From the start, the initial call was helpful, and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. The manager was great--he was patient, informative, and really took the time to walk me through the options. I opted for the higher-end Stratos series, with 70% tint on the windshield and sunroof, and 30% on the sides. I went with the 30% on the sides for a good balance between looks and function, though in hindsight, I might have gone with a 40% or 50% just to reduce the chance of being pulled over. But that's a subjective decision, and I can still see fine at night with the 30%, so it works. After having the Stratos for a while, I'll admit that I didn't notice as much of a difference as I expected between it and a high-quality ceramic film. If I were to do it again, I'd probably consider going with their regular ceramic for the side windows and keep the Stratos on the windshield and sunroof, where it does feel like a noticeable upgrade in terms of heat rejection and clarity. There were some small air bubbles in the tint, particularly on the sunroof, but I gave it a little time. When they didn't go away, I gave the shop a call. They were really accommodating, and the manager had no hesitation in bringing me in to replace the sunroof tint. I appreciate how they handled this--it's hard to get tint perfect every time (unless you're working in a clean room), but they were eager to make sure I was satisfied, which goes a long way in my book. One minor hiccup was that the price I was quoted online was a bit different than what I was told in the shop. The website has some helpful details, but it showed a car sunroof (rather than a small SUV), which resulted in a higher price. Not a huge deal, and I understand that things can get mixed up, especially with a newer website. When I brought it up in-store, they gave me an upfront quote that was just a little higher than expected (maybe around $70 more), but they were clear about it, and they also offer a nice military veteran discount. I didn't push them to honor the online price because I felt the situation was understandable and fair. Another nice touch was that they use professional software for invoicing, which I didn't see at another shop I've worked with in the past. It adds a level of professionalism that I really appreciated. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, with a waiting area and a restroom. I liked that they had a display showing all their tint options, plus a helpful booklet with examples, so I could see how different tints would look in my car before making a final choice. When I came back for the replacement tint, I was told it would take about an hour. However, I didn't hear anything for a few hours, so I called and was informed that the job was actually done and ready. A small communication hiccup, but no big deal--just something to keep in mind. The only reason I'm not giving a perfect 5-star (4.75 out of 5, though I did round up) review is the small price discrepancy, the initial bubble issue, and the slight difference I noticed with the Stratos compared to ceramic, but considering how quickly they addressed everything and how great the overall experience was, I'm still very satisfied. My advice to anyone coming here: get your quote in writing and make sure it explicitly states the exact type of tint (e.g., nano-ceramic). You can easily find top-tier ceramic tint elsewhere for the price they charge for their mid-tier film. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 solely because of the two brothers working in the garage. I opted for the base option for $12 It got the job done and I will say the drive through did a pretty decent job of removing the dirt from my car. They offer vacuums and air hoses for post car wash, and there are plenty of spots to pull into. The only downside to my visit was this is the longest I've ever waited to go through a car wash. There was 1 car ahead of me in line when I pulled up and it took nearly 10 minutes. On the plus side, I guess it's a good sign that they do a really good job of spacing out the cars through the tunnel (I've seen my share of cars collide in a drive through wash due to being too close) Solid drive through car wash, a little pricier than others that you can find (basic for $10) but very conveniently located to several corporate offices in Irvine!

My car is worth the extra love and attention. I have a hard time trusting others or the drive thru car washes, so I like to wash my car personally. These wash bays have the following features: pre-soak, wheel & tire cleaner, high pressure soap, foam brush, high pressure rinse, wax, spot-free rinse, air dry, and stop. A lot of these came out of the same nozzles compared to other places that have separate nozzles per function. I was also annoyed of maneuvering the way it was hung to the ceiling to get around the bay. There are also vacuums upon exiting but I was in a rush so I didn't try it out. It's good to know the option is there.

First off, I'd like to thank Jae, the owner, for his professionalism and honesty. I have 2010 Mercedes eclass 4-ddor sedan and got a quote from him a month ago, $350 with 3M all 5 windows except the front wind shield. 4 weeks after, I called him to make an appointment for the job and reminded him of the quote, $350 He immediately said the quote cannot be $350. He said he must have said $300 to me because $350 is not the figure that he ever quoted to any customers for my type of vehicle. I was sold, I didn't even hesitate to bring my car in his shop right away. He could have easily pocked extra $50 by jut saying yes. Of course, as I expected, the job quality was phenomenal, down to finest detail. He kindly explained everything about tinting, and procedures. My wife was very happy with the result as well. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for auto tinting. And to all yelpers, you know there are not many people in this world who could be as honest as Jae at that moment, especially when it comes to sales business. Just got a new Merc E350 and wanted some shades on the windows. Jae was pretty corteous and knowledgable at the first impression. However, what was the most important to me was not the pricing, but honesty & professionalism. He was a bit more expensive than my the other estimates, but I knew Jae was the guy who could do the best job. I chose the most expensive 3M product (he wasn't pushy at all, just very informative) and he showed me every step of the way by starting opening a sealed box of the brand new 3M tint films, proving that he is not using any left over from the previous jobs nor bait & switch, which I didn't even thought about asking for it. UPDATE: 5/5/2024 Jae already did an excellent job with CR40 but I realized I preferred to get a darker tint for more privacy, safety, protection from heat and UV, and a sportier look. Went with CR20 all round, CR70 front windshield, and standard 3M 5% for the sunroof. Jae understood my preferences and shared his ideas and recommendations before we decided, all at a fair price. You pay for quality, not quantity. Now the car looks even better to me and as always Jae and his partner did an excellent job as usual, this is my 3rd car I brought to Specialized Auto Tint. Drove the car around in 96 degree weather in Palm Springs, 3M tint performed, definitely top shelf quality! This was my experience. Check out new photos and see for yourself. read more

The car ended up getting totaled due to a front end accident and so I bought another one 2004 this time Little older less computer stuff to go haywire and they said they couldn't do it so I thought that was interesting but anyway, no harm no foul. I had a very unfortunate event that happened while getting my car serviced here, but I will say…read morethat in the end this business did do the right thing, but it was a little bit of a challenge getting them to reconcile. I'll save you guys some time and will give you the cliff notes of what happened. I brought in my brand new Porsche to get the front two windows tinted to match the factory tint on the other windows. I spoke to Sam and everything was all fine. My windows got tinted. It was a rainy day so I took the keys went home, my husband inspected the tint and unfortunately there was damage to the pillars of my car windows because the technician used a torch gun and it melted the side panels. We immediately went back up to the store, explained to Sam what happened Sam immediately took accountability and responsibility for getting this resolved on the next business day. Sam offered to get our car fixed at a non-Porsche repair shop, which did not sit well with us, considering our car was brand new fresh off the lot and we didn't feel comfortable taking the car to a place that was not Porsche certified. They were recommending this option because of the labor price difference and I assume they wanted to try to cut cost for the repair. We shared that that was not acceptable and Sam did arrange for my car to get repaired at Porsche and worked with my service advisor to coordinate the drop off and repair of my vehicle. The whole ordeal took about two weeks, but my car did get fixed to our standards and Sam always led with wanting to do the right thing and I'm glad that we were able to get this resolved. So if you do decide to get your windows tinted here, please be sure to do a thorough inspection and I hope that my unfortunate experience will help prevent any future damage to anyone else's car. I'm still leaving four stars because the tint itself does look fine and Sam was fair to work with.
