I did not have a good experience with my Facial. The whole appointment was rushed, my 10:30am facial didn't start till 10:55 and I was out the door at 11:40 when this was supposed to be a 60min session. Apart from the rushed session I didn't feel welcomed and not refreshed at all. read more

Having just moved to the area, I was in need of an eyebrow wax. I tried a different place a few weeks ago and it wasn't very good and the person who did it was extremely slow. I found Skin Savvy on the internet and gave it a try, mainly b/c their price was very reasonable. I was taken around my appointment time and we talked about what I wanted for my eyebrows. I was in a private spa room which was nice and she took time and care to shape my eyebrows exactly as I wanted. She also showed me an eyebrow pencil but didn't pressure me at all in buying one. Heidi has been my go-to brow gal since November. I have never really had a dedicated brow person but I promised myself that I would find a dependable, reliable, consistent professional after receiving an atrocious wax at another spa just days before my wedding (gasp.) I did my research and made an appointment at Skin Savvy and there's been no turning back. I visit about once every three weeks, usually make an appointment just a few days before I want to come in and I've had no issues with them squeezing me in. I have been getting facials and my eyebrows waxed by Heidi at Skin Savvy for 2-3 years now. I love it here! I usually am able to book an appointment within 1-2 weeks of my call, and if you are willing to see any esthetician, you could probably book one sooner. I have sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts and clogged pores, so Heidi usually gives me a 60 minute deep cleansing facial. She does an excellent job, always takes me within 5 minutes of my appointment time, never rushes, and is very thorough. She always offers me great advice and answers all of my questions regarding skin care. For my eyebrows, she listens to what I want and just shapes them while keeping them full. Shauna is the best! I have been going to her for years, I flew from California just to see her and I fly from DC to see her. She is so detail orientated and takes pride in her work. I don't trust anyone else with my face, I tried once in California and learned my lesson not to do it again. She does everything, micros, waxes, buff & bronze. She can clean your pores like its nobody's business. Your skin just glows! I suggest signing up for their email list, they have sales all the time, you can call them and pay for the service under the sale price and use it at another date, one of the best features of this Salon! I had a facial from Maria. It was the best facial I have ever had. This was my second facial at this salon, the first by a different esthetician, which was good but Maria was amazing!! She was very attentive to my needs & comfort level, It was very relaxing and my skin looks and feels great. I have already booked another facial with her. I went here for an eyebrow wax. I will start off by saying that I moved to the area 2 years ago and have tried about 6 different people for eyebrow waxing, locally and in Boston with no luck. One completely destroyed them by waxing way too much while others didn't structure them at all or left them very sloppy and uneven. I have pointedly been very detailed in my explanation of what I want as well. With that said, Heidi at Skin Savvy was lucky #7 and did a fantastic job!!! Even thought I explained to her the tailored but thicker look I wanted, she made sure to ask me questions as she went along as well. She also made a point to get every last stray which is a first for me. I think she had her work cut out for her with my poor eyebrows and she really took care of business. My husband and I recently moved back to the area and I couldn't be happier to return to Skin Savvy. I have been a happy customer for about 10 years. I am not someone who likes a lot of beauty treatments so I have only had my eyebrows waxed here. I am very happy with their availability, cleanliness, prices, and customer service. I don't go to a particular woman so I would highly recommend all of them since I have never left here unhappy! I had a facial here two weeks ago and it was awesome. So it was only my second facial in my life but she cleared up all of my issues and left me with clear and brightened skin! They use and sell Image Skincare products so I invested in the Image Skincare Ormedic facial cleanser. So I have only been once, but having trolled yelp for a good waxing place in the area, I thought I would write a review. I called on Tuesday and got an appointment for Wednesday evening. Julie saw me on time for a Brazilian and brows - I went somewhere else 2 months ago and it took an HOUR - I don't have that kind of time nor do I want to pay exorbitant amounts of money for regular maintenance.
