Service requested hem of two pair of pants. Horrible job. The alteration person should be ashamed. The hem is uneven. The hem lines are not straight and the material is gathered same on both legs on both pairs. If you don't know what your doing but do it anyway and change top dollar for the work; DONT DO IT. This review is long overdue. I regularly travel to the Tampa area for work and as such need suits dry cleaned as well as shirts pressed. I always brought them to Spartan cleaners as they are close to where I stay at and they have never disappointed me. The staff is friendly and always happy to answer any questions I have. The reason the review is happening now is because they came through for me big time this last trip. I had damaged one of my suits in a Thanksgiving accident invovling a flying turkey (long story) but I ended up ripping the pants on my suit as well as getting the jacket absouletly covered in sauce. I had a meeting on Saturday that was important to me and Spartan Cleaners were able to not only repair the suit in time but get it cleaned up for me. Really ??? When you drop off your cleaning at the Spartan cleaners they give you a receipt with no money amount to be charged for the cleaning just the number of items dropped off. And to top it up a waver to sign that if they damage your cleaning they take no responsibility, so therefore they can charge anything they want and surprise you with the bill, and if they do a lousy job and damage your expensive items tough luck, you signed a waver. Fist time my husband took our cleaning there, they way of operating business is shocking and am very surprised they are still in the business.Never again we give them business again. read more

If I could I would give them no stars. Just poor customer service. The company should invest in their employees and get them some training on how to communicate with their clientele. Unfortunately this place destroyed a $300 comforter and didn't want to take responsibility. I understand that accidents happen, if this was handled differently I might have responded differently but when I called to talk to someone they told me there was nothing to be done because it's a comforter and I should expect that to happen. When asked about a manager the response was argumentative, telling me that I would get the same response. I asked how it was cleaned and the employee said it was washed and put in the dryer, exactly how I asked it not to be done. Not only will I not return, but definitely will not recommend. read more

When I dropped a large order off on the Friday morning before Labor Day weekend I was told it couldn't be ready on Tuesday,. Probably because they have a huge sign saying next day service. Long weekend I said fair enough. She said it would be ready Wednesday by 5 pm. I reiterated that we needed it back by then so I could pack my husband for a trip and he needed the clothes for the trip. We went to pick them up at 5:30 pm on Wednesday and only half the order was ready. The women wouldn't tell my husband when it would be completed. So I went in and she said she already talked to my husband. I said you didn't tell him when the rest would be ready. I explicitly asked when I dropped them off if they would be done by the time she quoted. Then she started going on about the hurricane. Lady, that was two weeks ago, and had nothing to do with this. She was so rude, I haven't been this mad in any time I can remember. She refused to say when the clothes would be ready. She walked away and refused to tell me anything. Then another customer came in and she started to help them. I got upset because she had lied outright to me, ignored my question and then had the audacity to ask the customer to witness my interaction. Yes I was mad but in no way threatening her. I just wanted to know when I was getting my husbands shirts back. This is the RUDEST manager or owner I e ever seen in a store of any kind. I rarely give ratings like this. However I'm very upset that this cleaners lost 5 of my shirts. I'm new to Florida from Colorado Springs and just arrived. The lady Linda who is very rude to me and sarcastic put my shirts with some other persons clothing and the manager Monica tells me that I have to wait for 30 days now I've had to go out and purchase all new shirts for work and was told I need to wait until July before I can get an answer. We had my husbands Elvis outfit taken to this cleaner via the seamstress. It was taken there on a Monday with a guarantee it would be ready for his show to be pick up on a Friday and his show on Saturday. When we went to pick up the jumpsuit mind you its a $3500 jumpsuit. We went to pick it up on Friday and it hadnt even been cleaned and then the Couldnt find it, we took 20 minutes of our time to look throughout the Palm Harbor location. Well we found jt in a dirty laundry bin and looked as if someone used it for a tablecloth. And of course no return phone call from the manager/owner and no one wanting to be responsible. I will never use this dry cleaner again. They have always been more expensive than other dry cleaners who do comparable work yet I'd use them because they were close to home. Months ago I had a great experience with a seamstress who did beautiful work. I recently took an item there for a simple alteration and it was horribly done by a seamstress who has replaced the former one. I will need to have the alteration redone at another place as a result. I do not recommend this dry cleaner for anything but dry cleaning at this point. They need to find a seamstress who is talented with their crafT. read more

This is the best place lace for dry cleaning ever. The people are so sweet and helpful. The quality of their service is perfection.

First I brought in 14 shirts with a coupon to get them done at $1.65 per shirt. I did not realize that I needed to bring in $10.00 worth of dry cleaning to get the deal and no one there pointed that out when I brought in my shirts. I showed up thinking my bill was going to be around $23.00 and to my surprise it was $35.00. When I questioned she pointed out that I needed dry cleaning as well. Something that would have been good to tell me when I dropped them off. Now to the actual quality of their work. I have been wearing the shirts for a week or so and noticing creases in places where there should be no creases. I took a shirt out last night for today and it was a complete joke. The back of one of the sleeves looks like it was rolled in a ball and was pressed right over it. I swear it looks like I took it right out of the dirty laundry and decided to wear it again. I am afraid to open the rest of my shirts to see what the rest look like. Needless to say, I wont be going back here. read more

Second chance for this place, and they really stepped up their service. Had bulk items that came back super clean, as well as designer jeans and polo shirts. Only four stars because some things still came back stretched out. Maybe it's the sleeve iron press they use, but some clothes come back a little stretched out. read more

We were desperate!! We were painting our ceiling and though we had covered our furniture with drop cloths, the unintentional happened. A paint cup dropped from the top of the ladder splashing everywhere- including under the drop cloth onto our denim couch cover. We immediately tried to get the paint out following instructions found online. No luck. We called Spartan's. Their spot specialist had gone home for the day but the sweet woman who answered called him at home. He told us to soak the spot in cold water overnight and bring it in early the next morning. He worked on it several days - not guaranteeing he could work a miracle for us. But he did.! Every speck of paint is gone. It looks fantastic. The folks at Spartan really cared about us and our "emergency " and we are very appreciative of them!! And then to top it off our invoice was so affordable. We will always bring our business there.
