Ordered the spicy margarita pizza and the blackened chicken Cobb salad!!! Pizza was great but the Cobb salad was AMAZING!!! It was a hefty serving. We decided to try this place due to the Yelp reviews as well as being one of the only places in town we had not been to. First, perfect ambiance. The inside was gorgeous with very cool murals and a great vibe. The outdoor space (where we chose to sit) was nice also. Comfortable seating with a view of downtown. Next, we were met with the nicest staff from the hostess to our wonderful waitress Anna. She was helpful and honest and an absolute joy. We'd go again just to see her. Lastly, but possibly most importantly, the food was superb. Huge portions fairly priced with superb ingredients. I ordered the blackened chicken Cobb salad, which Anna warned me was a bit spicy and she was right, but mixed with the delicious dressing, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, egg, and avocado, the spice was perfect. My husband got the California burger and fries . It was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The fries were crispy and flavorful also. Overall, an excellent dinner and I highly recommend a visit here. I try and visit Shasta every year this year decided to stop and try out sparkys landing. 1st thought is that the staff is friendly especially our waitress she was fun and bubbly she made me smile every time she checked on our table. The restaurant it's self is very welcoming has tons of cool art everywhere. Kid pizzas and chicken strips was good the kids loved it. The salad was amazingly delicious definitely will order again. The Buffalo chicken pizza was on the saltier side, still tasty but too salty for me. with a side of ranch, It definitely helped out. read more

I'm SO disappointed! I got a to-go order of Artichoke dip breadsticks on my way south to Red Bluff, and I specifically asked for them to be LIGHTLY baked, as they were dark brown at our last visit a month ago. They were perfect a year ago as seen in my 1st review, but we were told the ownership changed. When I just called from home, and sent the manager photos of my BURNT breadsticks, the owner said "that's just the way they're made in our wood-fired pizza oven". Strange that the same "oven" used to cook them perfectly, but is now to blame. So the owner refused to reimburse me or even comp me my next order when I'm up in Mt Shasta again. This has always been my favorite restaurant in Mount Shasta but was a bit worried when I read it had changed hands. Still welcoming atmosphere inside with nice bar area. Very clean and outside patio is very nice. And thank goodness the spicy pork Ragu was still the same recipe. Husband had the pasta with olive oil and tomatoes. Ditto other 5-Star reviews for quality and service. We stumbled on this place on a Monday mid-afternoon, after looking for a craft coffee shop since Theory was closed. We originally were just looking for coffee while waiting for dinner hour. Then we thought the appetizers here looked good, and then the pizza looked very good. So we abandoned our dinner plans and had an early dinner at Sparky's. Very pleasantly surprised by the ingredients and flavors. We shared the Apple-Feta salad and the Goat pizza. Both excellent! Also good wine by the glass offerings; e.g., Charlotte's Home Sauvignon Blanc--nice pairing with our food choices. Big STAR for being open mid-afternoon. Second time visiting I had the spicy rigatoni my lunch companion had Fettuccini Alfredo. Both were great. The Alfredo was homemade and so creamy. The rigatoni was good and spicy. Favorite hidden gem! After a long day of driving to Oregon, came down here for a quick bite. Pizza and Pasta's were delicious, and the town is very charming. I just came back from a semester in Italy, and was pleasantly surprised that their Italian Pasta and Pizza had a similar consistency and flavor that I was not expecting in the middle of the woods. Very quick and kind service, and affordable for the quality of the food. Overall definitely reccomend stopping here! read more

Walked in got seated, then sat there for 20+ minutes waiting for any waitress to look in our direction, nothing!! We walked out shortly after a waitress started to help a table that had just came in next to us, what a shame the wait staff is oblivious and didn't care. Asked a waitress we were able to flag down and she had no help or answers, couldn't even tell us who our waitress was, nor did she even try to get our waitress attention to tell them we've been waiting.... horrible! read more

There were only 3 full tables when we went in for lunch. The waitress had only been there a few days and had trouble getting a rhythm down. Our water came late, one meal came 10 minutes before the other one and the timing of it all seemed off. I had a blackened chicken salad. The chicken consisted of hard tasteless cubes that resembled croutons. I was really hoping the new owners would have it dialed in. It's a beautiful restaurant and tastefully decorated. Maybe they'll get it together soon and turn it around. Pipeline next door is always packed. They should take some lessons from their staff. read more

