These guys are great! I got the mid level 3M tint on the front and rear windows + rear windshield for $300 out the door. There may be cheaper deals at other places, but their work comes with quality products and work. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours after calling them. They explained the different tints they offer and were really helpful. They took approximately 2.5 hours to finish my car. Totally satisfied! read more

Saw this place had only three reviews, so I had to fix this immediately. Got a Lexus IS tinted here, called and was able to make an appointment the same day. Jae was very helpful, explained everything, and also showed me pictures as well as actual cars with the various tint shades. Took about three hours but I live about 1.5 miles away so I just dropped the car off and walked home (though I was offered a ride home!) The waiting area, however, if you have to wait, is comfy. I was pleasantly surprised to meet Jae, I believe he runs this shop himself. It's extra clean inside and just by the look of the shop you can tell he has a great attention to detail, which I really was looking for in someone I was going to trust in throwing shade on my M3. I highly recommend this shop... I did my research and he has competitive prices, great attitude and amazing outcome. Since my car has bubbled tinting from the factory, I was informed by Jae that it will take a couple weeks for the tinting to settle around the edges of the factory tint that is permanently applied to the glass of the windows, I await being able to look at it in it's fully tinted glory. I went here after some asshole broke the glass on my Subaru. My insurance fixed the glass but it was up to me to replace the tint on the window. The original tint on my car was done at a different shop in NorCal, but Specialized Auto Tint was able to do a pretty close match of the original. I paid $40 cash and got a lifetime warranty. The quality of the work was definitely better than the work I had on my other glass. I definitely recommend this place read more

First time getting my car tinted and I'm glad I went to Jae. Husband found him using Yelp and we were quite confident going to Jae because of his GREAT reviews. Got the new Prius C and the patterns weren't available since they weren't out yet, but Jae was able to manually (through a comp) cut out the pattern. You are paying for quality and Jae is quality. I don't think it matters if his place of business is at an oil change place--the plaza where the oil change + Jae's tint place is called Car Tech Auto Service + other car services, so you would want to go the place that has car service businesses around. I called ahead of my visit and was able to get an appointment the same day along with a quoted price of 200 dollars for their base tint. The owner is very friendly and helpful. They use 3M tint, which is the best quality you can get along with a lifetime warranty. There are 4 different shades that you can choose from. I told him ahead of time that I wouldn't be able to pick my car up until after work which was after their closing hours. It was not a problem and offered to stay until I was available. Disappointed. Wasted my time. I read all the great reviews and decided to set an appointment to have the dark window tint on my car removed to add a lighter tint. (i bought it used and the first owner put limo tint on the windows). I called on a Friday and Jae (the owner) said he can do it the next day at 9am so I made an appointment for the next day and gave him my name and phone number. Well, I showed up at 8:45am the next day only to see him in motorcycle gear with a bunch of friends. He acted like we never spoke on Friday, then said he had me down for 2pm, then said he had me down for 11am. I could tell he was in a rush and his buddies were waiting for him to go on a motorcycle ride. He had no time for me. He wanted me to leave my car with him and I could tell he was going to leave. There was no way I was leaving my car especially since we had not even talked about the tint I wanted reapplied. Based on all the reviews I am disappointed at the poor customer service. read more

Like another poster, I contacted based in part on great Yelp reviews. I emailed with the year, make, and model and got a prompt response form Jae quoting $150-300 for my car depending on the type of tint/warranty. I contacted a few days later to make the appointment and he replied "ANY WAY WE HAVE ONLY ONE PRICE FOR A8 450$ ( BECAUSE IT TAKE 4-5 HR / ALL MOST FULL DAY JOB. )" Several other shops in the area are $100-250 less, including the Audi dealer. He may be very good, but I doubt he's that good. read more

I setup my appointment about a week ago and I was the first one to arrive about 30min before the store opened. The worker told me I was going to the first car of the day, I was so excited, he told me come back in two hours and so I did. I received a ticket for my window tint and had to get them removed. I didn't feel like driving very far, so I went somewhere local and I was pleasantly surprised. Jae removed my tint, and was very meticulous in removing it. He made sure every bit of the tint residue was removed, and cleaned up the mess afterwards. As he was cleaning the inside part of my window, I had bird poop on my window on the outside that I secretly wanted him to clean off; but it wasn't part of the job so I didn't say anything. When I got back to the car, I found that he took the initiative to go ahead and clean the bird poop off. Little details like this, I believe, manifest true customer service. After the job was done, he even advised me as to where I could go to get my tickets signed off, and which option would be the best. He was very kind, and you can tell that he takes pride in his work. I went here to get my new car tinted, he uses LLumar and 3M, which are both really good brands after extensive research. They quoted me a really good price ($200 for all my windows llumar...but you can go 3M also). They also guarantee workmanship, so if there are bubbles or whatever to your tint in the future, they'll take care of it. On top of that, if you get a ticket for your front door windows, they'll take it off for free. It's behind 24 hour fitness sport on Irvine Center Drive, they have free internet, computers if you don't have one yourself and a good waiting area. Also there are food places around if you want to take a bite to eat...I also thought about going to the gym while I wait, but, eh, I'm lazy. Jae, he worked on my car and did a really good job, no complaints whatsoever! If you go there, Ask for JAE! read more

absolutely awesome work. i was quoted a little high over email, i ended up calling to make an appointment but got an even lower quote. once i got there he said it would take a couple hours because they had a lot of cars to complete. i didnt mind, it took about 3 hours total, but he only spent about 2 hours on my car. at the very end he gave me a small discount which was great.he is at a reasonable price for excellent service. his service was $80 dollars lower than other places that i called around. their work turned out fantastic! read more

I decided to try Specialized Auto Tint because of the positive reviews on Yelp and was not disappointed. Jae was great! My windows had sticky residue all along the edges from the previous tint job (which had to be removed when it was sold in CA). Also, I had my car washed the day before and the wax they used left a residue on the windows that also made tinting difficult. Jae was able to clean the windows and apply the tint perfectly all without charging me extra. He told me it normally would cost extra but because he did not tell me that in the original quote, he would not. Even when I offered to pay the extra anyway because I knew how hard it was to get the residue off (believe me, I had tried before) he would not accept it and only charged me the original amount. Amazing customer service and a gorgeous tint job. If I ever need another car done, this is the place I'm going! read more

I think I was one of the first customers to get a clear bra installed on my car a few years back. I was able to get the best price with Jae and he even drove me home after dropping off my car. Initially he refused to put the clear bra on my car, but for good reasons. He said the hood had too many scratches and would not look good if I didn't get that taken care of first by getting it fixed/detailed. We arranged for someone he knew to come to his shop to buff it out and then he was able to proceed with the install. He said it was a pain to put the bra on my headlights and bumper because of the curvature of the pieces, and I believed him. The final outcome was great and has lasted for at least 3 years now, don't really notice any peeling or discoloration. He also threw in a tint of my windows for a cheap price because he couldn't stand for my car not to have the windows tinted. The window tint has been perfect so far also. I do see some pretty big marks on the clear bra due to road debris and don't want to imagine what it would have done to my car without it. I have referred many friends to Specialized Auto Tint knowing that Jae will get the job done well for a reasonable price. read more
