Since September 6 when Spectrum cable had their own outage we have had no cable. We have called countless times and were told they could not climb the pole because of tree limbs in the way and it was dangerous. We were told Oncor ownsthe pole and they would to do the trimming but Spectrum rents space on the pole and they will have to pay for the trimming job. Back-and-forth back-and-forth. OK we'll do it, no we don't do it, well they'll do that, no they don't do that-back and forth. So we went to the City of Arlington and got the plans for our lot and it showed a 7 1/2 foot utility easement behind our house and that's the reason our backyard fence has to take a big zigzag. So the trees behind our property are not ours. They either belong to the city or the utility company because it's their easement. Nobody will help us we are being bullied into cutting the trees are self which is gonna cost $800-$1000. I went on the site locally in my neighborhood called NEXTDOOR and a very lovely lady gave me information on who to contact. We emailed Tammy Dubbeke at State Representative Chris Turner's ofc. at NNO. SO to those that helped us through our emails ... 'If you were at all responsible for the Spectrum supervisor coming out today, I thank you a thousand times over. Supervisor Greg Allen and technician Nate came out and climbed the pole without any problem and ran a new line from the pole to my house. Instant cable. Their fix was so good it even woke up one of our old cable boxes that was frozen. Also a spike in billing today but they are going to give me credit for the days the cable was off. It is a good day!' Thanks again everyone for all your help. read more

Very disappointing experience with Spectrum. I signed up after the sales representative told me the service would be symmetrical, meaning the upload speed would match the download speed. That turned out not to be true. After installation, my wired speed test showed around 875 Mbps download but only about 30 Mbps upload, while my current AT&T fiber connection gets around 619 Mbps download and 559 Mbps upload with much lower latency. The sales representative also told me that if I did not want the service, I could simply give the equipment back to the installer. When the installer arrived, he said that was not true and told me he would not get paid if I refused the install, so I would need to return the equipment later myself. This felt misleading from the beginning. I was sold on upload speeds and an easy cancellation/return process that did not match reality. The installer was professional, but the sales side gave me incorrect information. I will be canceling during the trial period and keeping my AT&T fiber service. read more

spectrum as a whole company in my experience is horrible...first you sign up with a promotion then your billing starts going up without your knowledge, but it gets better because when you call them they really do not care and outages are like having the old dish back when weather is bad and if your lucky they will credit you 5 dollars back...ugh read more

I have had spectrum for 3 years at least. Not only have I had issues with phone service and internet, I recently moved and had my service transferred but they screwed up my address and went to a different one 2X.! And charged me extra for a service I didn't ask for, I was without internet/tv for a week. then I find out they charged me a transfer fee of 100 which they lacked to inform me of then also forgot to mention my automatic payments cease once transfer has started so I end up with late fees..Why in the word would they charge a transfer fee to loyal customers in the first place?!!! If you don't want a constant head ache for years, do not go with spectrum! If I could give a negative, I would! read more

Haven't had a poor experience with the people of this store specifically, but with spectrum as a whole. There has been an outtage at least once every two weeks for the entire year. And this week there was an outtage 3 days in a row from 5:00PM-7:30PM... called customer service and they couldn't even tell me why, but credited me some change like that's going to stop me from finding a new Internet service provider this week. Spectrum is horrible. Please do yourself a favor find another ISP Came back to edit/add: -another outtage 7/31/23: 6pm-11:30pm... unbelievable read more

Called to cancel my service back in September. Was told everything was good, and I would not get charged any further. Look at my account this month just to double-check, and I am still being charged. Had to call again and got the run around with them trying to keep me on as a customer in an address that I no longer live in. It should not be this painful to cancel a service, but Spectrum sure does try their best to get your hard-earned money. Will never do business with them again. read more

Thought I'd try their mobile phone service. Never got to experience the actual "phone service" because the phone they sold me would change settings on it's own so I would miss calls. Lady in the Corporate Store where I bought it tried to put the blame on my not understanding the settings. Fact is, I had been using this same model phone with a different carrier for over a 2 years. No more will I waste my time with Spectrum Mobile. read more

Absolutely the worst. 99% network reliability my ass. Best known for having to reboot everything in the house just to watch a TV show on the weekend. Pure garbage. read more

Well ATT fiber is not available in my neighborhood so I'm basically stuck with Spectrum & it's just awful. The customer service is poor & it's extremely unreliable. It's been going out 3-4 times per week & it's like they don't even care. To get any credit, it has to be out over 4 hours so in their mind, if it's out 3 hours a day, you're getting what you paid for. It's maddening. If you have any other options for high speed i-net, choose the other option. read more

My cable goes out every other weekend! I don't like this cable company! Cable goes out on the Weekend Every other month! I have gone without cable for a week and a half! The cable company always promises so kind of comp. On the Bill! I've never seen anything. Lost service. read more

STAY AWAY FROM SPECTRUM, HEED THE LOW RATING! What a horrible cable/internet provider. Lousy customer relations. I was told all services are paid a month in advance so after calling to seek better/lower rates I decided to change companies for a fair deal. Upon calling to cancel they then offered better deals. Too late alread went with someone else. THEY TRIED TO BILL ME FOR AN EXTRA MONTH, then sent it to collections when I refused to pay. I had returned equipment prior to final day. Within a week of collection notice I receive an offer for $40 an month. What a joke. read more

