Recommended by our hotel for a place that serves typical local food, we wandered through the beautiful town of Bruges, hungry and curious. The place just opened but was already jam packed. Glad we had a reservation. We had a croquettes for a starter for €18 for two of them. One was still cold inside so the server took it away but never brought it back. After complaining he wanted to bring a new serving but I was glad we refused. The there was some giant portions coming our way. My wife had white asparagus, topped with chopped eggs, that came with a side of mashed potatoes. I had the rabbit stew, apple sauce and fries. The asparagus was cold ... again. She got a brand new plate after complaining. My stew was excellent but I couldn't finish cause it was so much. Overall the place is too pricey in my opinion but worth to visit again. Maybe next time the €18 croquettes are hot at least.

This could not be a more perfect place. The ambiance makes you feel like you're dining in a fairytale. The food is beyond amazing. The staff are kind and attentive. One of my most favorite meals/experiences of all time.

Looking for a cozy place in Bruges on a chilly winter night... This place caught my eye. Looks like a fairytale outside and inside- cobblestone walls and old wood. Smell of firewood inside. Waiters were completely accommodating to a traveling guy with no date on Valentine's weekend. The food is slow cooked by design. But worth the wait! Had the Belgium Beef stew and their recommended ale which was brewed within the Bruges city walls. Warmed me right up- this cozy little place. Beautiful experience! Would have pod dearly to have my wife with me!

Delicious mussels and the Flemish Beef stew was great, paired with the Bourgogne de Flandres beer!

A Lucky find We found this Restaurant after reading a leaflet in the hotel lobby and because the leaflet offered a free Glass of Champagne with every meal we thought we would give it a go (Anything for nothing!!) We were not dissapointed and it has since become one of my favourite restaurants, not only in Brugge but in the World! Its difficult to find, hidden down a back street, but its well worth the hunt! The restaurant is a tradtional Belgian eaterie serving traditional food. Whilst its only very small, its intimate and cosy rather than being crowded. The food is home cooking at its best We ate Traditional Belgian Beef Stew, which is Beef that has been slow cooked in Beer with Caramelised Onions. Its simple but stunning. It was served in a huge Cast iron pot and the portions were enough to feed a family of 5!! The stew came with traditional Belgian fries, cooked to perfection and oddly Apple Sauce which went really well as an accompniment. We ordered from the Tourist menu, a three course menu at a set price and whilst some Tourist Menu's are overpriced and lack substance this one was amongst the best. I would without a doubt return to this restaurant if I return to Brugge.

Very popular and super cute. They really pack you in, so be prepared to be very close to your neighbors. I went with the goulash and it was very tasty, but huge. It would be good for sharing. For one person it would be nice if it were smaller and cheaper. Definitely good, but not amazing.

Quaint restaurant. Nothing to write home about. Drink beer here. Eat elsewhere. Menus on iPads? Nice town though and people were friendly.

We enjoyed a lovely Christmas Eve dinner here. Sat near the fireplace. Delicious beef stew. Enormous portions.

It checked all the boxes I was looking for - local Belgian cuisine, affordable, close by, and open late. Exactly what you want after a long day of drinking Belgian beers. I didn't realize ribs were such a big deal in Belgium, so I was genuinely excited when I ordered them... only to feel deep disappointment when the server returned to let me know they had just sold out. Luckily, I pivoted to the vol-au-vent and had absolutely no regrets. The chicken was moist and creamy, and the pastry was incredibly flaky and light. Naturally, I paired it with a Trappist ale, which felt mandatory. Cozy, satisfying, and quintessentially Belgian--this spot lived up to the recommendation and then some.

The waiters were very nice and helpful, making recommendations that proved to be amazing!

However do not let this deter you. They are highly efficient and have a system therefore the wait goes fast. Just be sure to be situationally aware. It's along a busy street where a lot of horse carriage rides transit, so don't hang out in the street. Also, be mindful to step aside once you place your order (probably to the left facing the order window, but do not block the walkway that allows the employees to deliver your order. They call out your number and it's hot and fresh. There was no room to sit on the steps/stoops so I stood and enjoyed my waffle. Personally, I feel like one Belgian waffle is sufficient to share between 2 people because it's rich and really sweet if you get the chocolate one. While I enjoyed it and the presentation was excellent, the waffle was very dense and really chewy. But I think that's how they are since it's made from yeast based dough. It's definitely worth the try, just too sweet and too chewy for my preference. Staff were very friendly and kind as well!!

The beers here are amazing with over 20+ on tap there is something for everyone - and some must try Trappist beers. I absolutely loved this spot. Only reason for not having 5 stars? The service. Although the place was relatively crowded, it was not very crazy at all especially when we first came in after opening and the staff behind the bar were kind of rude. I asked for a flight and they seemed annoyed they had to make one instead of just pouring 1 beer, and i was reading the menu and didn't have all my numbers ready to fire off - more upset. Additionally, my wife and I sat down at the bar about 1 hour after the place opened and we both had glass all over our chairs and now in our bottoms. The bartender was annoyed when my wife asked him to clean it - he said some glass thing exploded there before opening... so you didn't clean it? And then were annoyed customers had glass in their pants? make that make sense.
