Having a warranty on your vehicle means that most times you will have to have it serviced at a dealership. I am usually not keen on doing this as I am accustomed to going to a local garage that I have used prior. But, like I said, I had a warranty and the work feel under the warranty and I was told to go to a authorized Chevrolet dealership. I have been past here on many occasions, but never even thought twice about looking at this business. I hate car shopping and I am surprised that there are so many dealerships out there. However I was lucky to not have to shop. I called ahead of time to set up my appointment and surprisingly was in for the work within two days. The reason I wasn't in the next day was because I had to wait for the part to be delivered. The check in process was really easy, only a few forms to sign and my car was in for service. The customer service here was top notch. They made sure that I was comfortable before proceeding with my work. Now, you have two options here. You can sit and wait, or you can take a short walk to the nearby plaza and be called when you vehicle is finished. I opted for a little bit of both. I was heading to work after my appointment here so I decided to dash over to the plaza quickly and pick up some snacks for my lunch. I did give my cell number just in case they needed to get in touch with me while I was gone. After my quick trip to the plaza I headed back to the dealership. There is a small waiting area with a row of chairs in front of a television. I believe that there is coffee and water available, I'm not sure as I am not a coffee fan. Another thing to help pass your time while you wait is that they have free Wifi for customers. My daughter lives in Pittsburgh, five hours from our home. I frequently make the drive alone, and my greatest fear has always been a breakdown while on the trip--away from home and alone! My fear turned to reality on a recent return trip on rte. 22 East, an hour out of Pittsburgh. My dashboard lights came on to service engine, I lost a/c and then power steering. Frantically, I looked around for a place to pull over where someone could help! I was fortunate to have landed in the Quick Lane tire and auto shop where Bill couldn't have been more kind. His staff diagnosed an alternator failure, which his shop were unable to locate a replacement part for a 2006 Saturn Vue,after multiple phone calls and much effort. Bill then made several calls to the dealership less than a mile up the road to Watson Chevrolet, where Heather assured me she would help me. I arrived at the dealership, was sent to the waiting room, and was worried I would be forgotten. I was not sure I could get back on the road that day, but then what would I do? Jason saw me sitting alone and asked how I was doing. I said I was afraid of being forgotten, and could they please update me on the status of my car? Everyone from Brandon in service to Mike in Management kept me informed. The part couldn't be in until 10 o'clock the following morning, so Mike drove me 30 minutes away to a car rental agency to help me rent a car and return to Pittsburgh to spend the night with my daughter. I returned the next day to a car that was repaired, washed, and ready to drive home. The dealership then spared an employee to help me return the rental car, which was an hour round trip. Shopping for cars can get depressing when you go in for the deal advertised in the paper and are offered everything but the advertised deal when you sit down with the salesman...not so at Watson East in Blairsville...they actually received more bonus cash from GM on the 2016 we wanted and immediately sweetened the deal we had come in for .
