I finally tried the famous Spark Pizza! I stopped by after work to pick up a pizza to go, chose the Mama Mia. The place was a bit busy in the evening and I had to wait some time before being assisted, but the pizza is worth the wait! Amazing thing crust, believe it's wood fired, and great flavors! I noticed the patio seating while I was waiting for my pizza and it looks super cute and cozy with outdoor heaters and lights. Would love to come back to dine in and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. There is a parking lot although it is a bit awkward to park and walk around the fence to get to the restaurant. Essentially, there is a dirt path on the left corner of the parking lot and you can walk around the fence towards the restaurant. Take out window is to the right (there will be a sign). I got the Truffle pizza, which is basically made with a truffle paste base (not tomato) and instead of cheese it's made with Yukon Potato slices. They don't take a reservation, so make sure to come in at least a half hour before you want to eat during rush hour to put your name down. They will text you when your table is ready. As LA natives, we know a thing or two about excellent service, great pizza, and good drinks. Sparks came highly recommended, so on one rainy evening we decided to check it out. The place is quite small, but the ambiance more than makes up for it. We waited about 45 minutes for a table, but they have a designated area where you can grab a beer or cocktail and hang out while you wait, which made the time pass easily. Our group of three enjoyed a few cocktails and waited patiently. Once we were seated, the space felt warm and quaint. We were greeted by Jacob, who promptly brought us water and walked us through the menu and the vibe of the place. Surrounded by the comforting aroma of oven-roasted pizza, we immediately felt at home. We asked for recommendations and were pointed toward their best sellers, so we ordered the Mamma Mia and the Spicy Lucy--both excellent choices. The dough was perfectly warm, and every bite somehow tasted better than the last. This spot absolutely deserves five stars for its outstanding service and incredible pizza. i used to live in downtown redmond, and i'd always pass by this place, and the atmosphere always seemed awesome, and then i looked up the menu and prices, and it was out of my normal pizza budget, but i decided that one special day, i would eat here i had the opportunity tonight to eat spark pizza. it was absolutely delicious. it was one of the best pizzas i've ever had in my life. i didn't even have anything fancy, but even then, you could still tell the quality and care put into it. my son and i devoured this pizza. it was a special experience the staff is so, so, so, so, so, so kind. one of my friends recently told me that the pizza here is good but tbh he and his kids both just want a costco pizza at the end of the day. i'm here to say that he is wrong. i never want a costco pizza again in my life. i want spark pizza every day!!!! thank you so much for this amazing experience!!!! read more

150 people before me have already told you it's fantastic, and so now I'm 151. We showed up and it was a 45 minute wait, so we walked down to Redmond's Bar and Grill and had a beer while we waited. Certainly a better use of time than standing around waiting. We had a Caesar Salad, the Sardinian pizza, a beer to wash it down with, and finally the Butterscotch Budino for dessert. The food is good but the takeout service sucks. Why would you have people pick up and place their orders in the same line? I asked the hostess if I really have to wait for 4 ppl to order in front of me to pick up my food ready 15 min ago and she said "yes". That would be no issue if they were quick taking orders but the same person taking orders is also making drinks for people placing orders so each person on line literally took 5 minutes to move. Had dinner at Sparks Pizza in Redmond tonight and it was insanely good. We had to wait about 40 minutes for a table but it was worth the wait. We got the gluten free Homage to Frankie's and the crust was light, fluffy and chewy and the toppings were a perfect balance of flavor from the crispy pepperoni, sausage, earthy mushrooms and slight pop of acid from the pickled peppers. Finished dinner with a GF brownie and vanilla ice cream. It was so nice to have a meal where having to eat GF was so clearly not an afterthought and something that the restaurant puts a lot of thought and care into. Service was very attentive and friendly and the pizza only took about 10 minutes to come out. This was by far the best GF pizza I've ever had. It's probably not safe for someone celiac due to cross contamination but for people who want a truly exceptional GF pizza and aren't as sensitive to cross contamination, it is completely worth a visit. read more

