How can a 2020 vehicle kept in a garage, with maintenance done as required, and 45K miles, suddenly have an electrical issue that causes the vehicle to sporadically stop and have 'check engine' light issues with a service department that just can't find the problem? Charging $165/hr for labor to go step by step through " pages and pages" of possible causes while under a 6 year full warranty (costing $1200) that 'may not' apply if its corrosion or this or that - are you kidding me?????? The warranty does not cover diagnostics for major issues like the vehicle not starting on a random basis? What a scam and dis-service from a supposed service department. Disgusting excuses for a dealership that claims to be customer oriented. Never will step inside a Subaru dealership again. read more

I totally disagree with the negative reviews. This dealership has gone above and beyond, and is the first time I encountered a dealership that has been genuinely nice and helpful. read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. This place is just one big money scheme. They don't care about you OR your car. THEY HUSSLE YOU!! ONE BIG SCAM!! They replaced things I DID NOT ask for. Promise me, literally ANYWHERE else would give you a better experience. read more

I bought a CPO used Outback from them last month. This was a cash deal with no trade so pretty simple. It was a very different experience than I've had elsewhere as there was no pressure. I saw the car online with a good price so contacted them to verify. Arranged to see it a few days later and when I got there they had it sitting near the front door. It was a bit dirty but otherwise good. After taking it for a test drive I said that I would take it. (I really didn't negotiate much as the advertised price was good.) Instead of doing the deal they said to put down a deposit and come back in a few days so they could clean up the car. So I did the deposit ($200) and came back the next week. The car was cleaned up and the deal was done. They did go through and offer a bunch of extras but it wasn't pushy. I did get the Starlink subscription so that I could remote start the car from my phone. read more

Purchased a 2019 legacy on October 15th. Battery died at least 3 times. Twice they said it checked out just to die again in approximately a month then they changed it out and told me one time that I didn't drive it enough. So the following year the car battery died I jumped it and let it run for about an 1/2 hour. The next day I went and started it and nothing. Apron research it found that many people are stating the same problem as mine. There is actually a class action law suit against the Subaru batteries. Now January 15 2023 my battery totally died I had guy come down and picked it up after I jumped started it. They took it to Spangler Subaru called me apx 5 hours later and said once again that they checked it and it tested good. Now I have to purchase a non Subaru battery. read more

Let me start by saying that I got a better deal getting my vehicle fixed here rather than Stuckey's in Duncansville. That's the good part. Also the service staff was generally friendly and helpful. Here's the bad part.....my car was a mess inside when I got it back. There were grease stains everywhere, on the seats, on the inside of door, and on the floor. I know that they took my vehicle for multiple test drives when determining why it was stalling but it seems very little care was taken in keeping it clean inside. Doesn't seem right that after paying all that money to have car fixed that I also had to scrub out the grease stains in the interior. read more

Thank you! I cannot say enough good things about the people at Spangler Subaru. When our car broke down on a trip from Philly to Pittsburgh, they gave us an overnight loaner so we could get to our family event in Pittsburgh that night. They also gave us realistic advice about our options to repair the car. Super people, super place - if we didn't live so far away, we'd seriously consider buying our next car from them. read more

Mark Neeson & Denise Diehl were the reason I bought from Spangler. Informative, attention to detail, willing to answer a zillion questions via phone & text, friendly, warm & welcoming. I was talking with friends, not sales reps. Might I mention, my insurance dropped $600 due to safety ratings on the 2019 Outback. Would I recommend? In a heart beat!!! Go in ask for Mark, you won't be disappointed. read more

I cannot say enough good about the Spangler Dealership and especially their Service Department. I had my 2014 Forester in for a problem with the AC. The Service Advisor told me that a leak was found in the condenser. After the Technician fixed the problem I wasn't handed a bill! It was a "good faith repair under an old warranty"" as was explained to me. That saved me a lot of bucks!! As this was my first vehicle I purchased from Spangler's, I will certainly be seeing them again when I'm ready to buy my next one. read more

