The place looks like a bomb went off and/or it hasn't been updated since at least the late 70's. I honestly felt like I was bugging him. Turned out, they don't clean vomit (don't ask) off of dress coats. I actually couldn't find anyone who does. I tried, but we just had to throw it away. Very affordable, and easy to pick up & drop off in a timely manner. Admittedly it was a bit hard to pick up initially but that was simple because of Covid, and once that had passed & the store was reopened, it was so easy! I dropped off a semi-formal dress with a drink stain & a two piece suit covered in long golden retriever fur, and it was less than $40 total, so we found that reasonable given the extra dirt/wear. Pick-up after 5 wasn't possible with my work schedule, but my boyfriend had no issue picking up our items; he just showed them the picture of the ticket I texted him after giving them our name & it was an easy in and out for him. read more

First time and this is now our go-to weekly dry cleaner. He got stains out of a silk shirt that two other cleaners could not. The presentation on the hangar of the cleaned items is lovely. The sleeves of a coat were "stuffed" with filling to keep the shape of the coat. Excellent work! read more

Very convenient to get to and even though the parking lot is small, how long do you need to pick up your dry cleaning? The owner is a really nice guy and the two dogs that reside there are so cute. Saved the shirt. So the hubs decided to over swirl his wine and.... well you know the rest. I tried and tried to get it out but it would not budge. So, off I go to the cleaners. Never having used one in this area I opted for a local lovely. I walked up to the building and there is the owner's dog laying in the doorway and she was NOT budging. Super sweet little gal. I am greeted immediately and I said "I am not sure if you can even help me" and explained the situation. He did not seem worried at all. Come back Monday he said. So Monday I forgot to stop by and went in Tuesday. Thankfully I waited the day because the shirt was on the press as I walked in the door. I walked around the dog laying in the doorway, asleep, and $6 later I was out the door with what looked to be a brand new shirt. Thank you DDC. He's an extremely affable fellow that offers exceptional quality and service for a fair price. The year-over-year "best of the bay" plaques that greet one upon arrival tell the story. I lived in the area years ago, and took my dry cleaning exclusively to Ken, and was always 100% satisfied. Moreover, whenever I now return, I still take every possible opportunity to have him take care of my garments - even if it's a rush. Not impressed at all. Clothes were clean, I'll give them that. But nothing more than the average I'd expect from a reasonably good dry cleaner. One of my trouser buttons was gone when I got it back, which means I'll have to find where I stuck the spare and fix it. And they didn't tell me it was gone or anything, I had to find that myself when I went to put it on. Some of the creasing on my work trousers didn't line up with the old creasing, causing the weird looking double creasing. They also switched out my nicer plastic hangers I brought the clothes in on for cheap, metal wire hangers. And the plastic, lets not forget the shear amount of plastic and tissue paper everything came back wrapped in. I'd have been more impressed if they'd spent the same amount of time looking over the clothes for loose threads or, you know, missing buttons instead of swaddling it all in tons of packaging I have to throw away. Honestly, I normally don't leave reviews but there are so many dry cleaners around that making multiple mistakes is just ridiculous. I won't be going back, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else go either. read more

I had a silk Tommy Bahama Shirt that was badly stained. It sat on a shelf in my closet for two years since I had forgotten about it. I finally decided to drop it off at Kens Dry Cleaning in Downtown Dunedin. I never expected Ken the owner/operator to actually succeed since I had taken it to another cleaner two years earlier w/out much success. I went back to pick it up on the p/up date and Ken apologized and asked if I could wait more more day since he needed more time with it but had made great progress. He showed me the shirt and I was shocked at how good it looked, but there was still a small mark and he asked to keep in one more day. I picked it up the next day and was amazed. I mean the guy worked on it for 3-4 days. Talk about persistence and commitment He not only provided excellent service but he's a nice guy and a Veteran. I highly recommend going there if you need dry cleaning services. read more

The owner, Ken, was out of town when I dropped off my clothes. One of which was a very expensive cocktail gown that I borrowed from a friend for a cruise. She needed it for a wedding that she was attending the following weekend. When I went in to drop off the clothes a teenager took my items and handed me a ticket stating the clothes will be ready at 4pm on 10/10. When I went in, Ken was back from vacation. My clothes were no where to be found. He said that they were given to another customer. I asked what I was supposed to do about my friends dress and he said "the sooner I tell her the better". He asked me to give him 2 weeks to find the clothes and if he couldn't he would cut me a check. 2 weeks have passed, he is dragging his feet and is now saying I can take him to court. I will also be reporting him to the BBB. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE. read more

I just came back after picking up my shorts after having a waitress last Friday spill an entire glass of red wine on them. I tried a few things at home, but nothing was working. This place is awesome! I was in Florida a few weeks ago for my son's wedding and I needed to have table linens pressed (they were previously used for my daughter's wedding). I had called around to a few places about getting the linens pressed as I was traveling from Colorado and had a very short timeframe to get this done. Most other places either quoted me a super high price or flat out said "no". Not only did Ken give me what I considered a fair price, he completed the job in in a very short turnaround time and with an extremely great attitude! The table linens were pressed and hung neatly and he even helped me load them into my car. I have family in Dunedin so I try to travel there as often as I can and you can bet that if I have any dry cleaning needs while I am there, I will be stopping in to see Ken...I'll just try to give him more notice next time -:) If Ken treats local folks half as nice as he treated a stranger from out-of-town, they should consider themselves lucky!
