Extremely dishonest people. My son's friend went in to have her front tires replaced and they told her that the control arms were bad, the rear tires needed to be replaced, and the rear brakes were down to 1mm. As someone that services cars I took a look to verify and none of it was true. They said the control arms had cracks in the seals, but they were perfectly fine. I checked the rear brakes and they were fine. They were trying to scam $1700 out of a young girl that did not know any better. The estimate was written on a notepad from another company. BE VERY CAREFUL with this company, get a second opinion! I am filing this with the BBB. read more

Aloha Auto Center - Note this bill did not include the tires they said she needed which brought it to $1700 - Auto Repair Near Me - Hillsboro, Oregon

Scott replaced oil pan and gasket. Stripped threads in drain from a prior oil change by prior service company. Scotts final price was about $100 less than his quote. This was my first visit tp Aloha Auto Center and will probably won't be my last based on my first repair. read more

Absolutely five stars. I've always wanted to find a mechanic who I feel like I can trust and I have found them in this business. Multiple issues with my 2007 Ford that they've addressed, excellent customer service explaining to me things I didn't understand, fantastic prices. They have my business forever. read more

The only place to take your car!! Spectacular mechanics & the customer service is the very BEST!! Quotes are given & Prices are excellent. I'll never go anywhere else . read more

Few things are more challenging or frustrating than finding a reputable person or company that you can trust to work on your vehicle. I've been taking my three vehicles to Aloha Auto Center for almost a decade now and trust them completely. So often auto repair companies take advantage of their customers by over-billing them or recommending services they do not need. Aloha Auto Center does business the old fashioned way of doing only the work you need done, doing their work to the highest standards of quality attainable and billing you for work that is fair and reasonable. You would be hard pressed to find a more ethical company in auto repair work in Portland. I wholeheartedly recommend them. read more

I took my sons car in that we just got him for a check engine light problem and a full look over. We had a bit of work done but all things that will make it run great from now on, basically a lot of regular maintenance the previous owner failed to do but all I care about is it's fixed and will run even better than before and we got great service at Aloha Auto Center. More than we had planned on but what do you do, had to make sure my sons car is in good shape and ready to drive safely. read more

took my car in for having a fuel issues. Got it back just for it to be having the exact same issue. Was told it was running really well but it was running the same way it was before i took it in. $140 down the drain. read more

Absolutely top notch. My car was diagnosed accurately and fixed with a great description of why it happened and how best to keep it from happening again. A trustworthy owner and crew, they treated me professionally so I am happy to refer Aloha to my friends. read more

Not sure what happened here. Used to be the go to for friendly honest service. But both of those are in question now after very rude service on multiple occasions. And having to redo work. Bummer, but gonna have to cross this one off the list... read more

They "fixed" my external coolant leak and returned my car to me with an internal coolant leak (that had never been there before). I have never seen a drop of coolant inside my vehicle but I got my truck back from them with a puddle on my floor mat. I thought maybe they just spilled so I wiped it up. Nope, it's getting worse and worse. When I called, they want to charge me over $700 for to fix it. I think they caused it so I definitely won't return to them to get it "fixed". Plus, when I was there, they seemed to enjoy talking down to me. If I had time to go elsewhere, I would have but instead I just bit my tongue. Maybe it's my mistake for letting people that don't respect me work on my vehicle. read more

Been going here for years and always very satisfied with their work. Great place and Kevin knows his business

Took my car here as I had a torx screw lodged in my tire... Would only hold pressure for about 6 hours after reinflation it at home. Luckily Aloha Auto Center is only a few blocks from me. I drove down there and they fixed my tire on the spot and refused payment! What a friendly gesture. Nice to see a business who does not take the opportunity to make a quick buck but, rather plays the long game to build a great reputation. They have earned my future business and I have already recommended to several co-workers. read more

