We were driving through and found this place on yelp. We had a great prime rib sandwich. The service was friendly and professional.

Contrary to the first review, I did not leave feeling fed. The place looks cute enough, and it being right next to the college and all, I thought it had potential for decent food. We sat down, ordered, my noon alarm went off as the waitress walked away, and that was the last time we saw her. We slowly watched others get food, but not us. At 12:55 we called it quits. Told the expediter to cancel our order, which wasn't even turned in yet, and we left. But just before walking out the door, she told her trainee to get used to it. She had four tables walk out on her yesterday. read more

Traveling through with the Fam and picked this place based off the Yelp reviews. We had potato skins (Excellent), pulled pork sandwiches (good, but seemed a little plain and bland), hamburgers (good, but a little overlooked for my liking), sweet potato fries (very good), and regular fries (very good, lightly battered). This restaurant exceeded expectations, in food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommend. read more

Really enjoyed our stop here! BBQ pork, chicken, and brisket was delicious. Passing through on a trip and would stop again! Loved the atmosphere and had excellent service! What a gem! read more

Sparky's is friendly, the food is good and the atmosphere is good! Highly recommended!

Another recommendation for Dillon. This place was a zoo both times I visited for lunch. The staff seemed used to the chaos but also a bit frazzled. I sat up at the counter since I was eating solo and didnt want to wait for a table. So I had a front seat to the kitchen and waitress prep area. My first visit i order the Pulled pork sandwich. It was good but the service was slow. I sat for a long time just trying to get my waitresses attention to pay my bill. This was quite frustrating since I really didnt see my waitress much during my brief noon meal. I ordered, got my food, ate and waited and waited. She really never even checked on me. On my second visit I decided to order the soup and salad (I spotted it on my first visit and it looked really good and healthier than the pulled pork). Plus I figured it wouldnt take long since I saw they had the salads pre assembled in the cooler and the soup was dished up by the waitress. I chose the homemade tomatoe soup. The soup was great. Just like I used to get back home while I was growing up. Again service lacked a bit but it was better than the prior visit. Again they were really busy. But I was able to get my food and pay my bill and be on my way in no time. read more

My wife had the Belgian waffle which was good. Hard to mess that up. I had the biscuits and gravy which I didn't really like too much. Our waitress was a little slow, but it's a super small town so it's to be expected. It seems like a hangout for the locals since everyone seemed to know each other coming into the place. For us out-of-towners we could've found a better place for breakfast. read more

The BBQ was a surprise and was very good. The prices were a little on the high side. However service was good also.

Hands-down the best restaurant in Dillon, other than the taco truck. Excellent BBQ. Do it.

Sparky's came across as a solid breakfast eatery. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken fried steak (though the biscuits and gravy that came with made it a little too hardy). The trite in your face gas station decor seems to work in this one upon a time garage. There was a wonderful buzz in the air as the locals gathered for Sunday morning society and grub. Highly recommended for breakfast. read more

So, my review consists of points in, presense, time, delivery, appearance, and taste, 1rst presence is great old time feel from the 50s through 60s, 2nd,time it took to get seated, no time at all immediate seating, waitress responded quickly, and order taken, 3rd delivery of drinks was an B at best my alcoholic sparkys lemonade was filled with ice with literally 3 sips of alcohol, not impressed maybe less ice for future drinks would be better, food was delivered quickly, 4th it looked great and tasted better!!! But.... give people more alcohol if youre going to charge 7.50 for a drink for 3 sips of alcohol, that was severely upsetting. Thanks read more

I would probably give this place 4.5 stars if I could. The pulled pork is really exceptional; if you're ready to eat, then definitely go for the oversized portion. Another thing I get excited about is great coleslaw. So many places serve soggy, limp, and/or bland cole slaw, but Sparky's provided crisp cabbage with that vinegary bite I crave so much. If I came back, I would order the same thing again. The service could have been a little better, as I had some trouble getting water refills, but the food is worth it. Trust me. read more

Really good BBQ, ribs were over done, but still tasty, briskit was awesome, the staff was truly amazing, a must see and a must come to. I do recommend it read more

Good selection of food, good service and weekday specials. This is a great option if you are passing through or live here and have out of town guests. Fun atmosphere, family friendly and casual. It's a little expensive, but there isn't anything like it for at least 50 miles. read more

A good food & drink selection. From salads to steak. Unfortunately after our second visit there my friend ended up with food poisoning. After research we suspect someone w/staph not washing their hands and then preparing her salad. Already reported to health department but be careful... read more

