This might be the best steakhouse I've dined at as far as I can remember. Eating at this restaurant was my favorite part of visiting Bruges. It was definitely a very unique experience. The best thing on the menu is the mixed meats served on a grill. They also serve several sauces in the side that can be used on the complimentary bread or the meat itself. The place was bit off the main sites. However, the food taste very good and they were kind. We were with little kid who needs high-chair during supper, but they seemed little bit annoyed with setting a high-chair even though the place was still have vacancy. Debated giving them 5 stars but what the hell. El Churrasco gets it all pretty much spot on and the steaks are bona fide. The decor is fun and works for this kind of joint. Service was efficient and friendly considering the full house on a Saturday night. We got the filet steak meals w poivre and mushroom sauce (both very good). The steaks were tender, nicely grilled and perfectly cooked w not a bit of fat, gristle of waste. The fries and salad were fine. A highlight was the tray of sauces provided including a delicious chutney-like pepper sauce and also some amazing garlic butter for the tasty bread. This was all washed down with a large carafe of delicious sangria full of fresh fruit. If you're looking for a casual steak dinner these Argentinians have it pretty much figured out. El Churrasco is a great version of this and serves up some excellent food in a fun, friendly setting. read more

We had a couple of really nice steaks here recently, after lucking out and slipping into the last table available on a Saturday night. The steaks were nice quality and cooked perfectly, and served with your choice of delicious sauces. Prior to the meal, the server sat a plate of 4 sauces on the table, the purpose of which was unclear to us (as Americans), but once the food - with fries - arrived, it all became clear: these were dipping sauces for the fries. Usually you pay per sauce for these, but El Churrasco includes them gratis. This was a nice little add-on to an already delicious meal. Sangria was good also. Glad we found this place, which at the time had no Yelp reviews. Location is great, not far behind the Markt Square but far enough to lose the touristy feel. read more

My wife and I went for dinner based on the Yelp reviews. This place hooks you as soon as you walk in. The smell of grilled beef fills the place. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We started with the Sopa de Carne and Empanada. The soup was good but the Empanada was burnt. I didn't really think either were worth the money. I'd skip the apps next time around. I got the mixed grill while my wife got the filet mignon with bernaise sauce. Both were outstanding. The only flaw was that some of my meat was cooked beyond the medium rare I requested. But it was still very good. The frites were tasty and the sauces that they provide for them were fantastic. We really enjoyed our visit. read more

My wife and I read that grilled meat is one of the specialties in Bruges that everyone must try. We dined on April 19 at El Churrasco and must say that they definitely did not disappoint us. We were first served fresh bread with 4 different sauces as condiments. We then had the Fillet Mignon and the Lamb Chops which were done to our liking and simply delicious. The main course came with Fries and Salad on the side. The service was efficient, they always ensured that we have everything that we need.
