I finally went to Spalenza Spa today for the 1/2 day massage and facial. Silvane, the owner of the spa could not have been any nicer! The message she gave was unlike any I had had before! She adjusted the pressure to exactly what I wanted, used hot stone, stretching, and literally put her whole body into it! It was a 90 minute message and would definitely do it again! It was amazing!! Pam did my facial and did a wonderful job! She patiently cleaned out my pores and while she was hydrating my face she did a wonderful hand, arm and neck message! She wrapped my feet in warm towels and messaged my feet and legs while another treatment was on my face. I can't wait to go back! I feel relaxed and wonderful!! I was looking forward to getting my hair foiled and cut. I needed a change for sure. I will say the salon presented well in appearance but the actual salon services were not what I expected. Very expensive day.. 5 hours to be exact only to walk out dissatisfied, to the tune of 323.00, for a foil and cut/dry. Spalenza Spa greatly exceeded my expectations! From the outside, it might not see like much, but when you enter inside, it is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated (bonus points because it smells AMAZING). I had received a gift certificate that covered several different services. Although pedicures and manicures are no longer offered, the staff seamlessly upgraded my other services to match the original value of the gift certificate. The facial and massage were both incredible. The facial included an almost full-body massage, which was a huge bonus. The private rooms are cozy and clean with twinkle lights or fireplaces built into the wall. This week as a gift from my husband I had a salt glow and massage with Demara and a wash, cut, and blowdry with Josie. Both services were excellent! Demara made me feel very comfortable and paid extra attention to the spots that needed it. Josie gave me great suggestions for my hair type and gave me a cut that was both stylish and functional for my needs. UM HI. YES. What a great first experience! My good friend owns a salon and I normally have her exclusively do any of my hair needs, but I needed a last minute appointment for a blow out and turned to yelp and found this amazing little gem. I was able to get an appointment right away and being less then ten minutes from my house it was a no brainer for me. The salon is located right off route one so it can kind of sneak up on you. Look out for the Cookie Monster truck and fly right in. Laura was my stylist and she knew her stuff! I really loved the overall feel of the salon and the massage chairs at the sinks were a nice touch. I also loved the line of products, my hair came out looking, feeling and smelling awesome. We went with a beachy wave look with my two clip in wefts and Laura seriously killed it. I told her I had an appointment this morning which I was hoping to have the blow out last until, and she made the waves a little tighter so when I woke up this morning it looked just as amazing and perfect. Also she was so quick! I was in and out in about 45 minutes or less. I loved everything and got so many compliments on my hair today. They have a blow out membership that I am very interested in. You can tell that she knows what she is doing immediately by how comfortable and loving she is in her immaculate and inviting spa. She gets to all the knots without you having to tell her where you are feeling pain. I always come out of there feeling so much better than when I went in. The team at Spalenza is amazing. I go to get my hair done and after 3 years, I can say that I have a hairdresser that I love again. Laura listens to me but is also really good at helping tease out that sometimes gradual is better than all in. I tend to lean to the extreme. I booked an appointment with the owner of the salon for a Brazilian blowout, hair color and a cut and I was very happy with my hair and how the owner explained the Brazilan blowout process in detail to me. If I was reviewing the salon solely for my hair then I would give them 5 stars. However, I am reviewing this based also on safe practices so and I would be remiss to not mention that I feel the salon staff could improve on enforcement of their covid 19 rules. Let me explain, I have multiple chronic health issues and it was sheer desperation regarding the condition of my hair that made me take a chance to go to a salon during covid in the first place. Prior to booking an appointment, I checked out their website and found assurances that their customers safety was a paramount and that covid protocol was important and would be followed. Therefore, I was a little surprised and disappointed that when a customer was checking in and her mask was completely off her face and hunging down her neck and no one said anything to her, while she talked and talked. I waited for someone to tell her to put her mask on, to no avail. Finally, I felt that I had no other choice but to speak up and I told the woman to put her mask on. There was also an older gentleman with the woman and he had his mask on until the end when the owner was finishing up my hair, when he approached the workstation to speak to the owner. He was not speaking about services at the salon, he was speaking about being a former mayor and giving pointers on how to drum up more business for the salon. While he spoke, his mask slipped down leaving his nose exposed and no one told him to pull his mask up nor was he told to step away from the workstation. At that point, I figured I was screwed and if these two customers had covid then I was done for. It is my opinion that the salon staff should be concerned about protecting all their customers and themselves from covid and be less worried about offending customers who are obviously selfish and so self involved that they do not think rules apply to them. Additionally, the salon staff should not leave it up to other paying customers to enforce their own covid rules that are posted on their website online and in the salon. read more

