We appreciate recommended Bosch refrigerator and stove and Sharp microwave several years ago. The products are beautiful, fit our setting well and have performed as designed. While Bosch is pricier than some other brands, we find them an excellent selection. Receipt of the appliances was late. The representatives were unreliable about information of timing. Eventually we lost trust in what we began to feel were misrepresentations. This acquisition was during the health crisis of 2000-2001. The breakdown in service may have been related to the myriad of disconnects during the health and economic calamity. read more

His knowledge is unmatched -- he knew every detail about each appliance and walked us through our options in a way that felt both informative and effortless. I'm so sorry to write this negative review. Every item I ordered from Specialties Showroom has required warranty work/repair within the first month. That being said, stuff happens and I'm working through the warranty process. My major complaint is with their installation team, lack of communication, and lack of consideration for the safety of their customers. They recommended a Dave N to perform the installation of my new oven and hood. I won't go into all the drama around that, as again, I understand that stuff happens. The big problem here is that 6 months later, this hood is literally falling off its base. I'm not a contractor but I can see that the installation was shotty and has clearly failed.  I'm writing this because I have reached out to the installer multiple times, he has not returned my calls. I've reached out to Specialties Showroom multiple times, they placate me with condescending and empty promises that they'll reach out to Dave N to ensure that he repair his failed installation, and now weeks later, I've had no resolution and still no contact from the guy who botched the install.   Again, I understand that Specialties Showroom can't control the quality of the individual appliances that they sell however they do have control over safety concerns around their installers and how they approach the recovery of failed installations. These people know that this hood is falling, I've sent photos, made multiple calls, and they don't seem to care.   I try to shop local from independent businesses, though I'm crossing this one off my list. We had a great experience. Bought a refrigerator and they said it was in stock and they could deliver the following Thursday. It was delivered on Thursday on time and the 2 men that delivered it did an incredible job of installing despite a problematic situation with the built in we had. I will never do business with this place again. Told 7-10 days to get a dishwasher and here we are over 30 days and no dishwasher. I had to call twice to find out where it is and was told I'd get a call by end of the day and no call. Installer went to pick it up and left because he got tired of waiting on them. Took the morning off of work to not receive delivery and no one seems to think it's a big deal. read more

Side by Side refrigerator ordered (with 50% deposit paid) on 6/14/21. Received a call on 8/19/21 that the refrigerator was at their warehouse so scheduled delivery on 8/31/21. Paid remaining monies owed. Moved all food into coolers, disconnected water line and actually moved old refrigerator near front door. Received call from the delivery staff the morning of 8/31/21 saying delivery between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Received call at 1:05 p.m. on 8/31/21 saying my refrigerator was not actually in their warehouse so it will not be delivered as indicated. Could be an additional 2 or more weeks. Used up almost an entire day moving food, etc. Salesman was knowledgeable and friendly but they seem to have inventory issues above and beyond COVID complications. Rethinking using them for future purchases. read more

My parents bought a new GE refrigerator here two years ago. It immediately required service on the ice maker. 20 service calls later there's major issues with it including constantly freezing food no matter what they do and my dads important medicine. The store emptily promised a new fridge that my parents have yet to see. The store also has GE service people that provide conflicting information to no resolution. Will update if this ever gets resolved. Until then we don't recommend shopping here. read more

Ken Goss, owner of Specialties Showroom, is one word -- amazing! His attention to customer service is exceptional, plus he is just a really nice person. I ordered one type of range and when the installer came it was discovered that I could use a different type. Ken guided me through the whole process and was considerate of my budget and timing needs and recommended the perfect range, which they had in stock. He also helped me pick a range hood that is perfect for my needs. I had some issues with the installer and Ken stepped in and made sure I was taken care of, listening carefully and coming up with a solution. He continued to follow up after the installation which impressed me so much. The showroom has beautiful products, but the customer service is what sold me! They have the very best and the price's are as you would expect The service is exceptional polite considerate and very knowledgeable. We were lucky to get Tim Priest, he is a real winner and extremely helpful and accommodating. If you want high end appliances and top shelf service this is the place to shop. I love their selection and there brand names. I selected a Wolf, 6 burner that had a dehydrator function . The delivered item did not. I suggest really checking what they put on your order form before any deposit. At delivery it is difficult to check until installation is completed. read more

I went to Specialties for new appliances in October 2015. There were concerns with measurements of the cooktop and my existing cabinet...there was concern that it may not fit. They had an installer come out to take measurements. He said it would be close but said he could make it work. I went back and place the order for $6000 worth of appliances. I put down a deposit for half that amount. They said the installer was very busy and would be a few weeks. I was fine with that, as I was not in a big hurry. Thanksgiving passed and I called back. The salesman gave me some response that they were waiting on me!! Of course I was a little put back. I told him I signed and put my deposit down, and I was told it would be a few weeks. He apologized and and said he would get back to me. He never called back. I called him and he said the installer was to call me. He said he would take care of it and call me back. He never called back. Now Christmas was closing in and was too busy to deal with it then. I waited till January to call back. I spoke with the salesman again. He finally got the installer to come out, but he only installed the oven and did not fully complete the installation of it, but it was useable. He was going to come back to finish. It was two weeks before he came back. When he came back, he found that the cooktop was broken. A new one had to be delivered. At that time he started hedging on whether it would fit. He took more measurements and said he wanted to check out some other appliance options and get back with me. He did 3 weeks later. He came out to install it. Again he left it useable but not finished. He said it would be a couple weeks. After a month I called the manager. Succinctly the same thing occurred. I had to call back. He said the installer was to call me. He said he would take care of it and get back to me. Well, it is now August 2016 and I'm still sitting on a installation that is not finished. I was forced to pay off the bill for the appliances to get the installer to come out after the oven was installed. Now I'm having to go threw a legal process to resolve matters. I wrote this in hopes that no one else has to go through this. Be aware!! read more

I'd like to shout out a HUGE thanks to Tim Priest and Ken Goss at Specialties Showroom! These two guys went above and beyond to have a bad situation rectified! We bought a new GE dishwasher from Specialties Showroom. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to all of us the dishwasher was defective and we found out due to a new wood floor that started to buckle because the dishwasher was leaking from the center seal. Upon inspection, the GE repairman told us we would need to take the entire dishwasher apart and rebuild it from scratch. NOT! I called Tim Priest and he gave me the number for GE Cares. I called them and was told that GE's Insurance company would get back to me in two days. That didn't happen. I called and called and finally in frustration I called Tim Priest back. He assured me they would replace the dishwasher and would put in a call to Sedgwick Insurance Company to get things expedited. He was going on vacation so referred me to Ken Goss and between the two of them they got the insurance company to acknowledge my calls. We now have a new working dishwasher and Sedgwick Insurance is writing a check for the damage to the floors. salesman was knowledgeable when I was in the store, but always seemed to be in a hurry to get me off the phone when I called. I did order all my kitchen appliances from them. They gave me names of installers. Their installer did an awful job! The garbage disposal fell off on Christmas day spewing dirty water everywhere, the dishwasher came detached and had to be reinstalled (for another $125) and the hot water line to the DW was not tightened adequately, causing a slow leak that damaged my wood floors, and the drywall on the ceiling in the finished basement. Specialties did nothing to ameliorate this. read more
