I recommend this store. When I come here, it really feels like a neighborhood store where people know each other. They try to help you as much as they can. I'm not talking about spectrum itself as a company but this store and the people that work there. They will try to get you the best deal they can give you. I have been there on Sundays, and it gets a little crowded, but they have a screen where you sign in, and they call you in order. Most unprofessional, rude and nasty staff. Even the GM was unexceptionally rude. I even helped a customer with their phone issue Davy f them time with something they could not help him with a simple matter the guy athanasio is l ignorant and it's like his first day looks like very unprofessional, knows nothing. He made a mistake, and he tried to argue with me. Meanwhile, I have service here never had a problem Always paid automatically and they don't wanna help me telling me they don't want to help me. We've always had a great experience at this Spectrum on 23rd Avenue in Astoria. The location is clean and spacious. Stevie is wonderful! She explains everything in a way that we can understand it and works to help us get the services that we need. This is definitely our go-to location. Their system for checking in is very good and you can even make an appointment before going there, which I haven't yet done. They seem to move very quickly. SCAM!!! They lie to you to add a phone number to your plan. A year back I had gone to transfer the account in my name. I made it clear to them that I am only interested in Internet, that I want the lowest price they have. They told me and insisted that there is nothing else lower than 80$ a month for internet but if I get a phone number in my name I will pay $45 the first year and not $80 which is for the Internet. When I saw on the bill that it said Internet/TV I started looking into it and found out I was paying $30 extra a month for TV I didn't ask for and never used. They take advantage of some people not having time and don't know it to earn their BONUSES and upsell to bigger contracts and it seems to be a group tactic as I remember the employee asking his superior that I spoke to about the internet. it's not bad to promote other programs, but things change when you lie to exploit the customer who at the time doesn't know. This Spectrum service location is pretty well run. Can't say they work with the upmost speed and efficiency, but the effort is observable, and the rapport the employees provide is always enjoyable. When I was ending my service, the representative assumed the day was today, rather than the end of the month, without asking for specifics. Luckily this was reversible and the issue was resolved with some extra time. Overall, I would rate the quality of my experience here as slightly above average. The wait isn't great though, you can probably expect to wait at least 5-15 minutes per visit. read more

The employees at this store (at least the one with the arm tattoos who helped me) could not care less if they tried. Complete lack of any semblance of customer service and could not even bother to say anything other than "no." No attempt to resolve a situation or even question what issue I have with my cable box. Spectrum is a cable company that robs it's customers blind. Then when you cancel your service they'll rob you more because there is no competition for cable providers....... its always good to call a place in advice before stopping by and thats what i did before going to spectrum in astoria on 23rd ave. this large corner spot was once a time warner joint but now its spectrum and i was able to pay my overdue cable/internet bill and get a replacement box to replace the one that was defective. staff are nice and they did try to sell me the spectrum phone plan which i declined and that was the end of that. i did upgrade my internet speed , add a few more interesting cable channels and have the spect sales rep help me set up autopay monthly cause i tend to let my mail pile up before opening. thanks spectrum for the fast and simple no hassle service and now its time to go to tellys and munch read more

They deserve less than one start, lousy service. No service for the last 9 days. Spectrum reschedule 3 appointments, send 2 technicians, none of them did nothing to solve the problem. 9 days without internet, cable , telephone. I will change to the competition. Verizon is more professional, reliable and better quality service. read more
