I started my indoor cycle journey at the end of 2022. I was nervous to start but I'm so happy I did because I can't get enough of Sparkcycle! The instructors have great energy, and so do the classes themselves. The environment is awesome and just gets you hyped and keep on pushing. I'm a beginner and would recommend anyone to try it out. I started coming to Spark since Aug 2020 when rides were being held outside during Covid. From the first time I rode Stephanie was beyond sweet and welcoming! All the instructors are great! There's different styles and options. It never feels like 45 minutes since it's fun and active. Every ride feels new and exciting. You feel a great sense of community with riders and instructors. It's nice to see regulars and exciting to see new faces. I love it there so much I did a birthday ride and it was perfect! Definitely recommend coming. I would like to update my review. I have been attending the outdoor classes at Sparkcycle and it has been such an enormous relief that they are offering classes outdoors. This year has been so heavy and this is one thing that is really helping me get through this rollercoaster of a year. All of the bikes are distanced, they have a strict mask rule but you are allowed to remove it while you ride. I feel safe, everything is sanitized and clean. But most of all I love the amazing energy that all of the teachers and staff give off to really make you feel like you are part of their community. If you're looking for a great and fun way to relieve stress, this is it! I definitely recommend trying it out! read more

The best cycling studio I've been to. Everything about Spark is great. The location, abundant parking, complimentary shoe rentals, the bikes, the music, the ambience. I could go on and on. I drive from East County SD to go here. McClaren is my favorite instructor of all the classes I've attended... out of all of studios I've visited. She's motivating, creates awesome playlists/choreography, and is just such a nice human being. Sure, classes seem pricey, but it's not any more than other studios tend to charge. It feels like an investment in my sanity. The best experience every time I walk into the studio! It truly doesn't feel like a workout because of how much fun everyone has on the bikes. The studio is always very clean and the instructors are incredibly friendly! The energy level is insane and I always leave excited to come back. I've been to both locations but Liberty Station is my favorite because you can easily grab food and drinks right after class. I've taken a couple classes here and today I had the pleasure of taking Krystin B's class and let me just tell you, she was bad ass! So bad ass I felt like a bad ass! Straight rock star status! The music was poppin, a great mix of hip hop and house/techno and some sexy saxophone. I was pumping and pushing along and even if I was off beat at times, it was dark so no one noticed or cared because everyone was so in the zone!! The girls that work the front desk are so helpful and oh so sweet! I love that the girls are also readily available to help you get set up inside the classroom as well. What a ride!! The BF and I checked out SparkCycle for my very first spin class ever. I've been spending the majority of the summer doing yoga and was looking for a little cardio boost. I thought I'd try out SparkCycle because of its convenient location in Liberty Station. I did not know what to expect, but the staff was so kind and friendly. They walked me through everything- helping my clip in, figure out the resistance and what exactly to do. They let you borrow the clip in shoes for free. They have lockers that you can borrow as well. The facility is beautiful and nice. There are four rows of seats. The seats are placed stadium style so even if you're in the back, you can see and I definitely wanted to be in the back. The front is for the people who can keep a rhythm and actually know what they're doing. Fans are located on both sides of the seating area, but they keep it really cold in there. You also get an amazing cold towel with eucalyptus at the end! Ah-mazing. We went to Jordan's class and it was great. She has major energy and it was electric. Spin is definitely intense. Between the blackout lights and then the red mid lighting. It's intense, but so much fun! We loved it, so we bought a package. You can conveniently book online and save your seat. The class times vary depending on the day of the week. Super fun workout! read more

Sparkcycle is the best spin studio in San Diego. I've been to most of the spin studios in San Diego, but nothing compares to Spark. All the instructors have great energy and fun choreography, which makes the class go by super fast. It's a great workout that just feels like a party on the bike! I've been going to Spark for years, it's addicting! The staff really try to get to know you and are so encouraging. For example, they always acknowledge when you hit certain milestones (e.g 100 rides, birthdays, etc.). I attended classes throughout my pregnancy (with my doctors approval of course) and up to 2 days before I delivered. When the owner (Steph) noticed I stopped coming to classes, she emailed me to check to see how I was doing with the baby. As soon as I was able to get back on bike postpartum, I was surprised by a cute card and a sparkcycle onesie. Sooo sweet! Highly recommended!! read more

As a long time Soul Cycle devotee, I was reluctant to try Sparkcycle. Boy, am I glad I did. It's such a wonderful location in Liberty Station, easy parking and plenty of class times to choose from. The studio is immaculate, and the bikes are as good as SC making the ride smooth and challenging. The format is very similar, low light and loud music - and the 45-minute class flies by. I love that this studio in particular is well ventilated so the classes don't get so stifilingly hot as the La Jolla location. I take classes twice weekly in between HIIT workouts to get more cardio. It's so enjoyable and I always leave feeling way better than when I came. Big bonus for FREE bike shoes and wonderfully scented cold towels after each class. LOVE this place! I live in the OC but have business in San Diego and attend this studio whenever I can. The spin bikes are smooth and seemingly well maintained, scheduling is simple online and the desk personnel is kind and helpful. Last night a girl named Lily helped me and was energetic and helpful despite multiple clients asking questions at the same time. I don't have that kind of patience myself. A guy (can remember his name sorry) taught my class and he was INCREDIBLE. Music was terrific and I'm still exhausted from the workout. Wish I lived down here. I could see myself becoming addicted! I joined Classpass and my girlfriend, Nina, asked me to go to Sparkcycle with her. I was skeptical because 1. I hate cardio 2. how much fun can riding a stationary bike be? You guys, I'm now OBSESSED! I've tried other spin classes around San Diego since and nothing compares to Sparkcycle. The music, the instructors, the dancing (hella hard to keep the beat at first but fun when I learned how to do it). My favorite part is that there's a moment to meditate, where the instructor plays feel good music, encourages you to close your eyes, turns the lights off, and you just riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide to positivity. I came across SPARKCYCLE by accident, going to meet a friend at Moniker next door. The vibe happening with the outdoor class was FULL of energy and I wanted to experience the fun. I asked an instructor how to sign up, and I've now been riding once or twice a week for several months. Gunnar is a personable and exciting instructor - he seriously sets the tone for my midweek days and I so, so appreciate his energy. Riding spin is slightly weird at first, but you get the hang of the resistance and you'll be crushing it in no time.