Location, location, location means everything for the success of this place. Easy off freeway. Cute decor, many beers on tap. Friendly service. Sometimes on overload in the kitchen. Skip fries, over-cooked in low grade oil. No vegetarian option, it's a meat place!! BBQ brisket is chopped not pulled. Thumbs up on the selection of sauces read more

Saw the place driving by and thought it looked very cool. Antique/50s garage and car theme very well done, and the food was outstanding, as was the service. Will be back anytime I am in the area! read more

This restaurant was walking distance from our RV Park..so we thought let's try it. We got the Sunday Night Feast for two..well it could have served 4! Everything was prepared wonderful with an array of bbq sauces. We ended up bringing home a half chicken and our dessert! Melanie our server was delightful and would recommend this if your passing through or staying in Dillion! read more

Definitely a good stop in a small town like Dillon, MT! Very friendly and fast service! Nice menu with good options for everyone. My wife and I had salads that were fresh, no grit, and delicious. My daughter had a classic cheeseburger and fries and loved the fries. Try the Huckleberry Arnold Palmer! We will be back when we drive through again! read more

Love this unique spot!!!! Food & service was out of bounds! I had the southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes, & cream gravy. Also a side of mac & cheese. So yummy delicious. Also a.very refreshing huckleberry lemonade. My partner had the.fish & chips & he really enjoyed them! Can't go wrong.here! Ambience plus sparktacular vittles, what more could you ask for? read more

I don't understand any of the comments about stingy portion sizes. We just finished dinner here and we don't have any space for those luscious looking desserts. (Maybe we've all become accustomed to gigantic portion sizes that we can't, or shouldn't finish?) My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich (Sparky style) and I had the pulled pork plate (the smaller of the two choices). He had the cole slaw, I had sweet potato fries, corn, and cornbread. When my plate came, I admit, the portion looked 'small' but yet I had trouble finishing it. I was surprised that it came as one hunk of meat, without any sauce, but the waitress also brought a selection of sauces. As I cut into the meat, I realized how much meat was really there. With the spicy BBQ sauce, it was delicious. By the way, I shared the cornbread and the fries with my husband, and yet, I'm still quite full. The atmosphere is cutesy with all the old-time auto paraphernalia, including hanging lamps made from old gas cans. read more

Here is a wonderful treasure next to the college. This is our go to stop when in Dillon and judging by the crowd, others too. The food is excellent home cooked with fresh ingredients. They have great BBQ. I had pulled pork my husband brisket both with great cold slaw. The staff friendly and food comes quickly. The BBQ is really nice, tasty and tender. The sauce a sweet delicious compliment to the smoky meat. If you want good food, give this gem a try. This girl was happy! read more

We stopped here on our way through while on a road trip. What a pleasant surprise! Our breakfast was delightful! The berry syrup they brought out with the pancakes tasted home made! It seemed like there was quite a local crowd, and we felt right at home, even though we had never been there before. read more

I thought it was awesome! I loved the atmosphere. Having the silverware in the mechanic rags was so cute!!!

I went here with my parents and it was excellent. We started with fried green tomatoes which were very fresh and had a good sauce. I had the chicken fried steak, they brought me chicken fried chicken first, which was also good, but brought me the steak quickly after i brought it to the waitress' attention. There are so many ways a chicken fried steak can go wrong: boxed, gummy mashed potatoes, a white sauce reminiscent of cement, soggy batter on the steak. This one was superb. I'm still thinking about it a week later. The mashed potatoes tasted homemade (and made well), the sauce had a great taste to it and the steak was fried to perfection. The pulled pork was just okay, the st louis ribs were excellent, and all of the sides are pretty good. If I'm in Dillon again I'd definitely make another stop here! read more

Came to Sparky's with my mom and my son during our road trip. Fun atmosphere! TV's located throughout carried the Olympics, baseball games, and pre-season football games. Food was excellent! Everything is made on-site, including salad dressings (they even grind their own coffee!) Our waitress was very friendly ... Service was great! Highly recommend, and if we are ever here again, will definitely stop in! read more

We found this gem when passing through on the way to Butte. Fun decor, excellent service and exceptional sandwiches. A must stop for traveler's pm I-15. read more

This was my first trip, probably my last. The place we usually go was closed. I had heard good things about Sparky's, but I was underwhelmed. Ordered a classic margarita but it was kinda strange tasting. The salad was good, but when my chicken fried steak plate came it was a blob of cold mashed potatoes and an over cooked salty steak, covered with luke warm gravy. read more

