In comparison to some of the other collectives that I have been to, SPARC is top notch and it is apparent that they take pride in providing exceptional customer service. From the rewards programs to the member services offered (no-cost acupuncture and chair message), I feel fortunate to have access to these amenities. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. I have never had such a bad experience in my over 10 years living in US! There is guy who speaks some Chinese turned out to be super rude and nasty! We drove all the way from LA to SF and thought to stop by at one of the local dispensary. After we were told by the cashier they have another store location nearby what has more selections, we decided to rush over. We made to the store about 5 min before they close so we knew we had to be quick. My friend basically took two cartridges while I was asking if they might have some topicals. As a male cashier tried to answer the question, this Asian fellow basically cut in by saying we had to either pay or leave. We told the guy it's just about 10pm and you could spare us with few more minutes since we just got there and will fly out tomorrow am. But this guy just wouldn't stop pushing us to leave as he would not live for another day. We didn't say much but paid two cartridges plus a small bottle of oil. Only after we paid over $140 cash then we realized there was one unwanted item included in our bill. When I asked for refund, the cashier seemed to feel sorry for the mistake and wanted to help, but this very same asian guy came to us and simply ordered us to leave by telling us to "Get the F* out of here or do you want me to call the police". We were very shocked by how rude this guy is and felt whether we have walked into a "SLAUGHTER HOUSE". When I walked out the store, I looked at my phone and it was only 10:03. That means we have only spent less than 8 mintues total in the store including registraton time and had over 100 purchase! Obviously we walked out this place without any refund. When I got into my car I also found out they DIDN'T even give me the RECEIPT! How could that ever be acceptable? I feel this kind of rudeness should never be tolerated in anyway! Really great operation they're running here! They have it down; the nice brick and mortar store downtown, the super convenient delivery service, and amazing staff members for both! So first of all this spot is literally across the street from the welfare office. So it's definitely a bit sketch for a Boutique dispensary. It's got lots of volcanoes but they seemed like it was a good wait to use one. I wasn't trilled with the selection of flowers concentrates or edibles. The price range was also pretty high. The staff is hit or miss one young lady in particular was screaming obscenities and racial slurs at someone in a car outside. Then walked inside to work. Just a odd experience to see. There a lot of good pot clubs in SF but SPARC seems to be the only one with decent discount buds. I usually find 1/8th's under $50 in other clubs to be dry, weak, harsh...etc. SPARC has a good selection of outdoor and indoor strains under $50 that are quality. Good THC %, fresh & stanky!!! I picked up an 1/8 of J27 hydrid and it was like top shelf stuff in other clubs. They have a huge selection in general and all their product is bagged with the bud name, strain, THC %... The place is real nice too. Very organized, modern stylie, great staff and a rewards program!!! I haven't been back enough to reap the benefits of that but they seem to have a good business model going. The area it's in is semi ghetto but definitely not as bad as it used to be. Extremely clean, professional and helpful. Even the 'bouncer' guy at the front door was friendly and helpful. The staff are more than happy to start talking to you as soon as you're spotted. If you're like me and still learning about the different strains, having someone explain them to you while you look was definitely needed. My husband and I have been coming here for years. It's not my husbands fav but I prefer Sparc because of their selection. I have definitely noticed a shift in the staff. Door guys have always been super cool as well as the employees at the check in counter. Then you get to deal with the bud tenders. Rude rude rude pretentious and rude. Why?? They are not better than anyone else and WE HAVE CHOICES! So today (8/18/19) my husband and I came in to purchase a cartridge and some mints. A blonde in a baggy shirt was the bud tender and acted like my husband had farted in line. Her answer to most of his questions were "I don't know". how about "let me find out for you"? She was also super helpful with her knowledge of Petra mints (said with sarcasm). Because my husband is a smartass, he changed his mind on the mints 4 times. You act like a jerk....people treat you like a jerk. Again, we have a choice. Why would I pay for crappy attitudes when I live in a city FULL of dispensaries. This is not the first this has happened. The icing on the cake......as we were leaving we hear someone yell "Hey". The entire place turned to see what was going on. It was the blonde YELLING AT A HANDICAP GENTLEMAN. He was trying to look in the case and she told him "all the cases are the same" I walked out shaking my head. SPARC is in a great location just off The Wiggle, making it easily accessible to cyclists. Parking is no easy feat though they do validate (with purchase) at a garage a few blocks away. The staff is professional and knowledgeable about their products. You never feel rushed talking to them. I have had some great recommendations from Casey, Perry, and Bobby. Their bud is admittedly on the pricier side but it is quality stuff. Good selection of edibles as well. SPARC truly keeps me coming back because of their patient resources. Complimentary tea while enjoying the well maintained vape lounge. Free massage and acupuncture. Jazz Night and Bingo Night that bring together a wonderful community of people. I love this place! The people who work there are super knowledgeable, nice, and will spend all the time necessary to answer all your questions. They are well-stocked and have quite a few CBD products. They