AVOID THIS RESTAURANT if you do not want to ruin your Brugge experience facing astonishing rudeness from the owner-chef of this place!!!
Our family (2 adults, 7 year old boy and 16 months girl) was passing by this restaurant and decided to dine there on Easter evening, as all recommended restaurants around appeared to be fully booked and this restaurant was entirely empty, except one young couple sitting by the window. Usually, we'd never dine in an empty restaurant as this is not a good sign, but our son was so hungry.
We were greeted by the waiter, shown the table and we started placing quite a significant order. I asked politely if some food ordered for kids could be slightly adjusted for their taste (not too grilled, oily or salty), and suddenly a man of over 40 years old, who later informed us that he owns this place, made a comment that he is not going to adjust anything for our kids and if we do not like it we can "f*** off here!!". And he started shouting louder and louder, using slang and rude words, despite of the girl sleeping in the push chair!
It was like a bad dream, as the guy was insulting us with entirely insane look without any reason for that. All the waiters were standing in the distance looking at this situation emotionlessly (if you read it- shame on you, guys!)...
When the shock passed, I could think of several possible reasons for his behavior:
- the owner might be a nationalist;
- the owner might hate families with kids;
- the owner might have some mental problems.
So, based on all the above , I'd strongly recommend you to avoid visiting this restaurant as you can find yourself in the most uncomfortable, ridiculous and upsetting situation. read more
