Being a woman in her 60s I felt a little overwhelmed and helpless when this event happened. When I walked into the store, a gentleman named Grant helped me. He ran the diagnosis on my car and turns out, Cylinder one was misfiring with my engine. I had no idea what to do, but Grant went above and beyond and helped me. I ended up buying all the spark plugs and a solenoid to replace that first cylinder spot. He actually showed me how to replace the spark plug in made sure that I was able to get everything taken care of. Now, I realize that most people know how to work on their cars and get all of this stuff figured out. But, I felt stranded with no options until this young man helped me. His customer service was exceptional, professional, and went above and beyond. Because of the service, I will always return to that store and give them my business. Thanks to AutoZone and their impeccable customer service, they definitely made a bad situation, not so bad. Thank you very much, I'm very grateful. I will see you guys in December to buy the other three solenoids and replace them, now that I know how to change them. Great work, AutoZone! Thank you, Grant.

I also sleep in the back of my truck and the insulated canopy they installed in 2016 has yet to leak, In fact, the insulation is still tight & fresh as it was on day 1. The overhead LED lights inside the canopy have yet to stop working. All of this speaks to their craftsmanship & quality parts. The power-steps finally gave out after a decade of use, so it was time to replace them. I was given the option between the cheaper overseas version, or the USA built version. It's nice to get price options and their expertise on the level of quality. As part of the install they noticed a cracked end cap for one of the steps. (I would have never noticed it on my own) Anyhow, they called it out, already have a replacement on the way from the factory, and when the part arrived - they were able to a do a 'while you wait' replacement. This has been my repeat experience with them, I hope you find it helpful in your decision making.

I stopped back by to have them check it, and the manager immediately got very defensive and raised his voice at me that they already balanced them right and that I would have to pay to get them re-balanced. Well, any REPUTABLE shop would simply rebalance them but they refused without me having to pay again. I trusted them that it was done right, so I left, fairly intimidated by this manager. Well, I drove for a bit and it was still bothering me, so I had to pay ANOTHER shop to balance them, $84. Well guess what? ONE wheel was off by 1.75oz. Megan and Dean are wonderful, highly recommend them for your VWAG vehicle!…read moreThis review is long overdue, I got connected with Futrell about 4 years ago after having picked up a VW Golf that supposedly had some aftermarket modifications that the dealer couldn't offer clarity on. After sending the VIN out to a handful of shops, Dean was one of few who responded, had worked on the vehicle, and was able to clear up some details. Since then, I've chosen Futrell as my go-to for routine and incidental maintenance. I especially appreciate their transparency, which is the most important aspect of interaction with a business for me. For more basic stuff, I prefer to do some of my own maintenance. In one case, there was an aspect of routine maintenance that we hadn't discussed when I dropped my vehicle off. Megan called to discuss that with me before the work was executed, giving me agency in whether or not I would handle that aspect of the service myself - something I really appreciated. In another case, I was dealing with a dying Turbo. Megan was very responsive in getting me an estimate and, since timing was a critical component of my decision making process, outlined projected timelines / availability for the repair. Megan wound up referring me to another shop across town that was able to get me back on the road sooner. I've previously dealt with other shops that try to secure paying work by telling the customer what they want to hear while failing to meet those expectations, the team at Futrell are looking out for what's in their clients' best interests and for that they have my loyalty.

I got a tour of the shop and I'm in awe. Thank you Meghan! Their lobby and waiting room reflect their passions for unusual guitars, skateboards, and Star Wars memorabilia. I would say that German made cars are their biggest passion. My car works like a charm as they went over and above with extra tasks that a car this old needed. I will never go to the dealer again. Futrell's has a customer for life as this is my forever car.
