I highly recommend Specialty Autoplex! Had a great experience buying my 1st vehicle. Customer service was great and my Jeep Wrangler that I always wanted is amazing couldn't be happier. The entire process was fast and easy, they also have a big selection to choose from you won't be disappointed. read more

I should have read the reviews prior to my 4.5 hour drive to Arlington, after being promised that a Jeep Wrangler was in "pristine" condition". Within 5 minutes of my visit and inspection of the jeep (thankfully having the assistance from an educated mechanic who accompanied me), we found wide spread oil leaks and transmission issues; and they basically used black spray paint to hide suspected issues. One star is not even worthy for this review. read more

What a nice car buying experience I had here. Everyone was so kind and attentive to my needs! They put me in a 2016 Nissan Sentra SV in great condition! In addition, I brought the car back the next day because I noticed a little nick in the windshield and they sent me to someone who could repair it right away with no additional charge! I have never felt so cared for when buying a car and even after purchasing the vehicle still receiving such great service. Traci, Don and Dave are THE BEST!!! Thank you all! read more

Specialty Autoplex was my first choice to purchase a used Jeep due to the excellent google reviews, I went to view the ones I was interested in and David was very helpful in telling the history of the Jeep. We walked around the body and discussed the things that was done to that particular model and other things about Jeep wise. The mechanics there change the oil before you leave with your purchase, and check all the other fluids which is very nice! If they're selling a Jeep, it's definitely in road worthy shape which is important since I'm using mine as a daily driver. I enjoyed David's kindness while going over paper work and the easy financing they offer, and how thoughtful he was to check up on the vehicle a few days after purchase to insure satisfaction. Every vehicle comes with a 3 month warrenty with the price! Highly recommend! Landon J. 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport read more

Talked to these guys about a truck they had, and was very disappointed the more I looked into them. I will say, I did not do business with them, however I am writing this to tell you why. The vehicles I was interested in were far above KBB value. The one I liked in particular was almost 150% of the prices for similar vehicles elsewhere. They took five days to return my call. Next, their advertised prices are for cash only. They state this fact on another page, not next to the advertised price. Finally, god help you if your credit is not great, as they quoted me 20% financing even though I would put a large percentage down. My opinion was they were overpriced to begin with, then want to charge you an even higher price if you finance, then want to drag your bleeding corpse over the coals with an outrageous finance rate if they finance for you. My opinion is that they seemed to take complete advantage of a customer, particularly customers with less than stellar credit. I purchased my truck, (same truck with leather instead of fabric) and 30k less miles for $6,000 cheaper less than 5 miles away. I was financed for 9% and treated respectfully the whole time. My phone call was returned within an hour, and I got a call the next day to make sure I was happy and to offer me my first oil change for free. I wont state the name of the dealership I bought at, so as not to distort this review, but I will say they made me a customer for life. On the other hand, Specialty Autoplex will never be bothered with another phone call from me... read more

I bought a Wrangler from Dave and feel they camouflaged many known issues, beyond the rust below the new shinny black paint job. Their fix for signs of oil leaks, "we replaced valve cover caskets"; $500.00 later I'm still chasing oil leaks. Five months into ownership $3K was required for Transmission repairs. While they replaced brake pads on the front, Rotors had to be replaced 4K miles later and yes there is more. On top of an excessive high price, in less than a year I've invested nearly $5K and truly concerned about WHATS NEXT!! read more

My husband and I have bought vehicles from Specialty Autoplex over the years and our experience has always been a positive one. Dave has been easy to work with and very helpful in every aspect of purchasing vehicles. Dotchie has been pretty awesome as well!! read more

I bought a Wrangler from these guys, and they said they had checked everything thoroughly. Within a few months, I found the engine needed to be replaced, the dash had been rewired incorrectly and any amount of moisture from morning dew or rain would cause all the gauges to shut off. And it had also been taken off-roading and had water damage because of it, inside. I learned a lot in what to look for when buying a used Jeep. I recently called about a used Cherokee they had thinking I may give them another chance, but every Cherokee they had was priced ridiculously high -- thousands over KBB value. When I asked about it because the Cherokee looked stock, I was told they don't go by KBB value because Cherokees are worth more than they say. If you're looking for a Jeep, my advice is look elsewhere. read more

