How can a 2020 vehicle kept in a garage, with maintenance done as required, and 45K miles, suddenly have an electrical issue that causes the vehicle to sporadically stop and have 'check engine' light issues with a service department that just can't find the problem? Charging $165/hr for labor to go step by step through " pages and pages" of possible causes while under a 6 year full warranty (costing $1200) that 'may not' apply if its corrosion or this or that - are you kidding me?????? The warranty does not cover diagnostics for major issues like the vehicle not starting on a random basis? What a scam and dis-service from a supposed service department. Disgusting excuses for a dealership that claims to be customer oriented. Never will step inside a Subaru dealership again. read more

I bought a CPO used Outback from them last month. This was a cash deal with no trade so pretty simple. It was a very different experience than I've had elsewhere as there was no pressure. I saw the car online with a good price so contacted them to verify. Arranged to see it a few days later and when I got there they had it sitting near the front door. It was a bit dirty but otherwise good. After taking it for a test drive I said that I would take it. (I really didn't negotiate much as the advertised price was good.) Instead of doing the deal they said to put down a deposit and come back in a few days so they could clean up the car. So I did the deposit ($200) and came back the next week. The car was cleaned up and the deal was done. They did go through and offer a bunch of extras but it wasn't pushy. I did get the Starlink subscription so that I could remote start the car from my phone. read more

Purchased a 2019 legacy on October 15th. Battery died at least 3 times. Twice they said it checked out just to die again in approximately a month then they changed it out and told me one time that I didn't drive it enough. So the following year the car battery died I jumped it and let it run for about an 1/2 hour. The next day I went and started it and nothing. Apron research it found that many people are stating the same problem as mine. There is actually a class action law suit against the Subaru batteries. Now January 15 2023 my battery totally died I had guy come down and picked it up after I jumped started it. They took it to Spangler Subaru called me apx 5 hours later and said once again that they checked it and it tested good. Now I have to purchase a non Subaru battery. read more

Let me start by saying that I got a better deal getting my vehicle fixed here rather than Stuckey's in Duncansville. That's the good part. Also the service staff was generally friendly and helpful. Here's the bad part.....my car was a mess inside when I got it back. There were grease stains everywhere, on the seats, on the inside of door, and on the floor. I know that they took my vehicle for multiple test drives when determining why it was stalling but it seems very little care was taken in keeping it clean inside. Doesn't seem right that after paying all that money to have car fixed that I also had to scrub out the grease stains in the interior. read more

I cannot say enough good about the Spangler Dealership and especially their Service Department. I had my 2014 Forester in for a problem with the AC. The Service Advisor told me that a leak was found in the condenser. After the Technician fixed the problem I wasn't handed a bill! It was a "good faith repair under an old warranty"" as was explained to me. That saved me a lot of bucks!! As this was my first vehicle I purchased from Spangler's, I will certainly be seeing them again when I'm ready to buy my next one. read more

Called to verify price over the phone for a part. Went up was told a whole different price when I verified twice over the phone. Did inspection on my vehicle without my consent. Went up for 1 small fix of wipers, waited over an hour and 15 minutes for wipers! Was told I needed changes to my fluids. Umm, excuse me, I just got them changed last month. Showed them the DATE of fluids, they stated "oops, I read it wrong". Did not go up for inspection on my fluids or anything else, went up for wipers. Was told a quick 15 minute job turned into and hour and half. Lastly, noticed when I got home the paperwork that I "signed" for wipers was NOT my information but someones name, address, number, and email. Just because their name is popular SPANGLER SUBARU, I would not recommend. 1 mishap, that's okay. Things happen. But, not 1, 2, 3, and 4 screw ups. read more

I leased a 2018 Crosstrek with Spangler Subaru in October and couldn't be happier with the experience and my new car! I found Jared to be very relatable. I appreciated speaking to someone closer to my age. Anyway, the experience (3 times I visited) with him and his associates was flawless and enjoyable. He presented all the info in a very causal, entertaining way, yet he never once tried to over sell anything. I felt very comfortable and relaxed during the whole process. I wanted a specific color which they didn't have, but they had no problem finding me that car fairly quickly and scheduling an appointment to pick it up in the very limited time frame that I was home. I fall more and more in love with my car every day, and all the extra features are well worth the price. However, their leasing is extremely affordable and suits my lifestyle.
