The only reason it's not 5 stars is because on my phone the website said the price with a star so I assumed that star was for tax. I spoke to the place on the phone and other charges were never discussed even after I mentioned the cost I saw online. I obviously was willing to pay the extra but felt uneasy since I had been on the phone a few times and mentioned the cost with no mention of the extra charges. It wasn't until after I saw the invoice of tax as expected plus other charges that brought the price to be a $100 more than the website had stated. It was a shock and I was annoyed that I was told to read a policy I could not click on because there was a tool bar covering it. I tried a few times to click on it thinking it was my phone and am still unable to click on it. I wish I had a computer to see if I could click on the policy but never need one with the phones today. The princess was also 20 minutes late and some guests ended up leaving before she arrived so that was a smidge embarrassing. HOWEVER! The person I spoke to on the phone and through email was always polite and professional which should not go unnoticed. When princess Aurora did arrive, she was the perfect princess and dressed the part! I do have to say as annoyed as I am for the lateness and surprise charges, she was worth it. The girls loved her and her voice was actually beautiful when singing happy birthday. That was a pleasant surprise. Overall, of course I would recommend them. It was a wonderful experience and my daughter loved her.

Emails were answered promptly and professionally. Belle arrived at my home right on time and stayed for one hour. The children loved it. The adults loved it. Belle was beautiful, even more beautiful than Belle at the Disneyland park. The moms at the party asked me where I found her. If you want an unforgettable party, look no further. No hassle, no unexpected fees. I'd also like to mention that Belle did not rush when the hour was up. Five stars.

If you stay here you get to use the amenities at the Waterside Spa for free during your stay. It's a 14 minute walk or a 3 minute drive. You can order room service from the restaurant if you're into that but I recommend walking up Partition Street for food and shopping. I liked waking up early, getting a quick bite from their continental breakfast in the lobby, and then heading down to their wooden walkway to get closer to the waterfall under the bridge. The walls are kinda thin and the restaurant is very meh but overall a great relaxing experience. You can even leave your car in the parking lot after you checkout if you still want to do things locally.

Actually, it's been there for 11 years. Perfect location. Just off the main area, but within walking distance to town. If you do stay here, try to get a room that faces the waterfall. Also, take the wooden walkway down to the base of the falls. We started out our morning doing so, and it was quite scenic. The rooms are big, but the walls are paper thin. Expect to hear chatter, like we experienced at 6am. Continental Breakfast was abundant with muffins, cereal, coffee and juice. -The Waterside Spa- My wife signed us up for a Couples Massage, in the middle of the afternoon. But we headed over early. Great place to lie out on the deck to catch some rays and relax. Take a soak in one of their small pools or try the sauna if you dare (at one point it was 190 degrees) The massages were nice, however the "Hot Stone" one was a little too gentle for me. You can actually spend all day here. They have a lot of places to nest, as well as a cafe. Just a 3 minute car ride. -Blackbarn Restaurant- Connected to the hotel, with the same stunning views and a great interior is "Blackbarn" After reading about the amazing and award winning chefs, I was excited to eat here. But disappointment quickly took over. My chicken tasted like it was marinated in vinegar, and the Vegetable Lasagna was made in a microwave. We ordered 2 desserts that we sent back. The pastry chef needs to be fired. This restaurant sucks.

Run, Don't walk from this rental…read more I am completely mortified by my experience renting this property from Kimberly. My wife and I rented it for our wedding. The entire process up to the wedding, and after, was very painful. She kept our deposit in full, claiming damages that were pre-existing. Our wedding planner, who also was our caterer, said that she was one of the most difficult people that he had ever worked with. Lets start from the beginning. Kimberly makes major demands while being completely unresponsive. We had to reschedule meetings over and over because of her, each time she only would only provide narrow windows where she was available. When I took a day off of work to do an onsite inspection with the florist and caterer, she did not even show up. She was the one that demanded the meeting. Here is where the nightmare begins. Kimberly was adamant that we get extra "cancellation" insurance for the event. We did not know why we needed it but we politely refused as our caterer/planner had great insurance. The day of our wedding the neighbor came over and said that our event was illegal and he planned to have it shut down. He said that it was Saugerties city ordinance that all rentals in town need to be for a week minimum and that we did not have a permit for an outdoor event as required. So Kimberly rented us the house for an event that was not allowed by the city of Saugerties unless you have a permit. No mention was made of this, but cancellation insurance was pushed on us hard. The neighbor had expressed that had had continued problems with Kimberly. The weekend was a rainy one and it is a country property. It was very hard to keep the floors clean and there were no door mats, only a tattered vintage rug which we pulled up and stored. There was no place for the wedding party to wipe their feet as they came in and out -- all others were kept out of the house. At the end of the weekend we took extra care to clean the house and floors. We spend 6 hours as a team to assure that the house was back to its original state using Pinesol and Myers floor cleaner (provided in the cleaning closet). When we asked the housecleaner what we should do with the extra food on checkout she said "Kimberly does not like any evidence that anyone has been on the property" so she threw the food out. I knew that I was in trouble at that point as KImberly has a maniacal sense of cleanliness. We paid an exorbitant rental rate and a huge event fee. Here is her list of charges she wanted to deduct from our deposit sent by her. Cleaning and waxing of floors $953.26 Porch floor staining/sanding $1200.00 Missing bowl $200.00 New rug $611.19 Cleaning $500-$285 $215.00 Firewood $50.00 TOTAL $3229.45 Kimberly had said that we had left circular scratch marks on the floors indoors and left the floors in a terrible state. I noticed the circular scratches when I arrived and asked the housecleaner about them. They were in various parts of the house and deck and they looked like someone had twisted a large potted plant to the floors leaving circular scratches. The housecleaner said that they had been there for a while. Kimberly also said that the Myers floor cleaner we used, from under the sink, had dulled the floors. I reminded her that it was a very wet weekend and that there were no floor mats and that the wedding party had no choice but to track in some dirt from outside. The driveway is made of a fine grey gravel and that brought a lot of silt into the house. She also accused us of having brought the wedding party into the house once the music was stopped, and had a rave in her basement. She said a neighbor knew one of our guests and told her. When I asked her to corroborate the story with the name of my guest or the neighbor she could not produce any details. Kimberly also told me that all people that came and went should have used the mud room in the back of the house. Can you believe that she expected all of the wedding party and event planners and vendors to all use the mudroom and remove their shoes!. So Kimberly FABRICATED this circular scratch damage and threatened to have us pay to refinishing all the floors. She said that the floors on the porch were damaged and soiled. When I pointed out that we were allowed to use the porch for the wedding and that it was a rainy weekend, she had no good answer. Kimberly also charged us for a bowl that had gone missing. She kept pressing this point until I told her that I knew that she found the bowl. She then immediately said that she had found the bowl. So she was charging me for a bowl that she had found -- not really good by any measure. I would run from this rental.
