    The triple madame

Okay I was absolutely blown away by this breakfast establishment. Yes the reviews looked absolutely amazing but I was expecting this to be a quick breakfast spot for tourists. We came here with no wait (arrived at 9:30am on a weekday morning). There's actually quite a bit of seating inside the shop. We tried a mix of hot and cold drinks. Standouts were the beetroot juice (not bitter at all with a nice sweet apple flavor) and the red velvet latte. Then we got three different types of savory toast. All three were amazing but my favorite was the triple madame. Such an amazing meal at a very fair price too! Highly recommend this place to start your day before exploring Bruges.

Picked this place because of the unique take on brunch and toast. I was all carbed out and ordered the sweet potato dish which was incredible. I can't even explain how creative and conscientious the food experience at Toast is. Very busy. Expect a wait. Not that loud inside which was nice. They have a small patio too. Many coffee options and used barista terms I hadn't heard of. FYI a long black is a shot of espresso in hot water. Learned something new! Bathroom is interesting and women have a stall with a door and guys have a sink and urinal behind a potted plant. lol.

One of the best restaurants! If you think toast for a meal is boring come here. They elevated the traditional menu. Sit down service that's casual. They have some fun decor. Go here if you are in Bruges!!!!

Delicious brunch at That's Toast! The eggs, halloumi, and mushroom sauce were full of flavor, the fresh toppings were perfect, and the coffee was great. Plus, the service was friendly and fast. We'll definitely be back!!

My fiancé and I arrived at 11am without a reservation (they don't do reservations, FYI - it's first-come first serve, which is the objectively fairest way of running a restaurant queue - don't @ me), and were quickly seated after the wait staff came to retrieve us from the front. Overall: definitely go here for a fantastic brekkie in Bruges. The high quality drinks and food, exemplary service, and overall intimate (without being crowded) vibe make this place easily recommendable. Quote from the Missus: "The bread quality is better than other places. Crunchy, but doesn't hurt your mouth eating it ". Her rating is 4.7/5. The menu is one-sided, on a large format poster board. To drink, my fiancé ordered a 'long black' and a 'going green' juice, and I ordered a red velvet latte. For food, she ordered a savory "the classic", and I ordered a sweet "triple French toast". Thoughts: um, does "nomnomyumyum" count? It was incredible! The matcha flavour came out well in the triple French, and it was clear that the classic was very well made - the one bite I had immediately told me that the quality of bread used in the toast was the reason they called it "that's toast". The drinks were presented beautifully (red velvet latte art is some real skill there), and were very tasty. Can't say much more besides "I'm impressed". I almost forgot - there's free Wi-Fi! Can't hate being able to use the internet to rave about how awesome your brekkie experience was.

Super yummy breakfast. Just read the multiple reviews already posted and know that "I agree"!!! :》 The portion sizes are big enough to share, but the drinks are petite.

A wonderful place to enjoy breakfast, inside or outside on the cute patio. Yes, they have toast and it is amazing! This place is rather busy yet super efficient and you'll be seated an enjoying freshly made juices and toasts to your liking in moments. Do try the hot chocolate if you are feeling extra indulgent as you start your day!

Headed here when visiting around Christmas for breakfast. They don't take reservations and there was a slight queue outside but it moved fast and I only waited about 15-20 minutes. The staff did walk around to assess group numbers and provide the menu in advance for those in line. They have a small front seating area and a back garden area, though in nicer weather they may also have tables out front. The staff was attentive and helpful but also let you enjoy your meal. Once inside, I was able to order quickly despite so many good options. I picked the Smokey and a cappuccino. The coffee was well made and came out in a timely fashion with the meal soon after. The salmon, avocado & capers toast was pretty large and you really only need 1 toast per person. If you were going for the large meals, maybe split that and a toast for 2 people, sides if your are really hungry. The dish was great, fresh items and crunchy toast. Definitely a place I'd visit again!

Ambiance was good, house turned to a caffe vibes, people working there talked English, that was very helpful, one of the best French toast I've ever had, my brother liked is all day breakfast, nothing fancy, just a comfort food, I would've liked my cappuccino bit stronger, other than that loved everything about this place!!

Came here for a nice little Christmas Eve breakfast! Cute little place, and it did not disappoint. Me and the girlfriend ordered the all day breakfast plate, and the classic. Just enough food to make us satisfied!

This was a wonderful breakfast with fresh ingredients. The meals were nicely prepared and presented. The service was quick and friendly. I would definitely eat here again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for "clean" and fresh food (healthier).

A cute little spot in the heart of Bruges! They use fresh, quality ingredients and seemed to have something for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed my latte macchiato and mushroom toast. The mushroom hummus was creamy and flavorful. My husband had the classic avocado toast and really liked it. The only miss for him was the Slutty Mary. The presentation was great and it looked good on paper but there was something that was way too sweet in it. Service was friendly and food was brought out quickly. A great breakfast spot if you're in Bruges!

I have been here twice in 2019 and now in 2021 I was able to return. Still a very cute and well decorated little place. Insta picture opportunities abound! Still super friendly service but be aware everything is made fresh and it will take a few minutes while each order is brought to the table when it is ready (not all at once for everyone) The menu has had some changes (Tartaar and Pumpkin were absent) and I did not notice any daily specials this time. My "go to" is The Classic Avocado toast. Definitely a must try for breakfast/brunch when visiting Brugge.

I'm so glad we decided to make the trek down to this place for brunch during our stay in Bruges…read more The whole concept is really cool because you probably can't go wrong with either books or brunch but together seems like an even better combination. Our server was a touch cold and aloof but it was ok because they provide you with a paper menu that you can check off what items you want. This is a fantastic concept and I really wish more places did this. Two of us ordered the bagel with hummus, zucchini, feta, olives, tomato, and cilantro. This was not only nice on the eyes, but it was delicious and packed with tons of veggies and healthy shit. I could not have had a better breakfast. GF ordered the omelette with toast and she liked it but it brought up that dilemma that's as old as time regarding whether or not she likes eggs. If you do, in fact, like eggs, this is probably a safe choice. The last in our party ordered the granola bowl with nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, and yogurt. This person is very hard to please but I do remember her being pleased by this dish. They also have a million other things like pancakes, waffles (duh), sandwiches, salads, a dish of the day, a pie of the day, and a bunch of yummy drinks. The environment is SO cozy and a great place to spend some time enjoying good food and a book.

I told the waitress I do not eat pork and she substituted the ham for cream cheese for the extensive breakfast. So often I have fruit salads with bad fruit, but everything tasted great! The ambience is wonderful. They have books in English and other languages where you can grab a book and enjoy your meal. It's a wonderful location to hang out and take a break. I will be retuning.
