Horrible service , over charged and messed my steering wheel up and wanted me to pay to get it fix

ClI took my car to carmens in Sept 2023 for 4 brand new tires. I had an appointment at 8am didn't get in til 9am and had to wait 7hrs to leave. Then they didn't celebrate my sensor for the tires now when there low the back light on my dashboard goes to the front tire. They did this to all of them I called they want to charge me more for the mess. They were very rude ignored me when I got into the shop a 1st time customer. I will never go there again. read more

They took care of mom. She had a puncture and got there close to closing time and they went above and beyond to get her back on the road. When mom's happy, we're happy. read more

The woman who works there is very sarcastic. My 1st time here and it's not off to a great start. Not even a hello 1st ...She asked why I was there. (I had scheduled an appt so she should be aware I was there for an alignment) i responded an alignment. Well why do you think you need one? I recently replaced all 4 tires and it's pulling to the left and it's slightly shaking when I go over 60 mph. She responded by saying I know no one here told you an alignment would fix that shake so that's an incorrect statement. 1st of all I didn't say anyone here said that.. i was answering her question as to why I was here. Don't appreciate the immediate attitude, she was acting like I was lying about the reason I was there . Apparently this Business seems to think customer service isn't a big thing. It's funny everyone who came after me were white males and they were greeted with good morning and how may I help you. They would say why they were there and all she did was ask for their keys.. no 3rd degree questions . There was 1 black man that came in and he was given the 3rd degree about the services he wanted too. So if I'm not mistaken seems she has problem with black people (fyi I am a black woman) . I give them a 2 because they actual work was ok but customer service sucked! read more

Two different mechanics told me they believed Carman's may be responsible for my cracked rim after they changed my tire, which could have caused a catastrophic blowout. When I called them, I was gruffly told that there was no way they could have caused the crack, because they know how to do their job. They said aluminum rims sometime crack, but they would just seal it if they saw it. How do you 'seal' cracked aluminum? I would think they would at least want to look at my rim, but the guy said he's not doing anything. This is a huge liability, one that they don't take seriously. read more

I just purchased tires from Carman's for the first time, and am very happy with their service. First, the price I paid was exactly the price I was quoted on the phone. Second, they did not try to upsell me with any of the nonsense that some other service centers engage in (alignment, belts, etc.). Third, they were able to take me on the same day I called and finished the job when they said they would (about 2 hours). Finally, they had double-sold the tires I was quoted a price for and asked for, and they substituted a more expensive tire (Goodyear) at the lower price. The service was good and friendly, with no funny business. I will certainly be back and will recommend them in the future. read more

This business has good products and does good maintenance but the woman behind the counter was very rude to an older gentleman in front of us then rolled her eyes at my wife and I when I failed to answer her as quickly as she apparently wanted me too....so not really sure how to rate it read more

I was extremely displeased with the service I received here. Last winter I went to Carmen's for two new tires. Two months after getting those tires, during inclement weather, I lost control of my car. After parking, I found that one of my brand new tires had blown. I assumed I ran over something, but upon returning to Carmen's the next day, I was informed that my tire blew because my car needed an alignment and that the other NEW tire I purchased at there would also need replaced. I explained to the woman that works there numerous times that I had just purchased the tires from their garage, she treated me as if I were lying. While they were replacing the bad tires, I found my receipt and took it back to show the woman that the tires should be fine. She explained to me in a very demeening tone that it was MY fault because my car needed an alignment. Now I may be crazy for assuming such a thing, but to me it seems like a place that specializes in TIRES AND ALIGNMENTS should be able to tell when a car needs aligned. I will NEVER visit Carmen's for any vehicle service again and do not recommend them to anyone. read more

Went to Carman's to have 2 front tires changed and waited over an hour from they pulled it in to it was done. I thought it was odd that it took so long, but figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Come to find later that I now have a bent rim, so I call them and they say to bring the car in. The service guy looks at it and tells me that I hit a pot hole, yet there's no scratch in the paint on the wheel, just a dent that looks like it happened when force was applied from the inside out by tire changing equipment. I just calmly ask if there wouldn't be scratches if I hit a pothole? The service guy goes and gets the manager. The manager, a not so nice guy named Sam, comes out all fired up and won't even look at the damage, but just tells me in a very rude way that he is not going to help me and that I can just leave. He looked like he was ready to fight me, staring me down. I try to ask him a question and he won't answer me but just turns around and slams the garage door behind him! Really?!? I would NEVER go back there and I would not recommend you do either. In my view, they could care less about the customer. NEVER AGAIN! I will go to Dumbauld's Tire Service in Somerset instead. They are great guys who care about their customers, unlike Carman's. read more
