Super cozy little nook away from the main streets. It's crazy busy, but we'll worth it. The staff are friendly and very good at helping you choose the right kind of coffee (they're all amazing). They do offer light snacks such as cakes and ham & cheese croissants. I wouldn't recommend it for the seating though. Hard, small wooden chairs and benches, and it's not dog friendly. read more

We love the hippie-rustic vibe. We went in for coffee to start the day and to escape the rain. It was a bit crowded because of the rain but we managed to find some bar seats along the wall. This is a cozy little place, friendly staff, easy ordering and fast service. Enjoyed the cappuccino and other coffee drinks but didn't try any pastry. Was saving our stomachs for waffles. A great spot for a pick-me-up in the heart of Bruges! The staff at EspressoBar welcome you in from the cold with a hot cup of coffee to warm you up or a jolt of espresso to get you back on your feet. The interior is narrow, but cozy, and filled with more than enough tables to accommodate everyone. I loved the personal touch with the chocolate lips! Looking for a hot cup of coffee or even a tea while walking the streets of Bruges. I had researched through Yelp of a coffee destination that would hopefully fill this desire for a warm beverage. Alas, the ExpressBar came up in my search and I was happy it was within a short walking distance. We walked in and the atmosphere was similar to a Starbucks with inside seating and a few chairs outside as well. We ordered a large latte after finding out they only take cash, and unfortunately we only had a few Euros left. After ordering they ask if you want your drink 'to stay' or 'for take away', we said to stay, but they mentioned if we wanted to sit inside we needed to order a drink for each person in our party.... what a bummer. With not having enough cash or order another drink we decided to take our chances and sit outside for a few minutes before venturing off around town. The Latte was pretty tasty at €4.00 for a large and by large I mean medium in America's standard, it was nice to have a hot drink without being on the go, but I did think it was overpriced. All in all, I was turned off that they only took cash and that we couldn't sit inside as the place was pretty much empty. Also no wifi for being a coffee bar, that was disappointment too. Here, coffee is excellent (wonderful strong expressos, but also lattes and special lattes such as tiramisu or amaretto). The shop is super comfy and you can stay for hours, especially since there is a free WiFi (not so common in Bruges!) The owners are adorable and can give you advice and directions to visit Bruges. Only 2 downsides: - The pastry selection is not very large - Pricing is a little bit excessive (4-6€ for a double expresso) All in all, go try it, it's worth it! read more

Legit the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Don't go here. Over priced shitty coffee. I asked for an iced coffee and got an iced latte and very nicely told them I can't have milk. And the response was "what's the problem?" I told them I can't have regular milk and rather than saying sorry you'll have to purchase something else or the correct response being sorry we'll make you a new one this man just starred at me. Most places in Bruges have no idea how to make a cappuccino. Way too often, it comes with a huge dollop of whipped cream and maybe a little coffee at the bottom. Espresso Bar I Love Coffee is the shining exception. Expertly prepared, lovely environment, very friendly baristas, by far the best place for coffee in Bruges. It also opens at 8:30 in the morning. This was the only place where they knew how to properly pull espresso shots and after wasting lots of euros on espresso elsewhere and throwing it out, we found ourselves coming back to this spot several times. Had a ridiculous experience there today as my wife ordered a quick coffee for sit in. Myself i didnt want anything. I was told I had to order something to be allowed sit with her. The place was over half empty. Coffee is very expensive as it is and average but with the attitude of management ruined our experience. So if she sat at a table of two by herself that would be fine?
