This is my favorite place to get prescription sunglasses/ glasses. I had no luck at a couple of other places and was pleasantly surprised when I walked into Specs by Kyla. She had SO MANY options, and they were fun, stylish options, not outdated "been on the shelf for years" options. She took her time to find sunglasses she thought fit me, and we tried on a bunch. Kyla called my eye dr to get my prescription and filled out forms for my insurance to reimburse me for part of the cost. She made it SOOO easy. When they were ready, I came in, she adjusted them and made sure they fit correctly, and has continued to follow up and make sure I am happy. I will definitely be back! I loved her honesty and effort to adjust frames to get the fit just right. She had selected a plethora of frames that she thought I'd like going by my face shape. A gem!! The store and the owner! I purchased new glasses at Specs by Kyla a few weeks ago. I was in town visiting. First the store is light filled and full of THE most beautiful frames. Then there is Kyla, the owner. She has years of experience and a love for helping you find the right frame and fit on you. I have never had such a fun experience, plus ended up with the most perfect beautiful frames for me. I see frames on others and think they are what I want. Kyla helped me see why they were either too big or did not fit my face correctly for one reason or another. She also suggested some frames that were so pretty they were like art. Through that selection process with Kyla, I bought three frames: sunglasses, progressives, and a pair of super light frames for exercising. I just couldn't walk away from that third pair! She also adjusted two old pair that had never fit me properly that I purchased elsewhere years ago (and sat on many times). They fit great now and will work fine til my new frames come in. Kyla even helped me get my updated eye script from my Out of town eye Dr. I'm bringing my cousin from Sacramento next! Kyla is a gift to SLO county but she is also worth traveling to Atascadero for your eye glass adventure! It's a cute town with the best optical shoppe ever!! I'll update as soon as my glasses arrive. Both my husband and I have purchased several pairs of glasses from Kyla. She is so much fun, cheerful, and knowledgeable. Also, she has a knack for looking at your features and knowing what would compliment your face, and is delicately honest with her opinion on what you have chosen to try on (as to whether they work to enhance your face structure and looks); not just trying to sell you something. She is also willing to help you step out of your normal 'look' and spiff things up a bit with color or shape in frames (we know that because of the compliments our friends and family have subsequently made). After you have a week or so at home and work wearing your new glasses, she follows up and checks in to make sure you are happy.