I'll start with the internet. I got the 500Mb plan for $40 a month, I was told as long as you pay in full every month and don't miss any payments it will stay at that price. Now its $80 as of this month,no warning, just poof! twice the price for crappy connection. I also stupidly bought a Samsung S23+ from them. Did the trade in and got a $600 off promotion on the phone, fast forward over a year later I still owe $500 on what was supposed to be a $400 phone with the promotion added! When you call in and talk to them they give you word salad and insinuate you misunderstood... no, they're telling lies. Texas is a one party state so I record all my calls and the explanation they gave in the beginning is not what they say when they realize you're fixing to dump them for another service. All I can say if you're considering them is understand all the good things they will promise, will all be lies. read more

A lot of the reviews here are for the internet company and not this particular location itself - which to my knowledge serves as a place to return your rented equipment. Unless these people are physically driving up here to get customer service instead of calling Charter directly, it bothers me that Yelp reviews do not reflect the correct experience. For example, if someone was to write that the Apple Store sucks because Apple cancelled AirPower, it does me no good because I'm looking to Yelp to see if that Apple Store experience - long lines for example - is good or not. AirPower cancellation has nothing to do with the store experience like how having your channels or internet not work has nothing to do with the equipment return experience here. So as far as returning equipment goes, I've been here twice and it has been an easy in and out transaction. Grab a number, get called, give back equipment, go home. read more

This shit sucks ! Internet sucks, cable so so, but internet DAMN sucks ! It's no reason it should just shut off while im working on the computer & there's nothing else connected to the wifi. Every mid email - "limited connection" LIKE WTF IS THAT?! Even on the game system, you cant get through a single f***ing game without it disconnecting you. Lan line OR Wifi . I moved into my townhouse a year ago and for the first six months straight I had to call them over to fix either my cable or my internet every month. That's a lot more than what I was expecting. I saw the cable man more than some of my friends...The cable and internet took turn not working so I would have to call in at least once a month. First couple of times they were happy to come fix it but then they started blaming me for the lost internet connection. I dont even know where the internet connection is outside, how can i break it? and why would break my own internet connection? does that make any sense to pay for something and break it myself? I couldnt cancel it because I was on a contract but believe me, I have thought about doing it for a year now! I would never get time warner again! read more

Nothing has improved - I blame it on the fact that Spectrum is beta-testing their new hardware and software on customers who are paying full price for substandard equipment. DVR sometimes records programs, sometimes not. When it does, it often does not stop when the program is over and will record 20, 30, 40 hours or more for one program which fills the DVR quickly. DEFECT! There are two menus both for the DVR and the guide and you can only get to the failover menus if the primary menus fail. The problem is that sometimes recorded programs aren't showing on the primary menu and they are still showing on the secondary menu - AND THERE'S NO WAY TO GET TO THE secondary menu when you need to. You have to hope that the primary menu fails - imagine that! CHARTER SPECTRUM SHOULD NEVER HAVE RELEASED THEIR DEFECTIVE EQUIPMENT TO THE PUBLIC AT FULL PRICE! read more

I went into the customer service office to grab a dvr box because the scheduled technician that was at my house at the time"forgot" to add the equipment required to complete his job. After getting the box, I headed to the car and noticed they forgot to give me a remote control for the dvr. I went back in and grabbed it without an apology or anything. I get home and hook it up and I can't wrap my head around what else was missing until I try to press the power button. That's when I noticed they didn't give me a power cord. Seriously? ! I ordered Spectrum because I was told I would get 100 to 200 Mbps speeds for streaming. That is misleading, sure I get it but it splits out among various devices depending on what you have connected to ethernet and Wi-Fi. The more connected the lower the speeds. That's because the modem is sending out the full speeds. But the router only has 1 antenna so it has to split the signals to the various devices. If you want to get a strong signal DON'T use THEIR ROUTER. GO BUY one yourself, with at least 3 antennas and coverage wide enough to cover your entire home. read more

It is astounding how difficult the cable industry makes it for their customers. My elderly mother needs to reduce her cable/internet/phone expense. After 30+ minutes on the phone with "Ellie", he promised a $40 reduction in the coming month. The new bill arrived without the promised pricing. Another an hour and a half on the phone still no resolution. One of the customer service reps actually argued that my mother should be satisfied with the existing package and would not explain why they would not honor their promise to reduce the bill by $40. When I asked to speak to another agent, he refused to transfer me. I finally hung up and spoke to three more people who were much kinder but equally ineffective. Too bad Spectrum does not keep their word. A lack of integrity, respect and caring is evident in their organization and it usually starts at the top. read more

I came in to this store with the intention of becoming a new customer/creating a new account, and the guy I talked to was very informative, BUT when it came time to actually setting up anything for me, he wouldn't do it. After we confirmed that my new address will be eligible for service, I asked him four times the same question: "okay, so can you set up the new service please?" And he just looked at me, and gave the same reply every single time, "yeah we can do that..... can I help you with any thing else?" "Yeah, can you set up the new service please?" "yeah we can do that..... can I help you with any thing else?" Just set up my damn service omg. In the end, I walked out without anything accomplished, and now I've been on hold on the phone with the product and services line for over 24 minutes now. Do y'all even want new customers or not? Okay, so I have so many thoughts on spectrum! First off, they literally harass you by knocking on your door at 8pm at night to sign you up... and when YOU do sign up it's complete JOKE! We did the self install option, and ya it's not self install. Our outside was not set up, supposedly sent someone out a week before our activation and said it was all good. I don't know what "all good" means to them, but our wires were cut so therefore we couldn't set up. So, there customer service is literally hit or miss, they have no idea what they are talking about. They lie and try to talk around the problem. Nothing ever gets solved. DO NOT SIGN UP!! read more
