It took over 1 year for them to finally finish, and during the whole process was fed nothing but excuses, and sub par work. Everything was half done, and that half was done incorrectly. Every week there was some new employee here they hired, and that person had no idea where the last guy left off from the week before, and good luck getting a hold of the man in charge. You will be ignored for weeks on end until he sees fit to get back to you. Basically this is the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with, and if I'm ever asked if I know of a company to refer, all I can say is. I definitely know of a company to never call! I don't know who Tom G is, but I already know he's a liar.

I have called at least 10 times, people have been completely unhelpful. The supervisors refuse to answer the phone when you escalate the call. You have to sit on the line for hours to get it. When you schedule service they send you at least 2 text messages which if you don't respond because you are working then they just unilaterally cancel the service request and you have to go through it again. Do not ever use them.

This really does not deserve one star. I have had Windstream for decades and it has just gotten…read moreworse and worse. A few years ago had trouble with internet connection. It was off more than it was on and videos would buffer and not play. It would constantly go off and on especially in the evening.Several people came out and one guy even gave me a modem more outdated than the one I had which future service people could not understand why he did that. They were hardly ever to fix anything with their phone support. So after having gotten the new modem it lasted a couple years but their high speed internet is slow as molasses. My new tech guy won't even work with me till I get Spectrum because it takes a long time to install and download some things. So a few nights ago the police show up at my door at 2:45 AM. Why you might ask? They said that they got a 911 call from my windstream landline. WHAAAAAT? How did that happen? So next morning SAME thing happened about 9AM police are at my door that they got another 911 call. I called Windstream and the Rep Britney was extremely rude in her tone and when I told her it needed immediate repair because it is a drain on police resources she got even nastier telling me they would not come out for 4 days. She gave me agita by continuing to talk when I asked her to just be silent unless she had info from the supervisor. She was like nails on the chalkboard and of course there is nobody to call and complaint to about her. Very impersonal and they hide from complaints. When asked to talk to a supervisor apparently they send the info to a supervisor and the supervisor likewise did not feel a need to come out immediately. So I called the Public Utililties Commission of Ohio to file a complaint. Some phone numbers cannot be dialed on the phone. A few years ago when I reported this they did not even know how to explain it!! I am shocked they are still in business. As far as the phone calling 911 on its own, it seems that the neighbor had the same problem the week before. So I saw the technician out fixing her problem and then right after than I started to have a problem. I honestly feel the technicians per my exprerience create more problems. One time a few years ago after the guy left my caller ID did not work. He said the internet did not work good and he split the wire by the upstairs phone. When another guy came out after that HE had to undo what the first guy did. So the only way to send a message is to cancel them and go with Spectrum ASAP and teach them that bad, rude customer phone service and bad phone and internet service is not tolerated. Not to mention their disregard for police and the incovenience the Lousy Windstream service imposes on the manpower resources.

The tech thought that the SIM card may not be connecting incoming numbers. I would need to have my sister and her phone with me for service since I was not on the account, as there are passwords.