I work in a brewery, so when I came across Spanky's I was pleasantly surprised to see so many beers on tap, and good ones at that. Bubba was our server and he was great. He made some great local beer recommendations. The meal was good, grilled cheese for the kids, pulled pork for the wife, and brisket sandwich for me. I am not the kind of person who expects Kansas City BBQ in Montana, having said that, these sandwiches hit the spot. The decor is nice, and the place is clean. Again, Bubba was great. This will be our go to place when ever passing through Dillon in the future. read more

I'm in Dillon for a while and so I have been checking out the better rated restaurants in town. I have had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Sparkey's (not on the same day :-) ). Breakfast would have earned a 3. The biscuit was good and the eggs were properly cooked, but the hash browns were not well cooked or seasoned. I gave the overall rating a 4, though, because lunch and dinner are much better. For lunch, I would recommend the teriyaki (sp?) chicken salad, but served on romaine (otherwise, you are in for a lot of iceberg lettuce, which I don't think should even be called a lettuce). The crispy chicken salad is also good, if you want something fried, and again, I recommend switching out to romaine. For dinner, I recommend the prime rib (only on Fridays and maybe Saturdays). It was very tender and cooked as I ordered it. The cornbread and sweet potato fries are both good sides. I wouldn't recommend the chicken pot pie unless you love crust and don't care how much chicken you get. The crust is very good, but there is a lot of it and there is not very much chicken to speak of. The only other down side is that aside from salads, there are no green veggies to be had. Only starching vegetables, and in my world, corn is tasty but doesn't get to count as a veggie. But, that's not just Sparkey's, so I mention it but wouldn't hold it against them. Oh, I know other yelpers complained about the service. But I have had about 5 meals there so far and the service has been fine. read more

We had a great meal at Sparky's. I had the BBQ Rib basket which included 1/3 rack of ribs with one side (I chose corn bread) and my husband had the Shrimp Po' Boy sandwich with cole slaw. The ribs were extremely tender and more than enough for a meal. They were served with three choices of bbq sauce: original, sweet, or spicy. The shrimp sandwich was good. I'm not a huge fan of fried food anymore, so I'd say the breading on the shrimp was thicker and crustier than I like but the remoulade dressing was tasty. The selection of Montana microbrews is good and the decor of this converted garage is fun. It is chock-full of filling station signs and memorabilia! We visited on a busy Saturday night and were able to get a table for two without waiting. read more

I've become a bit of a barbecue/southern cooking snob. I have been across the country stopping at multiple barbecue joints and sampling my favorite dish, pulled pork. This place had some pretty awesome pulled pork! Plus all the fixins you'd expect to come along with it. Of course, the most memorable part of Sparky's is the atmosphere. Even the napkins are terry cloths you'd find in a mechanic's shop. So unique! read more

Delicious-ness! Split a 1/2 rack of ribs & tried a variety of sauces which was nice. The meat fell off the bones! Chose the baked beans & sweet potato fries as sides. Beans were good but a little too sweet for me. Fries were perfect! Corn bread was also just a tad sweet for me so not necessary to add a little of the butter honey (which was a shame). That why the 4 stars instead of 5...too much sweetness for one meal. But I'd definitely come back!! read more

Good food, friendly service, will likely go back when in Dillon again.

Best beef brisket I have had! Loved the white gravy with the mashed potatoes. They had 4 different bbq sauces which were delicious. Will definitely stop again the next time through town. read more

Sparkys has a ton of options and have amazing milkshakes. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Everything tasted amazing!

Foods good, service is good, location is good. I'll likely return if someone wants to go. I have no complaints.

Decent spot for a quick bite in Dillon! We were on our way to Swan Lake and stopped for the night in Dillon. We were all pleased with the food. I got brisket, macaroni and a backed potato. It was decent for a small town dinner. I really did love that macaroni and cheese though. Quite tasty! Son said his burger was good. Good stop, price is right. Nobody in the party had anything bad to say. read more

Food was very good. A little slow on food prep time, but had a very good experience. A little pricey, but good for quality of food.

It was ok, but not someplace I'd go out of my way to find again. We had breakfast - biscuits and gravy with coffee. The coffee was bitter, and there really wasn't much in the way of sausage in the sausage gravy. We were hungry, and it was close by - but as I said, I wouldn't go out of my way to get there. read more
