I was "Botox-shamed" at a house party this past weekend. I was talking about just having my forehead done and another woman overheard me and kept insisting that "women don't need Botox" and I was beautiful without it. She then insisted that I was "too young for Botox". I responded with "I'm going to be 36 in 3 months. I think everyone should start getting treated in their 30's". This made her more angry. "So, I'm 36. Are you saying I need botox?" What I was thinking: We are the same age. You look like you're 46, I look like I'm 26. What I said: "I think everyone should do whatever makes them happy and not judge other people for their personal choices." Sarah made sure I was well taken care of and ensured to only enhance my natural lips. She perked them up to their juicy youthfulness they've slowly lost over the last 7 years in my twenties. Instead of the glowy hydrated look, I got flakey and a mass breakout all over! Even in places that never have had a breakout before. Came here the other day for a hydrafacial + dermaplaning with Marc. He was great, asked all the right questions before hand to get to know my skin. He was gentle throughout and explained each step. Easy to talk to. My skin felt great after. The whole thing was about 45 mins from start to finish. As far as the general check in process, I felt it was safe and everyone took ample precautions. I only took one star off because I felt like for a $250 hydrafacial, it should've been longer than 30ish mins or included something else like steam, hot towels, head massage or something. So annoyed with this place. At first I loved them, when I came a year ago. My laser lady was kind of rude, but got the job done. I also got fillers in my lips and loved them! They constantly have specials so I got it on special and was so pleased. This time, however, is the exact opposite experience. I saw they had a special on Volbella. A new product. So I did a quick google. Saw it was in the Juvederm family but supposed to be better. So I called and inquired about it. The receptionist wasn't quite sure so she asked her boss. She came back and told me yes it's the same as juvederm. The special was only for this month so I got like the LAST available spot. I was SO excited to get my voluminous lips back. So I arrived today. The PA immediately told me that volbella is not the same and that it's only for hydration. So that if I wanted real volume I would need juvederm. Which was NOT on special and actually $250 more. And they could not offer me any discount. Why couldn't they tell me this ahead of time? I drove 1.5 hours each way from the suburbs for this after a 10 hour work day. I am exhausted and was looking forward to this only to be completely disappointed. For a waste of time and money for absolutely nothing. Awful customer service. Which is sad because I used to love this place and would've kept coming back. If I could give zero stars I would. Disappointed. Ignored. Burnt. I am a college student who was looking forward to receiving a relaxing facial. The staff was extremely nice the day of my visit. HOWEVER, the next day when I woke up with burns on my face that narrative changed. I did not receive a follow up call for three days after emailing pictures of my burnt and inflamed skin. After taking matters into my own hands I was able to treat my face. All I am asking from them is some type of credit. Apparently this is too much to ask for from a facial where the tech either didn't "mix the mask up properly" or "left it on to long" (words from the spa). Instead they are wanting to give me a gift certificate for a visit in the future. Mind you the gift certificate would be for less than the actual facial price. Upon telling them I wouldn't be coming back and would prefer a credit to my account they have not gotten back to me. I've been working with Violet who is absolutely amazing. She is so nice, honest, and empathic. Even though I didn't see any blemishes on her skin, she got down to my level and shared some of her own struggles. That really gave me hope that with proper treatment I could have glowing skin like hers. She understood what I was going through and put together a reasonable package knowing that this is not a miracle treatment that cures it overnight. Violet also recommended chemical peels for maximum effectiveness. I just finished my second treatment last night, and my skin already feels lighter and less congested. I came here after hearing some really great things about their skin treatments and reading some stellar reviews. I was looking for a nice cleansing/moisturizing facial and after going back and forth between their signature and hydrafacial, I booked a hydrafacial. I had gotten another facial at a different medical spa about a month prior and I was a little taken aback when I saw how much more expensive SpaDerma's treatment was. I figured, given all the glowing reviews, it must be worth it! The experience and results were just OK. My specialist only spent about 35-40 minutes on my skin, whereas the facial I had a month before (which was half the cost) was an entire 60 minutes. It was clear that my SpaDerma specialist was very knowledgeable about skincare but I felt the delivery and experience to be very sales-y. She suggested add-ons and other services that I should get throughout the entire appointment. At the end of the appointment, she showed me all of the products that I absolutely "needed". I know this is common for spas and salons and appreciate suggestions, but a pushy sale is the last thing I am looking for when I go for a relaxing facial treatment. The results were decent - my skin felt brighter but I felt my pores could have been cleaned out more thoroughly. I was surprised that she didn't use any steam during the service. I would like to try SpaDerma again for some of their other, more advanced treatments but not sure if the facials are a great value. read more

I absolutely love the transformation she has done to my acne-prone skin. I've done several hydrafacials from her- which are my favorite procedure.