Called to verify price over the phone for a part. Went up was told a whole different price when I verified twice over the phone. Did inspection on my vehicle without my consent. Went up for 1 small fix of wipers, waited over an hour and 15 minutes for wipers! Was told I needed changes to my fluids. Umm, excuse me, I just got them changed last month. Showed them the DATE of fluids, they stated "oops, I read it wrong". Did not go up for inspection on my fluids or anything else, went up for wipers. Was told a quick 15 minute job turned into and hour and half. Lastly, noticed when I got home the paperwork that I "signed" for wipers was NOT my information but someones name, address, number, and email. Just because their name is popular SPANGLER SUBARU, I would not recommend. 1 mishap, that's okay. Things happen. But, not 1, 2, 3, and 4 screw ups. read more

Spangler Subaru is a great dealership. I have leased and bought four cars from them over the years and have found Spangler's sales persons to be helpful, honest and personable. The service department also is really good and their quick oil change and safety inspection lane is a real improvement. Good facility, good sales people, good service, good product. I have bought many Subaru vehicles ( over 10) and this is the best dealership I have ever had the pleasure of working with. read more

I leased a 2018 Crosstrek with Spangler Subaru in October and couldn't be happier with the experience and my new car! I found Jared to be very relatable. I appreciated speaking to someone closer to my age. Anyway, the experience (3 times I visited) with him and his associates was flawless and enjoyable. He presented all the info in a very causal, entertaining way, yet he never once tried to over sell anything. I felt very comfortable and relaxed during the whole process. I wanted a specific color which they didn't have, but they had no problem finding me that car fairly quickly and scheduling an appointment to pick it up in the very limited time frame that I was home. I fall more and more in love with my car every day, and all the extra features are well worth the price. However, their leasing is extremely affordable and suits my lifestyle. Don't think I'll ever be able to live without these luxuries. Thank you Jared and Spangler! You really helped me to upgrade my life! read more

Spangler Subaru - Car Dealers Near Me - Johnstown, Pennsylvania

Our family purchased 3 vehicles from Spanglers within a few months. The sales staff and management treated us extremely well. George, our salesman, was very courteous. Forrie and his son could not have been nicer. However, my seats and door were soiled with grease the last two times I had my Forester serviced there. I did discuss this with Forrie, but cannot in good faith return there for service. Both other family members will do so as I have not influenced them. The dealership itself is very clean. My car was not. read more

What a great dealership and car servicing center which gives me one more great reason to take pride in being a Subaru owner!!!! I have been dealing with Spangler for about two years now with three Subarus and have yet to notice a flaw in this business. I bought my second Subaru off off this place and would've bought the others but were unable to obtain my desired vehicle on their lot. We all know and loathe the kill of the sale that most crooked dealerships salesman pun about but not here. They genuinely want you to be happy and walk away with rock bottom price on your dream machine!!! The service transcends top notch. On this day i had an unscheduled oil change which. Took 20 min. Thats right....20 min!!!! The time it would take you to wait in a greasy burger pull up window..WOW!!!! The shop is impeccably clean with a lavish waiting area which sorry to say...I barely got to know!!!! The employees are super nice and knowledgeable and eager to help you with any need. This is one great reason why i will continue to own a Subie....and the fact i like bad ass speed!!!!! read more

Called service department to inquire about installing a remote starter. After a few minutes of asking questions, I was told that I was wasting his time. Since this is optional service (I can go elsewhere), this does not seem to be the way you should talk to a potential customer. read more

I have now bought 2 different vehicles from Spangler and could not be more pleased with their service. Garrett is a spectacular salesperson who is down to earth and very easy to deal with. They have offered me, by far and away, the highest trade in value for my car compared to other dealerships, and work with you to get the best possible interest rate with the bank and a quality loan. I even had a problem with the first vehicle I purchased from them, and without hesitation, they repaired it for free, as well as covering the 50 mile towing charge and a rental car while it was being repaired. They have made a lifelong customer here. read more