We were originally going to a different restaurant but the wait was long so we moved on this one, it was Friday night so they had a wait as well. Ordered an appetizer first, the artichoke spread, a little strong on the sour cream but good. Both of our meals were well prepared and ample portions. Mine had a cheese sauce which had a nice taste although it was a little too much for my taste. My son ordered the chicken Parmesan, which he seemed to enjoy, which included spaghetti and a few very small pieces of bread. We arrived in Mount Shasta on a very hot day. We had to park far away because there was a community event happening in the area. We didn't mind because it gave us the opportunity to browse the event on the way to the restaurant. We were seated right away. It was cool and roomy inside. 4/5 - Complimentary Bread: Really good. Served with garlic butter. 3/5 - New York Strip: Pretty good. 3/5 - Scalloped Potatoes 2/5 - Filet Mignon: Overcooked and flavorless. Very disappointing. 1/5 - Mountain Mac and Cheese: I did not like the 3 cheese sauce. The food came out to 2.6 stars. Unfortunately, none of the food was exceptional. However, I will still round up to 3 stars because of the service and comfort. read more

12/28/2024 (3rd visit since ownership change) Since the ownership changed the quality of the food has gone down hill. The service is still ok; however staff seems overwhelmed. Ordered a pizza, apple feta salad and ceasar salad. Told pick up time 20 minutes. Pizza was cold; both salads had welted lettuce; as well as portion size decreased quite a bit.This could be due to the fact they have switched pick up and my husband went to the back as before then told to go back up front and by the time he made it through the reservation line up front to get rang up and get our food, pizza was cold. We are most likely taking this off our bi-monthly resturant list. Below is a picture of the ceasar salad did not get of the other salad and the pizza. Wow, I LOVE this place!! I came to town for a few days and ended up eating here two days in a row. I'm obsessed with wood fire pizza, which is how I found this place. I ordered a margherita pizza to go on the first night. KILLERRRR. It really hit the spot. The second night, I sat outside because the weather was so nice. I had been craving fettuccine alfredo for months but couldn't find a good spot close to home. I ordered that, which came with a side salad. The pasta was so freaking good!!! We love this place! We pass through Shasta about 4x a year en route from SoCal to Portland, and always eat dinner here (except once they were closed for remodeling). Jefe gets the chimichurri steak with a side salad (their house made Italian dressing is amazing!) & I vacillate between a big salad, Mac n cheese, Tuscan chicken, and pizza. It's a testament to how good their food is that I haven't been able to settle on a standby, trust me! The waitstaff is really sweet & their desserts are on point. Our " Go To" spot whenever in beautiful Mt. Shasta. Love the service, and the food never disappoints! The pesto pasta with chicken was perfect. It came with a ginormous side ( Caesar) salad, and tasty warm bread with a herbed butter. My wife enjoyed the shrimp scampi and we both had plenty for leftovers. I never order dessert ( usually too full) but I had to test out the carrot cake as it's one of my favs. Enjoyed every bite and enough for leftovers too. I've come to the conclusion that Mount Shasta is not a city that you come to eat good food LOL! Almost every place we tried the weekend we were there was just mediocre. We decided to give this place a try since the menu looked good. I ordered the apple and feta salad. It was just okay......HUGE mound of lettuce with a few pieces of apple and feta with some cranberries thrown on top. Dressing was so gross that I regretted even using it. I ate a few of the apples and cranberries but overall the salad was just meh. Kids both had the kids marinara pasta and they said it was okay. My husband ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Unfortunately his order came out without the chicken but the waitress was nice enough to not charge for that. The dish itself was lacking and no flavor. Just a clump of pasta with some white lumpy sauce on top. Service was nice and our waitress was great but as for the food.....definitely not that great. read more

We stopped in to this place as we were walking down the street to grab dinner- there isn't much open in the town after 5-6 pm. We were able to get a table quickly although on a Tuesday, during the summer they were pretty packed. We ordered some pastas and chicken parm. The pastas were good, the chicken parm- not so much. The chicken was pretty over cooked and dry. They have some cocktails that sound nice but they aren't as fancy as they sound on paper. They have a good kids menu with 5-6 things to choose from. Not very busy so we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and chatted with us a bit to help us decide what to order. We got a flatbread for starters and then the shrimp scampi, chicken Alfredo but added mushrooms, the broccoli and cheese soup as a side, and some sweet potato fries. So much food! The flatbread was great, it had spinach, mushrooms, and a balsamic glaze. Only complaint was they really left a large crust to it, not many toppings. The pastas were good, the Alfredo more so than the scampi. The scampi was good but we've had better. The Alfredo was perfect, especially with the mushroom addition. Soup was yummy and hot. The sweet potato fries were hot and fresh and delicious, just a bit too salty for our taste. They have a large liquor selection too. Ee loved the mountain decor and that the tables weren't crazy close together. We would come back when in town. read more
