Long story short: This location did my most recent oil change. And I had to have someone else clean…read moreup their lackluster work. I brought my car to an auto shop for an overall check-in for maintenance and they found oil leaking all over my car. It was the oil filter that Oil Changers put on and it was completely loose. Oil leaked and soiled the entire area near the filter. I had to pay the auto shop to do another oil change with a new filter just to be safe and to clean up the mess and it was so disappointing to know that if Oil Changers had just tighten the oil filter I would have not had to go through that extra cost. Here's why a loose oil filter is concerning as I learned: A loose filter allows significant oil loss, risks engine damage, and likely let contaminants enter. THE LESSON: Won't be going back to Oil Changers anymore or any other quick oil change places. The quality is just not there. Too risky for you and your car. Take it to your local dealership or an auto shop you trust. Pay for quality first and you won't have to suffer later....

They do top quality repair work. They are honest and upfront on what needs to be done. Back in January, we noticed that our car was leaking some type of fluids, and over heating. In a panic, we stopped by Square Deal, and they were to take us even though they were super busy that day. A few days later we had our car back with all the necessary repairs done. Fast forward to last Friday, I noticed some fluids leaking under the front of the car again. I took my car to Square Deal, and they ran all the necessary diagnostics and found nothing leaking or any broken hoses. It turned out to be condensation from the AC. The pricing is competitive and if they see something else that needs to be done other than the original issues, they would call and let me know before proceeding with the repairs. They are a family owned and local and conveniently located in downtown Pinole. Brian and Paunch(sp?) are super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I can't say enough about Square Deal Garage. I had a disappointing experience at Big O Tires in Pinole. I…read morecame in because I found a nail completely embedded in my tire on my 2022 Honda Insight. My tire pressure light never came on, so I suspected the nail hadn't punctured through. The guy at the front counter was actually very nice and helpful with checking me in. But when I went to the back where the tire workers were, one of the techs told me my car "doesn't have tire pressure sensors." That is completely false MY 2022 Honda Insight DOES have TPMS. Then they tried to tell me I needed a whole new tire for $280 without showing me any real damage. The attitude from the workers in the back made it seem like they assumed I didn't know anything simply because I'm a young woman. It felt very dismissive and unprofessional. I trusted my gut and went across the street to NFS Tires for a second opinion. The tech there removed the nail, sealed the hole, patched the tire correctly and charged me $45. He confirmed the tire was totally fine and did NOT need to be replaced. Big O Tires gave me incorrect information about my own vehicle and tried to upsell me unnecessarily. Meanwhile, NFS Tires was honest, quick, and affordable. If you're in Pinole, go to NFS Tires instead they actually treat customers fairly.

I needed my car diagnosed and fixed today, Accutech came to the rescue. I was on the phone with Irma, she was a pleasure to speak with while sorting out what I needed done. She confirmed they could diagnose the car and fix it today if I brought it in within the next few hours. I brought the car in around 9am, they confirmed my suspicion on what needed to be done, they got the part delivered to them by 1030am, then started working on the car and I picked it up by 2pm. They go to lunch from 12:30-1:30 (I think) so I'm assuming the car was done prior to lunch and they just wrapped up after they got back from lunch. The price for the repair was super reasonable! Compared to other shop quotes, this was a no brainer. The shop has been family owned for the past 30 years. They've gained a new customer(s) out of my wife and I. Highly recommend going to get repairs done here!

Before going in for the first time, I called them to see if they had any same day availability for a smog check and I also read through both recent Google and Yelp reviews and all were positive so I gave this place a shot. And I'm glad I did! I called in around 2:45pm and made an appointment for 3:30pm that same day. I found the location with ease and pulled up to the parking lot. That only thing I noticed was that almost all of the parking spots were taken in their lot, but I did manage to find one lucky spot right in front of the entrance. This Pinole area seems relatively safe and I didn't feel anxious leaving my car parked outside. When I went in, I was instantly greeted with a smile and the place was very tidy and clean. Big windows with healthy looking plants all around. I checked in at the counter, filled out a form since it was my first time, and then sat in the waiting area. I was quoted about 20-30mins and my car ended up being ready definitely within 20mins. It was super quick. I checked out at the counter and chatted with the front desk person a bit about next steps with my smog check and car registration renewal. She was super friendly and informative. Excellent customer service. The smog check pricing was also comparable to other places nearby that I had called. Will keep this place in mind the next time I need some car work done!
