This is the 6th car that I brought to Jae for tint and I've been very satisfied with their work. I was set on getting the middle tier 3M tint, but Jae had mentioned that the lower tier would actually be closer color-wise to the factory tint that was already on the rear windows. He explained that the middle tier and the crystalline will be of higher quality. He ultimately left it up to me but I really appreciated his honesty when most other places would just try to sell you their most expensive product. I will definitely continue to bring all future cars to Jae.

I came here when I first got my car in 2021 and Jae did a great job tinting my car. I came back today to get my driver's side window redone from a scratch (my fault), and he made sure the tint he used to replace was a match since the old tint I had was discontinued. I highly recommend this place if you are considering to tint your car windows. I have been looking around for some time to find a right place (reasonable price and the quality of the tint) and i found this place and submitted a request for a quote for my car. Jae, responded very promptly and when i called him, he booked me an appointment on the day of my preference. When i went in with my husband, he explained to us in detail of the different options available for 3m brand. He was very honest and did not oversell products like other businesses would. I've been coming to this place ever since I moved to Irvine and every time I purchase a new car this is my first stop. So far, I tinted 3 cars and this time I had my VW ID4 tinted, which was really nicely done as always. I always choose the 3M Crystalline for its quality and performance and it's worth every penny. Jay also cleaned up my dash cam setup and hid the cables really well. No doubt I will come back for the next years to come. read more

THEY ARE AMAZING!! Jae first did my tint when I had my Lexus IS 300 and I went back to him for my Lexus UX last week. The staff is super nice and helpful and really helped me when I was having trouble picking out what tint color I wanted the first time. I got my 2023 Tesla Model X tinted with the best tint, 3m Crystalline. I've had a bad experience with an installer on my 2020 MX. Comparing both tint shops when it comes to the workmanship and tint quality, Specialized Auto Tint is on another level. My 2020 was done with Huper Optik and the 2023 with Crystalline, it's night and day difference. The clarity on 3m is amazing. Definitely worth the extra cost in my honest opinion. Just had my second car done by Jae and they are both great. He tells you exactly what you will get and what your options are for how much, very straightforward with lower pricing than some big shops. Jae's schedule is usually full for a few days so just be a bit patient with him and make an appointment. Also, just want to mention that Jae is the type of guy that if you are rude to him, he will be rude to you back lol. Obviously, if you are nice to him he is nice to you so just be nice and you will be happy with the results. read more

Couldn't get a clear answer on what types of films they offered and in what %. Still don't know if what I chose is actually what is on my car, seemed very shady to be honest and do not speak English well. Did not get receipt and part of my interior rubber window guide was melted and damaged. I would definitely not go back or recommend this place. I went because it was close and seemed people had good experiences, not the case for me so beware. read more

This review is way overdue...I had my car done here back in 2017. I got the 3M Color Stable 20% all around except the front windshield. Jae was very nice and professional, responded to my request for a quote very quickly, and explained in more detail once I got there. I took a walk over to the shopping center, did some shopping at Whole Foods, grabbed a bite and then a fro yo, and it was time for me to pick up my car. I was extremely happy with the work, and my car was returned to me super clean. I should've gotten the limo; 3M 20% was too light for my liking during the day. A couple weeks later, I started to hear a squeak by my rear windshield, and since Specialized Auto Tint were the last to touch that area, I called and explained the situation. Jae asked me to bring in my car, and he checked my whole car and made sure all my panels were on correctly. He even had his partner ride with me to try and figure out what the noise was. His partner predicted correctly that it was a loose weld, and had nothing to do with the tint or tinting process. They both went above and beyond in helping me figure out the problem even though it had nothing to do with the tint. Highly recommend! read more