I don't know even know where to begin other than to say their service was exceptional! Superb actually. I knew when I first walked in that I would be in good hands, which is important to me, being a woman and being anxious about being taken advantage of. They really made my week with their kindness and expertise. I will be going back next to get my brakes done and I'm looking forward to it. I never thought I'd say that about any of my car repairs! I highly recommend them; you won't regret it! read more

A NEXT DOOR person recommended ALOHA AUTO CENTER -- Kevin. If you are strapped for cash, he lays out all your options and what you can delay a while to fix etc. I was quoted 800 on a engine light problem by another mechanic. Kevin has been there over 20 years and he explained everything to me and it ended up costing 260 but I do have another problem that will cost another 400 but I can stall on it for awhile. So his total quote was 200 less than the other mechanic. He is also respectful completely and doesn't talk down to women. 4.5 stars on yelp 2810 SE 75th Ave Hillsboro, OR 97123 United States +1 (503) 591-7442 read more

Can't say enough about the level of service, here. Brought in an older Jeep Liberty we'd recently had work done at another shop, which had seemed to have made some mistakes rebuilding. These guys were accommodating, knowledgeable, and quick to find and solve the problem - unexpected and welcome, especially given we were an unscheduled walk-in. Professional and reasonably priced, to say the least! Highly recommended! read more

I developed a significant oil leak while staying in the area for a few days. Aloha Auto Center was able to work me into their schedule the same day. They added dye and traced the leak and My vehicle was repaired the next day! Their charges were very fair. I would definitely go back. read more

As with previous (different) repairs, AAC came through w/flying colors! Reliable work, great expertise from Scott -- a true Master Mechanic -- and Co. Likewise, Terry manages the shop with integrity, being upfront / straightforward in notifying of updates and unexpected issues; trustworthy. I have been a customer for several years now, the service is excellent, and fast. The techs will give you a fair appraisal of your issues and options. I have never brought my vehicles back for rework problems. They are, and will continue to be, my go-to mechanics. read more

Amazing Service! I took my Jeep there, to correct a problem that the neighboring Oil Can Henry's caused. Not only did they correct the problem for FREE, I could not help but to notice that the Mechanic stated that they receive several "screw-ups" from the neighboring Oil Can Henry's. They were friendly beyond belief. Their competence was evident. And, they seem to be well-qualified with Jeeps! Nothing came out of their mouths that did not inspire confidence. And, I witnessed them treat other customers with the same professionalism. To them, I give my congratulations. They understand what customer service is all about! - Ivan Loock read more

I brought a 2000 Dodge Intrepid with a slight internal coolant leak that would need filled once a month, and received back a 2000 Dodge Intrepid that has a massive internal oil leak, that was not there before, and a HUGE coolant leak that BOTH need filled EVERY WEEK. They charged me $600 to stop the internal oil leak, and they made it WORSE! I don't know if these guys expect people who drive older cars and are on a tight budget to be stupid, but they sure treated my wife and I that way. Only bring your car to the shop if you know exactly what needs to be done on it, and exactly what doesn't, otherwise they will screw you over big-time for big money because they try to make big money on people who have nice cars, and they damage old cars so there's repeat business on the people who don't look like they have a lot of money. Liars never prosper, and these dirtbags are liars. read more

I've only had to take my car here once. But next time I need auto service this will be my first choice to go again. No upsells. No BS. Just friendly, laid back service. Repairs were done quickly for reasonable prices. read more

I have been going to this shop since 1998. My two current vehicles were inspected by them before being purchased and all needed repairs have been done by these mechanics. Once, I did change the oil on my Jeep while at my brother house in the SF Bay Area. When I fired up the engine, I had no oil pressure registering. I called and talked to Terri, the owner. He immediately diagnosed that I had broke the sensor off the engine which was correct. :-( Bottom line is I can call, get help so I can either get my car running again, or get going so I can get into the shop. Truly this is a great place to get work done on my vehicles! read more