give discounts for acupuncture at Quan Yin and their onsite, 10-minute, free massage is with a really good massage therapist. I am so very impressed by SPARC. There is such an abundance of clubs in the city and I rarely seek out new clubs. I am quite happy with my few favorites. However, a friend of mine was raving about this place and I had to check it out. It is like no other club. I really got the feeling that I was buying medicine in a pharmacy. The interior is clean and spacious and zen empty. The workers are professional and kind. Every day a $30 8th is offered. The medicine is pre weighed and cultivated by the club itself. The club even has its own lab to test the medicine. There is such a variety of buds, hash, kief, tincture, edibles, oils... SPARC also feels like a community, classes in health, meditation, and arts are offered, and a patient card is given to you, and you receive $25 off after spending $250. I feel very positive about SPARC, and I would recommend SPARC to any patient. read more

I've been in SPARC 2x since my last review. I try to give places such as this a chance to improve (a few years ago level of service/support better). As a medical card holder for over 11yrs. (back when there were only 2 cards available:SF county & Alameda county & you had to get renewed every 6 months! a lot has changed in the medical cannabis industry since then. A lot of good dispensaries run by truly good hearted people here to really offer help to real patients. So, it was with an open heart I gave SPARC another shot on 4/20. Needed to be in SF for volunteer gig anyways, so I figured I'd check out the "specials" they'd emailed to me. First thing I noticed was security-didn't recognize person (new?). He informs me that since I've got a renewed card, I need to check-in w/the counter people first. I go in to find a row of people seated to the left, I figure they're "note only" people- no worries, right? WRONG! The guy at the counter informs me that instead of just updating my info on the SPARC system (as they usually did) he would have to verify my renewed Alameda County issued medical I.D. by looking it up on their website. Could I please wait just a minute (as he motions me over to the line of people in chairs)? WTF? You have an authentic Alameda County issued I.D. w/my Dr's license number & my picture on it! No other club that I go to required this redundancy. Fine, I figure "how long could it take to look it up on the PIDC website?" -15 minutes later....... He finally motions to me & hands my card back, "Good to go!" - No sh*t sherlock! Finally, I get to the 20- something "budtender" (again didn't recognize a single employee), he informs me they are out of the 1/8 special: buy one get one free. On 420?!!! What kind of mickey mouse business is this? It's only 11:30am!! Fine. Again. He leads me towards a cold water hash that's on special (the more expensive of 2), I pick the bit cheaper version because it's more Indica-which is what I'd informed him I was looking for. It was Key Lime hash. And it was not very good. After one hit it gets very harsh. I still have it! In closing, the only time you'll find me @SPARC is when my regular dispensaries in Oakland (Magnolia Wellness-I love you guys!) are out of the edibles that I need (CBD). As SF gentrifies even further, I envision the dispensaries there will become less patient focused & more $$$ focused. Cannot wait for legalization & regulation! I was pleasantly surprised to find this clean, efficient, and hip dispensary not far from my own neighborhood in SF. I found everyone from the security and front desk staff to the bud tenders to be very friendly and professional. SPARC has an amazing array of services that I plan to take advantage of, now that I'm a member, including $5 acupuncture, free massage, meditation and ayurvedic counseling! I thought their vape section was very nice, with a "coffee shop" sort of feeling. Although I don't smoke cannabis using edibles in very small doses helps me through joint pain and sleep issues. I have a very low tolerance to THC and an even lower tolerance for processed sugary foods, so finding an edible that I can use and enjoy everyday can be challenging. As a bonafide foodie I was pleasantly surprised to find what has become my NEW favorite edible, called Mahjoun Jam. It's a "1000 year old recipe" from Morocco with a high potency, and flavors and texture that are divine! I like the savory not too sweet taste and all the spices speak to the foodie in me. I also love that the ingredients are super clean and healthy, something difficult to find in the sea of sugary-sweet edibles out there :) I have a very low tolerance and am on a somewhat limited budget so when I discovered I could divide the $24 package into 20 doses (10mg each) I could not resist. One dose leaves me medicated for about 5 hours which is a very good thing, especially for sleep. Did I happen to mention that the Mahjoun is lab tested?! What an amazing mecca for care! My first time I was welcomed in with open arms -- friendly faces, helpful staff, and a beautiful facility. It didn't make me feel like I was doing some shady deal, but that I was in the right place for what I needed. Their choice is medications is top-notch. For me, the edibles -- especially the selection of chocolates and other fixes for those with a sweet tooth -- were amazing. I had a staff member/budtender named Erez who knew his stuff and really helped me figure out what was the best way to medicate for me. Thanks Erez! I guess I'm a fan, but there are a couple places I like much better than SPARC. The space is awesome - hip, well-lit, use of the Volcanoes and complimentary tea are all great. They also have a large selection and I want to believe their testing #s are right. For product and atmosphere alone, it's 5 stars all the way. The extra services they offer range from fun to really beneficial. But, there are a few things that I don't like about this place. When I first joined, they totally messed up that rewards purchase thing they offer (great idea!). But when I mentioned that they'd messed something up (like resetting my account balance after spending over 200 bucks), they didn't do anything to fix it. The guy wrote down my number, but it never went anywhere, and I just dropped it. 2nd, I get that they pre-package things so they know how they are doing on product, but I'm not a fan of the extra packaging (the top-shelf comes in a glass container that knocks the price up alone). Also, no breakdown between a gram and an eighth. Some people don't think that's a big deal, but I like flexibility. 