First off the service here was super friendly! Not only was our server very welcoming but the hospitality from all the employees was so warming - super comforting in the cold gloomy weather. Now to the food. We got the Mama Mia pizza and Detroit style motor city pepperoni. The Mama Mia was labeled spicy and boy was it! This pizza did not miss on the spice. It was the perfect amount to balance the slight heaviness of the garlic base and cheesiness. The pepper added a nice slight sourness as well to keep the pizza fresh. The pizza was a floppy pizza but not soggy. For the Detroit style pizza (which is only offered Tuesday - Saturday with limited quantity) the bread crust was nice and fluffy and corner crunchy from the charred cheese. I thought the pizza was a tad salty (but what do you expect when there's a generous amount of pepperoni on top) but nothing the side of honey couldn't balance out for a nice sweet and salty combo. Overall stellar pizzas and came out to ~$55 with tip. There is only outside seating with heaters above the tables so dress warm if coming during the colder days. read more

Ok I've been dying to try Spark forever and finally got the chance today. It's a small little place with outdoor seating only but the patio stayed pretty warm and dry while it torrential downpourred. We got the caesar salad to start which was delish - perfect sized app for 4 people. For the pizzas, we got 3 - Honey, Spice, & Everything Nice; Mamma Mia!!; and The Sardinian. They were all amaze. I think my fav ended up being the Sardinian because of the little jalapeño sherry bacon jam situation on top. Our server Jake was attentive and on top of it. He was so fun and personable. The pizza was to die for but even if it wasn't, I'd come back just for Jake's service. He really went above and beyond for us and gave us some great laughs too. 10/10 experience 10/10 will come back 10/10 would wait 40 min in the torrential downpour for this place again. read more

After seeing that their website says they are in the top 50 pizza places in the US, I had high hopes. But the food and experience was just OK We ordered a regular pizza, a gluten-free pizza and meatballs. The regular pizza and meatballs were just average according to my husband and son. They said they've had much better locally and for less money. So for them it was not worth returning for My gluten-free pizza crust was made absolutely perfectly. It had a thin crust but was not like a crisp cracker like most thin crusts turn out. I had one of the vegetarian options but then added chicken and it was quite delicious. But I've had equally delicious pizza elsewhere for a little less money so I would tend to agree with my husband The part that I really did not like is that it was not clear where we were supposed to wait for a host to acknowledge us or help us The building is an old house that has been converted into a restaurant. So there are steps up to the front door. Evidently you're supposed to wait at the bottom of the steps for someone to come and greet you although there are no signs saying that and not even some sort of hostess stand. So we had to learn about this process from another patron who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs. And we just had to take their word for it which I typically don't do since many times people make assumptions that are wrong. But this was true. Even though we went around 5 o'clock on a Friday, there was going to be an hour wait so we decided to place an order to go. The person taking our order was extremely patient with us as we kept asking questions that then led to us changing our meal choices. And she was a great sport about it Based on the other reviews I've read, if you do decide to go, I would assume it's gonna be an hour wait Also, the only areas that I could figure out that you could wait (besides just standing there) were outside on benches that were uncovered. There did not seem to be any covered area for waiting so if it's raining, I guess you just get soaked? Or you bring your own umbrella? Neither sounds good to me. They did have two or three small sun umbrellas outside that I guess a small party could cover under? There are three or four heating lamps though. Also note that the only parking on their actual lot is for ADA parking. Otherwise, I think it said that you can park at Chase (bank)? Overall, for the average tastiness of the pizza, the higher price and the experience of the wait, including length and being uncovered, I would skip it read more

I love love coming here!! Recently heard about their Detroit pizza and had to come and give it a try. Low and behold they only make these Detroit pizza's Monday to Saturday and I came in a Sunday, lol Anyways we ordered the PNW salad and Homage to Frankie's pizza. The 12" pizza is not too big, I finished about 3/4 of the pizza, so probably not enough for 2 to share.