I selected Aloha Auto Center after reading the many great online reviews and am glad I did. We are in town visiting relatives and it was time for an oil change and so I made an appointment. The service was quick and the price was extremely reasonable, and Kevin was very professional. I can see why Aloha gets so many glowing reviews. I just wish these guys were in Phoenix where we live. We will certainly recommend to our family and friends who live in the area. read more

We have been taking all three of our cars/trucks to Kevin and Terry for several years now. We have a Honda, Toyota and Ford, nothing like covering all the basis huh??? Anyway, I have referred them often, but someone suggested I do it on "Yelp" so here it goes....... These guys are brilliant mechanics, so far have been able to fix anything! They are HONEST reliable, accommodating and just plain NICE guys! You won't get the run around, you won't get "jacked" for stuff that doesn't need to be done and if they say it will be done by a certain time, you can bet on it. Also, their prices are VERY reasonable. Thanks guys, you are the best! Don't plan on retiring any time soon. :) M Bohna Hillsboro OR read more

My Jeep Doctor. Used to work across the street and noticed this is a busy shop! My JK Jeep had some issues and I decided it was time to visit. Note to self, call in advance and schedule an appointment. Your busy, they are busy; it's the proper thing to do. Good communication. Quick fix and even noticed my battery was under rated. Visited again a few months later, major brake job and very happy. Ladies, this is an honest shop. Very fair labor price too. You can go here without a guy to translate the car talk. I did and recommend them highly. Say hi to Kevin for me. read more

Aloha Auto Center is an absolutely fantastic place to take your vehicles. We have been taking our 15 year old Maxima here for several years now and couldn't be happier. Kevin never tries to upsell me, or convince me to do unnecessary repairs on the car. He is completely honest and upfront and fair in pricing. Recently we took the car in for some minor complaints and could have spent a lot more than we did. We will continue to use Aloha Auto Center for as long as we live in the area. read more

Moved here from AZ and had a bunch of work that needed to be done to our Jeep. Went to the dealership and was quoted a ton of money. I did some research, came here and Kevin definitely took care of us. He had great reviews and now I know why. He actually quoted me $5 less than the dealership, but was doing more than double the amount of work! He was very honest with prioritizing what needed to be done first and what can wait. I had to be patient to get into the shop because they are very good mechanics, so it is worth the wait if it is an all day task which mine was twice. Him and his group of men there know what their doing and did great work for a very reasonable price. They are now my go to. read more

One of the best auto shops I've come across. The one time that really impressed me is when they didn't fix my car. They opened up the engine enough to tell it would have to be replaced or overhauled (oil pump failed which caused a series of other failures). The repair cost would have been more than the car was worth. They were honest with me and showed me what was wrong and discussed repair alternatives and costs. Since they really didn't repair it they did not charge anything! No "diagnostic fee", time spent, or other charge. The address out of the phone book is wrong. Unprofessional! I had my car towed here for a diagnosis (that I paid for). Following their diagnosis, I decided against having the repairs done. When I had my car towed back home and looked under the hood, the shop had left my car in parts, and did not reattach anything they unattached while diagnosing! read more

A/C stopped working and they tracked down the problem with the clutch! Best part is that we didn't go broke on the bill! Incredibly reasonable rates and well worth it. This should have been a simple visit, but not, and they had our car done in one day. We love these guys and don't trust our vehicles with anyone else. They are honest and go above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you ALL!!!! read more

I've taken 2 different cars to Aloha Auto and was very impressed with the service. The first time i went was based off of a recommendation from my employer. i'm very glad that i listened. Terry and Kevin are both great honest guys and they do great work at the shop. Before I became one of their customers, I had taken my car to Les Schwab beause I had a flat tire and was told that I needed all new breaks. I decided to go to Aloha Auto to get a better price and was told that i still have 80% left on my breaks and that I did not need new ones. I really appreciate their honestly. Unfortunately, based on my past experience, a lot of mechanics in the industry would have probably agreed with them but they didn't. They are definitely top notch and I will use them for all my future needs. read more