3rd I feel like their prices are just too high for a place considering the product I get is always super dry, probably from sitting in a sort-of airtight container in a mystery box for who-knows-how-long. The prices are also pre-tax, so you are adding 8% or so to everything you buy, which makes every purchase travel from somewhat pricey to downright expensive. The last two times I was surprised at how long the line was. I will say that the door staff (particularly the bunch outside) are extremely professional and friendly, and I usually get decent to above average service from the budtenders. Biking down Mission St at 630 pm after a session of vaporizing is one of the more disorienting things I've ever done though. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

So my experience with signing the paperwork and getting my fancy schmancey Sparc Card was all of 5 minutes when i first walked in... Others who speak of it being a long process either have no patience or were just unlucky enough to be there on a really busy day.... I would give this place at least 4 stars based on their selection of buds and hash... The variety is very good, and the pricing is highly competitive because SPARC grows 90+% of their stuff themselves (or so they say). The outdoor selection makes this place the best deal on Ounces in town... 175 for HeadBand that could easily be mistaken for indoor to the untrained eye... BlueDream thats 21.9% THC and even better than their indoor BD. One thing i will say, if you are looking for some really stinky sticky super chronic top shelf stuff, i would recommend walking up the street a few blocks to GreenDoor where the prices on 1/8's of top shelf are actually much better (Oz's are cheaper at SPARC tho!) The clones on the other hand are the sole reason I am giving them 3 stars instead of 4 or even 5... THERE CLONES F@#$%&G SUCK!!! The methods and the materials they use are subpar to every other clone i have ever bought from a club in my life!... I only have experience with 3 other clubs clones, but when you get clones from BlueSky that cost all of 3 dollars more a piece and are of the utmost quality, i just cant justify ever buying clones from here again until they change there methods and materials... BOTTOM LINE: CLONES SUCK (Short and have rotting roots), Outdoor Buds are a crazy deal for the price, and many of them are top notch strains... Top shelf stuff is good quality, but just never seems to have the smell or aesthetic quality's I'm used to getting when paying $55 for an eighth of top shelf... Taking the dispensary to the whole next level, Sparc offers a completely different experience for buying medical cannabis. This upscale, somewhat pricey dispensary carries high end product and high end service. Definitely catering to a specific clientele, the clean look and feel isn't exactly my style but appreciated for what it is. Favorite things about Sparc include their delivery services to all of SF. They have a great selection of items on their delivery menu, though more limited than On Point. They also carry Foria! A huge help for me and the delivery has saved me on multiple occasions. I do like that their concentrates come in reusable rubber containers. So much better than wasting your dabs on the crevices of a small glass jar. Unfortunately, I order so frequently, I know have a TON of Sparc rubber containers and not as many dabs ;) Sparc, you're all right. read more

I went in for 1 pre-roll, had to wait to be registered again, then I asked for the $10 pre-roll which ended up almost $20 after tax which I planned to pay no more than 10. The club itself felt like an upscale pharmacy which Im not to sure if I'm a fan of just yet. Modern and sterile. Oh, and they're also a medical cannabis club that looks nothing like what it is. I'll level with you - I've been to a lot of clubs in my day and they all have me looking over my shoulder expecting a bust at any moment. Not so with SPARC - the whole thing reeks (pardon the pun) of a professional, medical establishment. Kansas this is not. Killer music, ambient lighting, and a row of vaporizers to boot. $28 for medicine gave me the opposite of sticker shock - the only thing I love more than a good bathroom is a great deal. To put things into perspective, I have friendly conversations with the security person at the door, every time - not just the budtenders. I've read some reviews here saying that the prices are a bit steep, and for a few items, I would agree. They do also have a few items that are priced lower than other places. It'll always pay off to be an informed buyer here, especially when more and more dispensaries are posting their menus online, as sparc does. In my opinion, the selection they provide and customer rewards makes the experience worth it. They have a ton of edibles to choose from, including the 2nd most powerful edible I've encountered in the city yet. The concentrates selection is also wonderful - they offer both blends and top shelf. The flower selection I've found, is vast and comparable to the green door in its variety and quantity. Sun open at noon, there was a line of 10 people! The greeter was so friendly, easy and quick and painless check in. My friend is a member and went with me, we both got free cheap gram of indica or sativa for 1st time and referral. I went with the famous Green Dragon at 22% THC was strong, coated with kief and very cottony. Effect was head strong and happy is worth the top shelf price. The bud tenders were quick and efficient in moving the line. I wanted to ask questions, but Anthony kept looking at the long line and giving me very short answers to my questions, so I kind of got the hint. Frequent buyer program, spend $250 and get $25 gift card, free gram on birthday.