The location of this spa is pretty amazing, it's right on a beautiful lake and it has a porch with a view to look out on. This creates a serene atmosphere for a spa. What makes it more amazing is the service and the array of treatments that one gets here. You can go with a friend or a bunch of friends and have a whole spa day with everyone getting a different treatment. They do it all there, and they do it very well. I had the best facial last time I was there. Everyone remarked on how beautiful my skin looked. My friends and I will be returning for a relaxing spa experience next week. read more

Five stars! I am a sales/operations manager and have a very high expectations when it comes to customer service. The staff are incredibly professional and helpful. I had a facial/eyebrow waxing with Josie the other day and my skin looks beautiful. They use high end products and have a plentiful selection for sale. I sat with Sylvanie (the owner) afterward and had a color consultation with my hair. I had gone somewhere previously and they destroyed my hair. I was very nervous to try someone else new because I am new to the area and its difficult to find someone who knows what they are talking about. I made an appointment for my hair for today. This morning I had a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Feng. He was very proffesional and worked out all my back and neck problems. I was very satisfied. My hair appointment with Sylvanie was next. She did everything she could to protect my already very damaged hair. There was alot of work to be done as I needed highlights, lowlights, roots and a cut. She did everything and my color came out beautifully. She gave me great advice, a game plan to get my hair back to where it needs to be, and again used high end products. The ambiance of the spa is just beautiful. The decorations and lighting make it classy, relaxing and pleasing to the eye. I will absolutely be coming back. read more

Had my appointment booked and they canceled the day before due to Covid which I understand back in March. So they would call as soon as they open to reschedule. Ended up re-opening I called them because they didn't call me. The woman on the phone Mona was always very nice and she explained that they were having some remodel done due to water damage but she would call to reschedule my spa appointment they had been canceled as soon as they were fully operational. Never received a phone call. So at this point I've been canceled and never called back twice. This salon is amazing! Beautiful location with plenty of parking, and it was very easy to find. I was in about a week ago for highlights and a Brazilian Blowout with Silvane and I'm still thrilled with the results. She is a master at hairstyling and took her time throughout the entire appointment. The salon itself has a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. I was surprised to see the negative reviews! This place also offers nails, facials & massage services which I would love to try eventually. After looking around for a few days, i decided Spalenza Spa would be the best place to get a facial. My appointment was at 12- i walked in at 1150, and waited in the waiting room. It was a very neat clean space to wait- i was impressed. I filled out the form about last time i got a facial, etc. i waited for the lady to come back.. 1210: no one. 12:20- no one. 12:30, no one. At 12:36, someone came out of another room. By this time i was extremely annoyed- i should have been at least 30 minutes into my 50 minute massage. I asked the lady when someone would come to get me. She was super nice- but still took me 40 minutes to get into a room to get a facial that i made an appointment at 12 for. When i got in there, she apologized, explained it was "a busy day" which was hard to tell bc there was no one in the salon. She was very knowledgeable about skin, and different types of facials. The only thing i would complain about is all the extractions done- but she explained that this is the first step, it's a process not a one time fix. Main thing is the wait time- i wasted 40 minutes of my day to wait. I would be fine with waiting max 10/15 minutes, not 40! For that, i am wary about coming in again for another facial. read more

I was so excited to stumble on SpaLenza--a highly-rated spa with every service you could want, in a mansion, in the Boston area, that is also reasonably priced?! My 30-minute facial was downright luxurious. It combined aromatherapy, deep facial cleansing and a mini massage all in one. Francine was as great as all the reviews say-- she made it so easy to relax and get the most out of every minute of the treatment. I did notice later the products felt a little heavy on my skin for the rest of the day, BUT it more than paid off for the rest of the week when I barely had to do anything to keep it glowy and fresh. Trust. After the facial, I went down the hall for my mani/pedi with Kelly. She was so friendly, easy-going, and detail-oriented. She gave me a basic polish manicure that lasted six days without a single chip! For a spa the size of a small mansion, the only thing hanging me back from a 5-star review, surprisingly, is the space for the nail treatment room. It felt cramped with two people getting manicures and two people getting pedicures. Considering the whole mani/pedi took more than an hour, it would be awesome if that room were a little larger or took more advantage of the gorgeous view of the lake right in the spa's backyard. But for the awesome service and attention to detail, I'd be thrilled to come back! read more
