my modem died which in their defense it was 5+ years old but they took my ping from 60ms to a whopping 1611 after the modem upgrade :)

Horrible customer service. Going on 3 weeks with slow, intermittent internet and technicians canceled appointment again today.

I gave them one star because I can't give zero. July 6th my internet goes down so I call the tech support they can't figure out what's wrong so they tell me they will schedule a service call. The earliest appointment? JULY 30TH!! $140 A MONTH.....I DON'T THINK SO. Set up my new service with CTI fiber today. They can have a new service hooked up sooner than new wave can fix their service. read more

This by far is the most ass cheek internet i've ever experienced i mean seriously i'm pretty sure their budget ass lines are cheaper than the production of the shark-nado movies. Holy fuck i can run on a hamster wheel butt naked with jumper cables clamped onto my nipples and plugged into my computer to get faster speeds. I could start a internet company from the ground up faster than the techs come out to my house. literally from the ground up. i'm talking digging the holes for the wires, pouring the concrete with my bare hands, laying every single brick on my own before they can figure out what's wrong. but when they do finally show up they turn your router off, wait 30 seconds and plug it back in and says it's fixed. like seriously? Does it look like i'm that retarded? a mentally challenge one armed squirrel could've done that now fix the real issue, the actual service. Thank you read more

This company Consolidated Communications in Taylorville Illinois is by far one of the worst companies I've ever experienced in regards for cable TV and internet service providers. They've lied on more than one occasion. They over charged me for saying I was late with my payment and I wasn't. They have very poor equipment that continually breaks, I've gone to seven DVRs 4 modems and have lost internet for days costing me money in lost EBay sales. they've never met the speed of internet that they quoted me which is 20 Mbps, the first 6 months of my service with them I was told I was going to be getting 20 megabytes per second and did not find out until six months later that I was only getting 10 and Not only was it an issue of my location it was the issue with the way they wired it up they set it up for 10 Mbps they didn't even set it up for 20 Mbps but nevertheless charge me the same knowing that they were stealing from me. There technicians on more than one occasion have tracked mud on my carpet but wouldn't stop when told to. The last straw was when one of their technicians said if you don't like us then get a different service he recommended it. read more