Specialty Autoplex gave us a fantastic car buying experience. They were extremely helpful and made the process quick and easy. Before buying from Dave, I had been looking for a used wrangler for almost six months before I found Specialty Autoplex. After looking at countless other jeeps from other sellers, we bought a 2003 Wrangler from Dave and his inventory is in by far the best condition out of all of the other Jeeps I looked at. For any small problems or concerns we had about the jeep Dave was quick to help and see that the issues were fixed as soon as possible. Overall, it was a great experience because of the customer service at Specialty Autoplex and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a used Jeep. read more

I went to Specialty Autoplex and was suplrised at the level of experence there. The prices are spot on and they answered every question I had. I'll be buying my Jeep from them in the weeks to come and I will refer my friends to them in the future. read more

This dealer does not inspect or repair any of its vehicles prior to resale, they claim they specialize in jeeps, yet the jeep I purchased with low miles, has had one problem after another, almost all components not covered in their aftermarket warranty will break or be on its last leg soon after your purchase, so with that said; be very aware and look intensely under the hood and under chassis,or you will be sorry like me if you don't. I now own a rusted out jeep, Yay!!! thanks for nothing SPECIALTY AUTOPLEX in ARLINGTON, TX. I'll make sure to never come back. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone I know or don't know. It has been a complete comedy show and thousands of dollars wasted. If this is your last option, by a bike. They only want your money. Please do not waste your hard earned money there. Less than a month of having the car the axle broke as I was pulling into the parking lot at work. After calling them and telling them what happened I was told that the insurance did not cover it. And if I wanted it fixed I'd have to have the car towed back to their shop and pay for the expenses out of pocket and they wouldn't give me a car to drive in the meantime. I ended up having the car fixed for $460 at discount. A few months later I took the car to a mechanic because of a rattling sound that I was hearing. I was told numerous problems were wrong with the car such as: the right-front rotor was rubbing inside the caliber, bad motor mounts, cracked engine mount, lower right ball joint, upper left ball joint and the car needed new rotors brakes and calipers. The mechanic told me there is no way they didn't know this, and thwt damage did not happen over the few months I had the car. He told me it'd be best to sell the car or sell the pieces because that was thousands of dollars worth of work to fix. After talking with specialty Autoplex they told me that they can only cover two of those things and they were the cheapest two. When I first got the car, I was told the monthly payments were going to be reported to the credit bureau to help improve my credit score. I just found out two weeks ago that they weren't even reporting it on my credit statement so there's another lie from I would not recommend this place to anyone that I know or don't know. Dave was very helpful and friendly. No pushy salesman at this dealership. Enjoyed the whole process and love my car!

This place is a SCAM!! Do Not buy a vehicle from here! They will be nice at purchase but it's a SCAM! I was wondering why Dave kept asking me to leave a good review when we drove off the lot but I'm glad I forgot to do it because it would've been a LIE!! Our truck didn't work as well as they said it would after they got our money, they will act professional but you better pray to the Lord for guidance before you do business with them because IT'S A SCAM! We pay $200 every two weeks and when we missed a payment I tried to pay that payment plus the one due but they refuse to let us pay the two payments! It's like they were waiting for us to miss a payment so that they can pick the truck up! We weren't a month behind or always late paying or anything bad, I think that they are about to get another big down payment from someone else then SCAM them next with this truck! It's awful what they're doing!! read more

My wife and I purchased a Jeep Wrangler to have as a third vehicle to tool around in. I found that Specialty Autoplex had a wide variety of choices, both in color and options. We worked with Dave and visited several times before making the purchase. He was very helpful and patient with us. We have only had our Jeep for a few weeks but have found them to be responsive to any questions we have had. We haven't experienced any issues with the Wrangler we purchased. read more

Word to the wise. Before you buy an auto from these people, have your certified and TRUSTED mechanic take a thorough look at it. 50 to 100 dollars would be a good investment to have it thoroughly checked out. I purchased a van from Specialty Autoplex and it has been a nightmare. A month into my purchase the van didn't start. I took the new looking interstate battery that was in the van to Autozone and had to replace it. I was upset. My problems we not over. The check engine light came in so I took the van to my mechanic and when he removed the cover for the engine and lifted it, he asked me "where did I purchase the van, Somewhere back east". The engine compartment and the undercarriage was extremely rusted and corroded. He replaced the radiator for starters and then the front ball joints, he also replaced the entire break system (rotors, drums, brake shoes, and all the hardware. It took him hours and lots of heat to remove tho old ball joints. it was laborious. I have pictures, my mechanics statement, and receipt for parts. I called Dave and he told me he would take care of it. I was naively excited to hear that. The only thing that they were going to reimburse me was for the break pads. The reason that I am writing this report is to warn other people of my situation. read more