From the start, the initial call was helpful, and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The manager was great--he was patient, informative, and really took the time to walk me through the options. I opted for the higher-end Stratos series, with 70% tint on the windshield and sunroof, and 30% on the sides. I went with the 30% on the sides for a good balance between looks and function, though in hindsight, I might have gone with a 40% or 50% just to reduce the chance of being pulled over. But that's a subjective decision, and I can still see fine at night with the 30%, so it works. After having the Stratos for a while, I'll admit that I didn't notice as much of a difference as I expected between it and a high-quality ceramic film. If I were to do it again, I'd probably consider going with their regular ceramic for the side windows and keep the Stratos on the windshield and sunroof, where it does feel like a noticeable upgrade in terms of heat rejection and clarity. There were some small air bubbles in the tint, particularly on the sunroof, but I gave it a little time. When they didn't go away, I gave the shop a call. They were really accommodating, and the manager had no hesitation in bringing me in to replace the sunroof tint. I appreciate how they handled this--it's hard to get tint perfect every time (unless you're working in a clean room), but they were eager to make sure I was satisfied, which goes a long way in my book. One minor hiccup was that the price I was quoted online was a bit different than what I was told in the shop. The website has some helpful details, but it showed a car sunroof (rather than a small SUV), which resulted in a higher price. Not a huge deal, and I understand that things can get mixed up, especially with a newer website. When I brought it up in-store, they gave me an upfront quote that was just a little higher than expected (maybe around $70 more), but they were clear about it, and they also offer a nice military veteran discount. I didn't push them to honor the online price because I felt the situation was understandable and fair. Another nice touch was that they use professional software for invoicing, which I didn't see at another shop I've worked with in the past. It adds a level of professionalism that I really appreciated. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, with a waiting area and a restroom. I liked that they had a display showing all their tint options, plus a helpful booklet with examples, so I could see how different tints would look in my car before making a final choice. When I came back for the replacement tint, I was told it would take about an hour. However, I didn't hear anything for a few hours, so I called and was informed that the job was actually done and ready. A small communication hiccup, but no big deal--just something to keep in mind. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect 5-star (4.75 out of 5, though I did round up) review is the small price discrepancy, the initial bubble issue, and the slight difference I noticed with the Stratos compared to ceramic, but considering how quickly they addressed everything and how great the overall experience was, I'm still very satisfied. They truly care about customer service, and I'd definitely recommend Tint Plus if you're looking for a quality tint job with fair pricing, professional service, and great attention to detail.

First off, I'd like to thank Jae, the owner, for his professionalism and honesty. I have 2010 Mercedes eclass 4-ddor sedan and got a quote from him a month ago, $350 with 3M all 5 windows except the front wind shield. 4 weeks after, I called him to make an appointment for the job and reminded him of the quote, $350 He immediately said the quote cannot be $350. He said he must have said $300 to me because $350 is not the figure that he ever quoted to any customers for my type of vehicle. I was sold, I didn't even hesitate to bring my car in his shop right away. He could have easily pocked extra $50 by jut saying yes. Of course, as I expected, the job quality was phenomenal, down to finest detail. He kindly explained everything about tinting, and procedures. My wife was very happy with the result as well. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for auto tinting. Just got a new Merc E350 and wanted some shades on the windows. Jae was pretty corteous and knowledgable at the first impression. However, what was the most important to me was not the pricing, but honesty & professionalism. He was a bit more expensive than my the other estimates, but I knew Jae was the guy who could do the best job. I chose the most expensive 3M product (he wasn't pushy at all, just very informative) and he showed me every step of the way by starting opening a sealed box of the brand new 3M tint films, proving that he is not using any left over from the previous jobs nor bait & switch, which I didn't even thought about asking for it. UPDATE: 5/5/2024 Jae already did an excellent job with CR40 but I realized I preferred to get a darker tint for more privacy, safety, protection from heat and UV, and a sportier look. Went with CR20 all round, CR70 front windshield, and standard 3M 5% for the sunroof. Jae understood my preferences and shared his ideas and recommendations before we decided, all at a fair price. You pay for quality, not quantity. Now the car looks even better to me and as always Jae and his partner did an excellent job as usual, this is my 3rd car I brought to Specialized Auto Tint. Jae is the bomb.he is super friendly ,and more important , very very good at what he does . his prices are fair .i have had cheap tint in the past and it never lasts .
