Less well known and much quieter than the other rib restaurant Amadeus, it's pretty clear what is on menu here. Spare Rib is situated just across the canal from the Waterhuis, and near the castle. Try to get a table in the window so you can watch the evening unfolding outside.
Starters include many varieties of croquettes, but I'd recommend something fairly light, preferably accompanied by a fruit beer. Go on, you know you want to!
Ribs (as many as you can manage to eat) are served either barbequed or with honey, and come with a selection of 5 sauces, salad and a jacket potatoes or chips. Spare Rib also serves a fine steak with garlic butter.
If you can squeeze anything else past your lips, then I'd recommend Julie's chocolate mousse. read more
