Drove down to Waco for a weekend and spent a bit searching for a quality liquor store to stock up…read more Google led me to this place and I was very impressed. The store has a sort of upscale liquor store feel to it. It was extremely clean and well organized. It took us no time at all to find all of our necessities for the weekend. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were in and out of the store in about five minutes which is impressive for as many different product that we had to find before we left. We drove down the street for a few miles to get back to our hotel and some some very run-down liquor stores not to far away. We were very pleased that we chose Twin Liquors during our trip!

Average. Gains an extra star for not forcing me to put my pin number in when using my debit card…read more After having my card info and pin cloned here in Waco I am very leery of using my card in this town. Especially my pin number. My last contract in Waco I came here all the time because 1) I didn't know Specs was here and 2) I didn't know Spec's was here!. I went one more time today to see if it had improved any. Again no greeting when I come in this very small location. I wandered around for 15 minutes checking the beer wine n liquor selection. Not 1 perrson offered to help or even say anything to me at all which has been the same on all my visits. If you enjoy wine you will probably be satisfied with selection. If you are looking for beer n liquor not so much. Tend to have the small bottles of liquor and the big bottle. Not many of the mid size bottles at all. Beer selection is OK. Prices compared to Specs about .50-75 cents more. Liquor $1-2 more If you are coming to just get 1 or 2 items it probably won't matter so much. If you are coming for supplies or service go to Specs. As I am leaving I thank the cashier and say have a great night. She said absolutely nothing. Does that make you want to come back?

The store is intimate and could be intimidating, but the staff is so friendly and helpful. They mostly stock natural wines from France, Spain, and Italy. My mom does not drink much at all and we didn't get a snobby vibe from the employees - just welcoming. There are maps of the countries the wine is from, which feels like a nice perspective. It feels worldly without being elitist. The small interior could be intimidating because there are no private spaces - all public conversations - but everyone we met was so warm and easy to speak to. If we lived in town, we'd take advantage of their wine CSA - 3 bottles a month for $55. We sampled 3 wines and had a glass of wine each and our total was about $18. A random note - their bathrooms are so cool!

I moved to North Waco for cheap rent. But I stay here in part because of the proximity to some of…read morethe best Waco establishements. My favorite of them all is Ward Liquor. To get right to the point, you will not find cheaper spirits in Waco. The only thing that comes close is Discorte's Tuesday and Wednesday discounts. If you look closely, you'll find some fantastic deals. Citadelle gin, one of the finest available, has been remarkably underpriced for nearly a year now. Blanton's is also surprisingly cheap. The second, and I think equally important, advantage to Ward's is the helpfullness of the staff. The same people are always there, eager to help. They quickly become familiar faces and always recognize their frequent customers. The only disadvantage to this store is a lack of selection and/or inventory. Although I am able to find most every brand, it's occasionally difficult to find variety of sizes of certain brands. Their liquer and mixer section is also limited. Even so, they fit an amazing amount of variety in this small store. I highly recommend Ward Liquor. It's worth the drive even if you don't live in North Waco.
