The owner is initially very friendly and give good recommendations. Unfortunately, the quality is not so great. I did a windshield tint on Tesla Y. When I picked up the car, there are many pockets of water across the windshield. I was told these spots would disappear over night, so I accepted the car. However, while pockets are gone, they leave some minor ripple around that are noticeable when you are seeing objects in the distance. I showed the car to the owner after a week and the owner don't recognize any defects and blame it on the windshield. I asked him if I could have tint removed to proof that but the owner says he will charge $150 for removal. I showed the car to the other shop, and they recognized the issue immediately stating that the tint is likely defected and looks low quality (looks grainy). Even the cost of removal of the windshield tint is much cheaper than what this shop offer. I won't recommend this shop if you are looking for high quality service/products. read more

Brought in my 2002 Mercedes Benz and Kwang did a superb job on tinting my car. He gave me great advice on what tinting opI should choose. Now my car looks fly. This is the 3rd car I have brought here over the years and he always does an immaculate job at a very competitive price. Don't waste your time going to these big overpriced tinting services when you can get a more personalized and better service here. I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. read more

Mr. Chong did a great job on our Tesla. We dropped our car off the night before the appointment due to our schedule. Our Tesla app showed him working on our car well into the evening! He is very honest and his attention to detail is what makes us recommend him 100% read more

Mr. Kwang is very nice and good person. He was very accommodating to my schedule. He took his time to explain to me the difference between the tints and the value difference for which tiny to get. Based off his help we made a decision together. I can't recommend him enough. Great work, great person and great quality service. read more

I've been a returning customer and continue to have a great experience every time. There was a small glitch during my recent visit with my Tesla Y, but Mr Kwang handled it professionally and even provided the service free of charge to make things right. I really appreciate the excellent customer service, honesty, and care they showed. The tinting came out amazing, and I'll definitely keep coming back. Highly recommend! read more

I rarely write 1-star reviews, especially for minority owned businesses. But after the owner swears at you and tries to cheat you an extra few hundred dollars over the agreed-upon price, you gotta write it up. Kwang lied about the final price of doing my car after we agreed to $500. He also damaged part of my car, did not tell me, and after I discovered some broken parts, he tried to blame it on the age of the car. The left window he did revealed to have bumps on it after the chemical dried. He only offered to fix it after I showed it to him in person, but then, after waiting 9 hours, he didn't end up replacing it. Worst retail car shop experience of my life. Avoid at all costs. read more

All I can say is that Mr. Kwang is one of the few business owners who still takes pride in his work and is a true professional in his craft (20 years). His workmanship and attention to detail really deserve 10 stars if you ask me. I have used Mr.Kwang for many years as we change cars often, and his work is absolutely amazing. I just had my wife's brand new C63 AMG windows tinted and Mr. K added some window felt stripes to help the movement of the glass so it doesn't scratch the glass. I honestly couldn't believe and he didn't even charge extra for it. Honest, clean, and amazing work. If you care about your car, give Irvine Auto Center a try and you will not be disappointed. read more

Irvine Auto Center Window Tinting - 35% Ceramic window tint..wife loves it.. - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Irvine, California

I am a returning customer. My first car was a Subaru Impreza (hatchback), and most recently a Tesla Model 3. The tint job on both cars was perfect. One of the tints offered at the shop is 15% which is a unique shade not offered in many tint shops. Moreover, I was able to drop off the car the morning and had the car back a little after lunch time on both occasions. The shop does an excellent job consulting you before any tint job to ensure expectations are met. As part of the service, the shop offers a lifetime warranty should you need help with any repairs in the future. Lastly, the cost is reasonable and I would recommend Irvine Auto Center Window Tint anytime. read more

We bought my daughter a used car and the window tint was so dark she could not see at night. Kwong fit us in next day despite being booked, and removed the tint on the front 2 windows in under 30 minutes. It looks great - like the tint had never been there. Prices are incredibly reasonable compared to quotes I had been given from other tint shops. Super friendly and excellent customer service. Thank you! read more

I took my Yukon to Mr. Chong to have the tint redone. I didn't have an appointment and just stopped by on whim. Not only did he accept me as a walk in, he was finished within a few hours. Have used their services for several different cars over the years. Just had another tiny job done, looks great as always and cheaper than other companies. I truly recommend this place! Two window tints for Model Ys have done here. First vehicle was installed with Rayno film from owner, Chong's recommendation and brought my second one again tinted with the same film within two month. The Rayno has stunning quality. I have used Lumar on couple of vehicles for almost 17 years but the Rayno film visibility and especially blocking heat capability are way better than Lumar IRX! And the lower price than bubbles on Lumar. First and foremost Chong is very honest and his work is flawless. His suggestions and result of the work have been exceeded my expectation! read more

I've owned over 40 vehicles in my lifetime. One thing that's mandatory is getting each of my vehicles tinted. I've lived in various cities within OC and Riverside County, and therefore I've had many experiences dealing with tint shops. It was during my time living in Temecula where I knew tint was a must! With some places, they promote the computer cut technology, and what I learned is that those leave gaps on the window outline. When I first met Kwang, it was maybe 10 years ago. He cuts by hand, and he definitely is good at his craft. At the time, I was only into the 3M tint films, and he had reasonable pricing. Flash forward a couple years, and my wife got a brand new 2015 Genesis sedan. Kwang was the first person that came to mind, so when I stopped by his shop he suggested about trying a new film he's exploring - Rayno. This was the first time I went with a different brand film, but the product was based on the latest technology - nano carbon ceramic. Overall, I was completely satisfied with his recommendation and to this day he's been installing Rayno S9 on all my vehicles. What's sad is that even though I'm having him install the best (on all windows - including the windshield), I typically keep my vehicles between 3-18 months before trading/selling - then buying a new one. But there's no one I trust more than Kwang. I've recommended him to friends, family and work colleagues. His pricing is very reasonable and he's also very knowledgeable with almost every vehicle. read more

