Likely the scariest and worst service ever! Maintenance basics should be, skim, sweep, vacuum and test water. We were lucky to get skim and slight sweep. He said the pool only needs vacuuming when its dirty. He broke our backwah lever and then said he wouldn't fix it because it was an unnecessary part..uh ok. We agreed to have him replace the mastic and he did such a shoddy job, leaving mastic spills all over my brick coping, which I now have to pay to get cleaned. He also said he cleaned our filters and the new company came in and showed us there wasn't any DE. We also had to shock our pool due to all the algae during his short stint. When we fired him and paid him only half of what he wanted, he threatened us, saying we messed with the wrong MUTHER F$!^ER. Since then our pool has been vandalized and we know he did it!!!!!! Pool plaster needed to be replaced due to damage. Had the old plaster removed, then the main drain was updated to two drains with a new pipe to a new skimmer. They also removed a water fill pipe that was a tripping hazard and installed an auto fill system. They replaced the old light assembly and ring, so the light could be properly installed and finally work. They then stained the existing brick work around the pool. They then replastered the pool using PebbleTec, which is far nicer than standard plaster. They came out to start on the pool very quickly and did a good job on everything they did. The only thing that I had a problem with was going into the backyard without first notifying me. The owner would knock on the door first, but the workers would usually just show up in the backyard. I would recommend this company; you just need to watch your animals do not get out. read more

Watch out for this guy. Since he came in to check on my pool that I needed service right away as the algae was getting out of control, so the very first moment by himself checking on the pool, he showed me that the filter was leaking and the meter on top, he put tape telling that it was broken, something that It was perfectly fine before he came in. I trusted the guy as probably he was right. He then send me an invoice for $602. I paid and he started coming every week, since the beginning of August. Then, my pool has a cascade like fall from the spa that was working fine. Suddenly, it stopped working and I texted Ahmed about it. Then, he replied telling me that something is wrong with a pipe and will cost $400 and he will take care of it. By then, what I suspect, I was right, this guy is a crooked. Don't trust him. Stay away, and look for someone that is a honest human being. For being desperate, I agreed to help me even though, I didnt trust my instinct that he was a dishonest scum bag. Don't hire this guy, he's a crook and a thief he will try to tell you something is wrong with your pool or your system to get money out of you. I've had my pool for over 25years and have been maintaining it myself. I hired him to redo my plaster, right away he said my pool was leaking and that I needed a bigger filter. I told him that it was fine and that I did not hire him for that. I just needed my plaster redone. I bought all the materials and he took the left over tiles. On the first day, he said he was coming I was expecting him to knock on the front door. Next thing you know, I see him in my back yard, never even knocked on the door. I wouldn't hire him again. Owner Tony Ahmed is SO easygoing and loves to please his clients! His crew is very agreeable too. The crew was in the middle of doing the demolition and I saw the floor tile - the choice was blue or black I told Tony blue ( without looking at the color in person). When I saw the color during demolition job site I saw that it was not going to match the blue wall tile and freaked out. I called Tony and said this blue will not work, bring the black (and he was on the way to job site ) . Can you guess what Tony did? He turned his truck around and worked his magic (not even knowing if they had the black tile in stock ) and brought the black tile to job site on time before that area was worked on no problem - with a big smile on his face. He has been in direct communication with me and our pool cleaning guy from day one through the start up (NOTE:startup cleaning process is not included in pool plastering price and runs under a $1000 But he can give you instructions on doing it yourself takes about five full days of constant cleaning of the plaster to get rid of the dust that needs to be removed from the pool) Sparkling Pool Plastering Service of Fontana is still in communication with us. It took about a week & a half to drain the pool, demo the entire pool & spa, retile everything, re-plaster, & fill pool. His tile work was protection. After using the same pool service company for many years, we had to let them go after several instances of bad service and delayed responses. I called this company after 4pm and said we had a somewhat urgent issue, in addition to looking for a new company to take over our weekly service. Our pool had just been remodeled and the lack of adequate start-up care was on the verge of damaging our brand new plaster/ mini pebbles. I was hoping for a same-day response, but thought that would be pretty unlikely because of how late it was. Without asking, Tony said he would be over shortly and arrived about an hour later. My contractor was still on-site and explained exactly what was needed. Tony already seemed very knowledgeable on what do to at different stages of the project. After maintaining my own pool for more than 20 years, I hired Ahmed Yakout of Sparkling Pools to take over maintenance, and what a mistake it was. From the very beginning, I started having problems with his service, but wanted to make sure I gave him a fair chance to adequately perform the work for which he was being paid. In the first month of service, he charged me $525 to replace valves he claimed were leaking, but he did not perform a proper leak detection to reach that conclusion, and another $270 for additional work that was not authorized, including cleaning filters that I told him I cleaned one month before hiring him, to which he said he needs to do himself to ensure that it was done, and adding two $30 chlorine tablet floaters, even though I have salt system pool?? I also had to replace my pump after it mysteriously developed problems shortly after starting his service. The folks at the local Leslie's Pool Supply stated that a ploy some shady pool guys use to increase service charges is to intentionally run the pump dry, then charge big money to replace it, I won't accuse Ahmed of this ploy since I have no proof, but I find it very peculiar that my equipment worked just fine until I hired him, then all of the sudden?? He also got kind of irritated when I didn't allow him to do the replacement, going as far as to say that it was "illegal" for Leslie's, where I bought the pump, to do the install, REALLY??? Based on feedback from my daughter, there were weeks he did not show up at all, and other weeks when he did show, but spent all of about 10 minutes or less doing who knows what, then leaving my pool as dirty as it was when he arrived, and to add salt to the wound, he would bill for the entire month. To make matters even worse, on a couple of occasions, my daughter caught this man peering at her through the window. After confronting him with my concerns, and placing conditions on continued employment, he disputed my daughter saying she is "watching television" or "sleep inside the living room", implying that she wouldn't know whether or not he was performing the service, now how could he know what my daughter was doing in our home if he was not looking through the window. Needless to say, I terminated his service. The warning I'm passing to all IE pool owners is this...STAY AWAY FROM AHMED YAKOUT AND SPARKLING POOL SERVICE, HE HAS PROVEN HIS DISHONESTY TO ME, AND IF YOU VALUE THE PRIVACY YOU EXPECT TO ENJOY IN YOUR OWN HOME, DON'T BE HIS NEXT VICTIM!!! I cannot comment on their services but I can comment on the driving. I was on 15 south and one of the drivers cut me off and I almost hit another car. The driver also did the same thing to another car. No signals were being used and they were going over the speed limit. Professionalism should be shown off the clock as well. Sparkling pool service charged us several hundred dollars (we said okay) when we moved in January 2017 and the pool had been previously maintained weekly. Suddenly April 2017 he said the pool needed to be drained and cleaned. More $$$$. I found he stopped treating the pool so it would need to be drained. He said for $1500 he'd repair the pool light. I fired him. Our new pool guy found the pool light switch and just turned it on; there was never anything wrong. We paid the new pool company to drain and clean the pool. read more
