Breakfast available on weekends... plenty of options, affordable, friendly staff, breakfast cocktails or non alcohol drinks something for everyone. As for my order: Bloody Mary with a breakfast shot, bacon & cheese omelet with country potatoes, sourdough toast and side of hollandaise sauce (for the omelette). Our table also had pancakes, biscuits & gravy, Eggs Benedict, and chicken fried steak which were all hailed as terrific and hit just the right spot. Highly recommend considering them as a weekend stop.

This place is tucked and kind of a hidden gem We had a dinner for a birthday party There was only a couple of tables occupied I had the sirloin steak and surprisingly it was good to perfection, the server was attentive and helpful

Santa Fe Chicken Salad.

Santa Fe chicken salad was yummy, only draw back was I will order the dressing on the side. There was a little to much, on the salad. I can wait to try this place in person.

Their version of a grilled cheese and tomato soup. More like a paste.

We stopped in here one night, because it was the only thing open past 10 pm on a Thursday night. This is a great speakeasy that has some good libations, but the food part was sub par, well one part of it was. I say sub par because their version of tomato soup was more of a paste. Soup shouldn't be so dense where you can't penetrate it with a grilled cheese sandwich. My grilled cheese with bacon was pretty good I must say. The right amounts of cheese, nice cuts of bacon that complimented each other with that a good foundation as in bread holding it in place. In all we did enjoy our time in here. The decor has that prohibition look to it, showing you how it was back in the 1930's. I'm sure they didn't have karaoke back then, but these guys had a full crowd of on goers doing their thing. I will say this some were pretty damn good, while a majority of them should save their singing talents for their morning shower. Bless their hearts though. In all I did like my visit here. If I am ever back in this area I will enjoy a cocktail, or 2 , shoot I might even give their menu another go at it. Solid 3 as of now.

The food here is great and service was wonderful, but wow 1933 it's 2019 and I was blown away by the dress code at the front door. Umm, no wave caps, baggy pants, facial tattoos and no gang colors... lol. There was a guy in a group wearing all Dodger blue, hello those are gang colors and are you really up to date on gangs? Oh I will eat here again because I don't dress like that. What's next separate drinking fountains. Anyway the Sunday brunch was very good, lots of food options and the unlimited mimosas, yum! Everything you want for breakfast they, prime rib also great! See ya next time

saw the copper mug from across the room, and got these. do. not. order. a. mule. here.

1933. The only thing that resembles this would be the limes. NEVER serve fruit or vegetables that are old. These are 2 of the worst mules my wife and I have ever tasted. This is our first time here, walked in sat at our table and the hostess told us twice they didn't serve liquor, just beer and wine. As we were about to leave i looked across the room and saw liquor. Might come back, in 2033...

This is my first time here , we were seated immediately and given our drinks within minutes . I love the decor and the atmosphere of this place , it was very relaxing. We ordered the Top Sirloin with a salad and mashed potatoes, the salad was AMAZING . The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly , I ate all of it ! Why have I not stopped in here before?!?!! This place definitely deserves more than 5 stars , food top both here and our server was awesome I can't wait to come back!!

This was 10 Dollars. You realize a bag of potatoes is 4 bucks? The fuck??????
Keyanna B.

I cant believe this shit. Potato skins were 10 bucks and I only got 4 pieces. Horribly cooked & bout 4 specs of bacon on 2 of them. I'm so disappointed and honestly I feel disrespected! Smh do better!

Half size order of nachos and fried green beans.

This is definitely a hidden gem. Wasn't a big crowd, great food, and pretty good drinks. I'd definitely come here again.

Nobody plans to spend an evening in Bakersfield. You pass through it on the way to somewhere else…read more-- Mammoth, the Sequoias, the long flat grind up the 99 to Sacramento -- and if you stop at all, it's for gas or a bathroom or because your BMW's brakes have decided, somewhere around the Grapevine, that they'd rather not. Thank you, Weatherford BMW of Berkeley, for the near-death experience and, inadvertently, for one of the best nights out I've had in years. Stranded and waiting on repairs, we checked into The Padre, the only hotel in Bakersfield that feels like someone with a subscription to Dwell had a hand in it, and set out walking through a downtown that time has treated with more kindness than reputation suggests. There's a Woolworth's luncheonette still hanging on. There are old brick facades and wide sidewalks and the particular quiet of a Central Valley evening when the heat finally breaks. And then, on 18th Street, there is Tiki-Ko, and suddenly you are no longer in Bakersfield at all. You are, instead, inside someone's magnificent obsession. Tiki-Ko is a proper tiki bar -- not a tiki-themed cocktail lounge, not a place that bought some bamboo at a craft store and called it atmosphere, but a genuine, committed, floor-to-ceiling shrine to mid-century Polynesian fantasy. The carvings are real. The lighting is correct -- which is to say, barely there. The mugs are serious. There are pufferfish lamps and carved totems and the whole glorious taxonomy of tiki ephemera, accented here and there with a skate-culture edge that keeps it from feeling like a museum. It's reverent without being precious. The drinks are the real thing. Mai Tais built with actual orgeat. Zombies that earn the name. The bartenders make them with the kind of care and enthusiasm that tells you this isn't a gig -- it's a calling. They want you to be here. They want to talk about rum. They want you to try the Painkiller. In a city that most Angelenos regard as a punch line, somebody built a world-class cocktail bar and filled it with joy, and the regulars clearly know it. You will not plan a trip to Bakersfield. But if you find yourself there -- by mechanical failure, by accident, by the peculiar mercy of a bad brake job -- walk downtown. Find the tiki bar. Order a second round. Stay longer than you intended. Bakersfield has been underestimated, and Tiki-Ko is the proof.

It was a fun evening in a laid back environment, the bartenders were nice and the lady clearing tables was pleasant. The only thing I, personally, didn't enjoy was the weird ambient soundscapes. A little music would have been nice, rather than the creaking ship noises and ghostly wailing.

Had no idea this place has been open for four years, and I'd never tried it…read more Went on a Thursday night, we ended up being the only ones there. I understand weekends has live music. It's rustic and clean, it's very clean. There's a very large side room for events etc. the main bar area is small with some nice chairs to sit in and the large tv was set to a fireplace. The floors are covered in various beef/farm brands, adds to the rustic western vibe. Bartender was friendly and attentive. She kept busy cleaning and dusting bottles- like I said- it's clean. Drinks for a "speakeasy" were not special. Very typical bar drinks- no special menu etc. I visit a lot of speakeasy's- this is, speakeasy-ish. Our two drinks & a club soda were nearly $40. They were made well. Unfortunately, they didn't have the ingredients to make the drink I had asked for. Overall, I'd like to see this place on a weekend night with music. The drinks were over priced for what they were- IMO. That said, I'll likely return, at least once. Still bummed KC doesn't have a nice speakeasy.

We love coming here just to see her. This is a great spot for a quiet date night. It can get pretty pricey, but half of what you pay for is the location and the service, which is second to none. This is a great spot to host a private party as well and does require a password to get in. A great way to ensure your party stays private!
