I purchased the laptop from Best Buy and added insurance but my only option with them was to have Best Buy take my machine and ship it to their service center, to be returned to me in 6-8 weeks. Yeah um, as a consultant, that's hardly an option. Joe had me up and running within a few hours and even provided a loaner so I could in the meantime. Happy to support a local business and grateful the process was smooth. Hoping I don't need to return for anymore tech assistance but won't hesitate to do so. Note that Joe only accepts cash so you'll want to factor that in.

A guy named James came out, figured out what the problem was, unplugged everything for me and took it into their Avon storefront. I opted for the upgraded repair option because the computer was about 7 years old. He installed Windows 11 on it for me and got everything backed up and transferred for me. First off, I've been working in the tech…read moreindustry for almost 20 years, have built computers from scratch in the past, and currently spend the majority of my working day on a computer. Bottom line, I'm very familiar with computers and the problems that might be encountered. Recently my daughter's laptop 'died' on her. I'm pretty confident that I could have diagnosed and fixed the laptop myself, but working with computers all day, I felt it was a better use of my time to have someone else look at. I did a Google Search, found EZ Tech Computers near where I lived, and after reading the reviews, gave them a call and ended up dropping off the laptop with them. EZ Tech Computers quickly diagnosed and fixed the laptop, and over-delivered in terms of "time to fix". The entire experience, from the initial phone call to the now working laptop was fantastic! The diagnosis and options for fixing the laptop were presented to me in a professional, "no bs" type of way. I never disclosed my tech knowledge, and still never felt like i was being taken advantage of or being talked down to. Great customer service. Great expertise & knowledge. Very fair pricing.
