. Visited the Spectrum store today and was thoroughly disappointed. The store was severely understaffed which resulted in an agonizingly slow service. It's evident that there's a lack of effective management here. Would not recommend. read more

My mother has Spectrum. She became very Ill in mid-February. She was so Sick, hospice was involved. She has started to make a slight recovery and went to rehab. We realized she would no longer need her Spectrum service. I took all of her equipment back on March 5,2022. I asked about pro-rating the bill and I was told to wait until the bill arrives and then call customer service. I called customer service and was informed that they are a month to month service and they don't pro-rate. My mothers billing cycle started March 4th and I turned it off March 5th. Today I was told they will not pro-rate her $245 a month bill. I'm not disputing that she owes one day. I'm even paying for the half of February when she was in the hospital. Spectrum is too concerned about getting their $245 from an 80 year old woman. After explaining this to my family members they have all started looking for other carriers. The worst service ever during a very difficult time. I was told if she passed away then they would probably-rate. Really??? read more

We just signed up with T-Mobile and saved $30 a month for so much better internet service ! I cannot even tell you how much better the service is ! T-Mobile doesn't have the tiering prices either. Everyone gets the best service with T-Mobile. Spectrum has had monopoly the 14 years we lived in our home but NO more. See if you can get T-Mobile in your area. I give this company one star because of the quality of their service and the way that they handle their business. The spectrum store and the Apple Store in the Greene work hand in hand together to make their customers experience one that will last a lifetime. I had never had any issues with data breaches and account problems until I switched from straight talk to spectrum because my old boss would complain how I had an android. After I purchased the iPhone and started using their services, I had more problems than anyone could imagine. All of my accounts were compromised and my bank accounts were drained. The transactions were hidden from view. The customer service representatives would change and alter my account details giving them access to my personal network. Whenever I would have a problem, the invoice for the month services would increase and no matter what I did nothing was ever taken seriously. It used to be a great company before they paired up with the other companies. They do not value their commitments to their customers or employees. read more

If I could give it a lower rating I would. They have been holding over $900 of our money for 5 months. Keep sending us to an outside company (who WE DID NOT CONTRACT WITH) and of course the link the give NEVER WORKS!! Everyone plays stupid while the apologize all over their idiotic selves while never helping you or solving the problem. My husband is filing is small claims court in order to get our funds back and a lawyer says we should double the amount since their giving us the run around and keeping funds they aren't entitled to is deliberate. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Price kept going up while service and quality of product declined. We had people out multiple times and did our very best to stay with them as we had for 30 years. Horrible customer service, was third in line and still stood for 40 min while 2 people in front of me were being helped. Finally got to the counter and was turning in 1 box I was not using, he scans itit, tosses it in his bin, looks at me and says, I can't take that off your bill, you are a legacy customer so call customer service. So let me get this right, you can add stuff to my bill and raise the price anytime you want but not take it off? Seriously? No apology or anything. read more

I went in to store at the Greene to see if someone could help me access my email remotely and no one would even try to to help the store manager said they only do sales I told him I pay spectrum over $200 a month and you won't help me his excuse was they only do sales so they are glad to sale you something but if you need help with something that should be fairly easy for people that do this kind of stuff everyday forget it so unless you are buying something NO CUSTOMER service after the sale read more

Spectrum changed our account# in the fine print of our bill. We sent them proof of payment and yet they say sorry we can't find your payment. We are about to lose internet services which makes it hard to work remote. do not call worst customer service every. read more

Spectrum has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Do not use this company! They make it difficult to cancel. Can't cancel online. Was on the phone over 1 hour and first rep was not honest. Company will not prorate bills. Terrible company! read more

Kind of unhappy have had quite a few outing where my cable phone and internet was out for long period of time but spectrum don't take that in consideration and lower your bill for non service but they will sure rise it with no notice until it shown on your bill read more

Try to stay as far away from Spectrum as you can. They have the worse customer service in the world. They would not let me lower my bill, then when I cancelled and went to ATT, they sent me to collections for over double of what I originally owed them. And I have no way of knowing how this happened.
