As an American, I was hesitant to try a burger joint in Belgium, but the reviews were good enough that I thought it'd be fine. I even liked the fact they serve poutine. I mean, no one can screw up gravy on fries! The meal was just OK, I'm afraid. I'm spoiled as an American, and it was underscored by a beef patty that was undersized with texture that more resembled turkey or lamb more than USDA prime. I ordered the Red Hot Chili, which was more like the medium hot chili with toppings that felt more like a pico than chili. Even the pickle on the side underwhelmed. The first few bites of poutine satisfied, but as I dug down simply became fries, because the restaurant went pretty light on the toppings. By the end of the meal, I was longing for a burger from Five Guys or In-N-Out or even Chili's to help me forget this mistake. The beer selection, however, satisfies, which is worth one star all by itself. Long live Belgium, but God Bless America. read more
