He used a variety of exercises, stretches, and massages to heal my muscles. Within a week I was seeing results and reduced pain! Which is a miracle because, I haven't felt this way since before my injure. Not only this but, he is kind, confident, and always professional. I was also co-treated with Val who always seems to have something new for me to try (yay!) and seems to know exactly where I need to be treated! Spenser evaluated my issues and found that my right leg was shorter than the other as well as identifying the possible causes of my pain. Over the course of 6 weeks six both Spenser and Alex provided physical therapy exercises and within a very short period of time my endurance and gait improved significantly and my hip, knee and ankle pain improved significantly. I also have experienced great results from the at-home exercises. I will be discharged tomorrow, 8/13/26 and couldn't be happier with my results. Having fallen several times, with and without my walker, I have been in and out of physical therapy for the past fourteen years. I have a total lumbar fusion, two total knee replacements, an index finger surgery in which I nearly lost it, three abdominal surgeries, and am obese. Since moving to Littleton, CO, from Wisconsin in 2024, I have been on continuous oxygen therapy 24/7 for COPD. Additionally, I have neuropathy in both feet and lymphedema, and I underwent vascular surgery on both legs within the past year. I use tactile compression boots on my legs and feet daily and often wrap them with Ace bandages. The therapists here are brilliant! I am very impressed with their knowledge and skills, and my primary care doctor is equally pleased with their practice. I had Rebecca and Tom for most of the first fifteen months. Tom consistently monitored my oxygen levels because I wasn't on oxygen therapy until he diagnosed that I needed it. My oxygen levels stayed at 80-83 for a few sessions, and I began feeling weak and faint. He told me I needed my doctor to check me and prescribe oxygen so I could raise my level above 90. I am very grateful to him because my previous primary care doctor was less than satisfactory. I made an appointment with a pulmonologist at the National Jewish Health Center in Denver, where I was sent home with an oxygen canister the same day. Shortly after, I found a new primary care doctor. I returned after a couple of weeks and continued my sessions with Tom and a student field experience associate for a few months. After a five-month break, I have returned to Functional Performance and am starting to focus on my back and legs. Tom is no longer at this location, so I have seen Rebecca and Alex. Rebecca reassessed me and assigned me to Alex for the coming weeks. He did an excellent job warming up my back muscles and legs. Then, he guided me through the exercises Rebecca had assigned on my first day back. I am keeping a daily workout log and sending it to my daughter via SMS to stay motivated. Thanks to all the wonderful staff at Functional Performance, including the amazing receptionists and administrative assistants, Laura and Mary!

Peak PT is just an unbelievable knowlegeable and compassionate group. This review pertains to the Hale Parkway location. I again had shoulder pain 4 weeks after a cortisone shot rendered me pain free. Dr. Parker, my orthopedic, gave me the option of one more cortisone shot and then surgery-- or PT. When I started, I was barely swimming 50 m freestyle as my shoulder could not withstand impingement after my surgery of 8 years ago. A combination of 20 min massages by Steve, combined with some needling (Jennifer) and cupping plus creative bands and balance workouts crafted by Beth, Aaron, Connor, and Taylor, all of whom devised exercises to not only strengthen my shoulder but also to work on balance. Not only have I increased my swimming from barely 1000 m to 2000 m+; I can also now just hop up onto the starter blocks -- no wobble just solid footing--strong starts (gone the fear of DQ from perhaps falling in!). I worked with this group for 4 months - twice a week - the result was just outstanding. Not only was the PT effective, but so much fun -- I really miss PT --how many reviews state that! The table is comfortably toasty and the music is chill. Deb and I have great conversation. If it's a sleepy day for me, we'll not talk and that's alright, too. Deb let's me know when she feels a particular tight area, which helps me with remembering to target certain areas to stretch when I exercise. She gets those knots out! I feel sooo much better after my massage. The front desk admin, Robin, is always super nice as well and asks how I'm doing. It's just all around a peaceful place to go and be rejuvenated.