I've had 3 cars done here over the years, starting back when they were still on Via Fabricante. Had my Avalon done in 2008 and the tint still looks as good as it did the day he did it. Recently took in my Mini Cooper Clubman for tinting. Called him for a rough estimate, and made an appointment for a Saturday morning at 8. When I came in he'd remembered me from the last time I was in. It took him about 3 hours to get the Clubman done and again, the quality is spot on, no blemishes or bubbles. Looks great. He takes care to tape over your window controls so you don't accidentally lower it before it's dry. As others have said it's a mom & pop shop, but they are friendly and obviously take pride in their work. There are a couple of chairs to wait in and free waters or soda, but I'd recommend dropping the car or planning on walking to Panera or Buffalo Wild Wings for a few hours. read more

I had my TESLA model Y 2022 windows and windshield tinted by Kwang. He did an EXCELLENT job and I am very pleased with his work. He did three other cars of mine in past and I always go to him for any window tinting. He gave me a very fair price and at the end when I was going to pay for his service, he gave an extra discount that I did not ask for it. He also gave me "glass cleaner spray" for my car which I did not ask for it either. He was so kind and professional by cleaning inside and outside of my car which was not part of his work. He is very fair and generous and his work is way above my expectations. read more

I been coming here for over 10 years. Normally I have no complaints. This time I felt I was over charged , plus we had some trim after market on the back 2 doors that he removed saying they came off when they were cleaning these were about 12 inches below the window and about 12 inches long. There is no way they just fell off. He handed them to me at the counter. I will never recommend this guy again there are to many other shops out there that do a good job . 400 bucks for a Honda Civic just to much in my opinion plus he damaged the car. He was down maybe 8 cars for me plus referrals . Don't waste your time with this guy read more

First car tinted! I thought it was all about privacy... and found out that heat reduction is king. Took out my spreadsheet, YELP'ed a bunch of sources, and found a price range for the ceramic level 1 that seems a good compromise. By coincidence, I passed by Irvine Auto Center Window Tinting due to their proximity of my preferred auto garage. I called, the owner answered, and got a great quote. His single-handedness of quality of work, flexibility of schedule, and tenure- got me to put my SUV in his shop. That was yesterday- and now I'm here to give him a 5-star review. Looks GREAT. Totally professional- and has a lifetime guaranty (original owner only). Highly recommend. read more

Got my Mazda CX5 tinted here last year in March. Back again because my windshield cracked and needed another tint. Kwang is great so I keep coming back! I actually just brought my Moms car to get tinted the same week because he is thorough. He is professional and the tint job is amazing. I'll be back when I purchase a new car. You'll have a smooth experience here, from making the appointment to picking up your vehicle. You won't regret it! Thanks Kwang! read more

I took my one month old Tesla Model 3 here to install 3M Pro Paint Protection Film (PPF) on the rear portion of the car. The front portion PPF was previously installed by another shop. The rear portion includes the 4 doors, pillars, rear quarter panels, rocker panels, trunk, and rear bumper. Kwang (the owner) did an excellent job on the PPF installation. It's flawless and makes my car look so much better with additional paint protection on it. Also his price is very competitive. read more

I've been using Irvine auto center window tinting for over 10 years now. They have so many different choices of window tint film to choose from. What's more is the precision they use when tinting. It's like no other shop I've ever been too. I always choose nano ceramic tint and it makes any car look excellent. It really bothers me to drive around all day and get sunburnt because of it. That problem is no more. Thank you for everything! read more

8/20 Update: I had the tint installed today. I am very very happy. The owner knew exactly what he was doing. I arrived at 8am and waited... Three hours later and it looks PERFECT. He said volkswagens are tough to do but he made it look easy. I went with 35% Viper tint on sides as front because I hate mismatch and 15% on the back. This ceramic tint will keep the car cool and looks great. Not too dark. I found this to be the best place I have ever tinted my car at. The husband and wife team is professional, thorough and REASONABLE. Please tell all your friends that THIS IS THE PLACE TO COME. See the photos I am uploading. ---------- 8/3 Stopped in for a quote today. Owner was very nice. I was impressed by his knowledge about my specific vehicle and the spots that are tricky to do. He had the ceramic tint I wanted and I liked the price too. Significantly less than other quotes I got for my VW Passat. I have an appointment for 2 weeks from now (my choice). I will update my review with results. read more

Which I could give this business and its manager ten stars. When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly man who was the owner . He went through all the details of the different tinting packages and the key pros/cons. He quoted me three hour wait time and literally finished exactly on the three hour mark. I love that the price that is displayed is the actual price so when you pay they don't add any xtra fees or tax. He reminded me to wait here days before the windows can be put down . He told me if anything happens to come back and he would fix it no cost . The windows were beautiful and they vacuumed out my car leaving it spotless inside even under the mats !
