Blt (bacon lettuce tomato) sandwich with avocado (no jalapeño) so good
    Amanda C.

Tasty sandwiches and burgers. All the ingredients are fresh. This is definitely a local favorite spot. I had the blt (bacon lettuce tomato) sandwich. It was probably the best blt that I've ever had. The blt had bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and home made garlic aioli. I opted out of the jalapeño and mustard. All the ingredients were so fresh and the bread was good. People in my party had the blue cheese burger and cheeseburger. They said the burgers were made fresh and tasted good. Perfect cook temperature. The fries were surprisingly good. They had a lot of flavor. They were not soggy, greasy. Or potatoey. Kind of pricey for a sandwich shop, and they do not allow half sandwiches and I wish they did. Ultimately, I would eat here again as everything tasted good.

Trust Bindys recommends! She won't disappoint! This place was everything and more! Fresh, crisp, flavorful, and the best waitress ever. The blue cheese burger was to die for! Must try!

Adorable spot with friendly staff and a chill mountain vibe. I had the grilled cheese sandwich with fries and my wife had the salmon salad; both of which were very good. Everything is prepared from scratch so expect a little bit of a wait for your food but it's worth it.

Service was phenomenal! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had two service animals with us, and instead of sitting outside in the cold on the patio, they allowed us to sit inside. That was very sweet and unexpected! We fully prepared to sit on the patio. Lots of vegetarian options and even a vegan option available! I was pleased to find they had plant based options. That was refreshing. I ordered the avocado tacos as an appetizer. That was vegan. It was a bit bland, but hey it was completely vegan and very healthy. The fried pickles were vegetarian. Those were alright. The salmon salad was great!! The salmon was a huge slab! And it was cooked well. The greens were fresh and hearty. Perfect salad to be honest! I loved this salad. I would go back for that alone. 10/10 My husband had the California burger. He said it was really good and he'd eat that again. Solid burger! 10/10 My dad ordered the BLT. He said it was okay. Might not have been his favorite. He did finish it. My mom go the avocado tacos for her meal. She didn't care for it. Too plain tasting. Basically, like eating raw veggies. 5/10 The beignets were soooooo delicious!!!!! Those bad boys came out piping hot and were a wonderful treat after dinner! 10/10

This cute little spot has the best burgers in town! A cozy space that offers the personal service I look for when I sit down for a burger and a beer. Chose a spot at the bar and snapped the most delectable picture of my meal! Whenever a burger looks this good, I feel obliged to share it. Kudos to the chef! Picture perfect! Can't wait to try some of the other menu selections. Delicious!

We gave it another chance and this time around it was perfect! Great food, beautiful presentation, very artsy, and good vibes atmosphere, not to mention the awesome service. We will definitely go back. Thank you!

So many options for both meat eaters, and non-meat eaters. There's also smaller portion entrees for the smaller appetites. Great kombucha flavors too!

Friendly greeting and prompt service. This home style restaurant is a MUST! It's like coming home or going over to a friend's house for an excellent home cooked meal. Everything is made from scratch and cooked to order. Homemade strawberry lemonade. In-house made ketchup. Ordered the Bluejay blue cheeseburger and the barbecue bacon cheeseburger with added avocado. Definitely can't go wrong ordering a burger. Hands-down, the BEST burger on the mountain. Choose delicious fries, salad, or fruit. We decided on fries, which is enough to share between two people, and salad with sesame toasted dressing. Many dressing options. Finished off with fresh beignets. What an incredible meal! Will certainly be back time and time again. The decision is a no-brainer -GO!!!!

Not on a regular basis. The pictures are from farms that I buy produce from. We do occasionally have a pop up farm stand courtesy of Arrowhead Farms Direct. They do sell fresh produce, among other specialty items.

It's located on the ground floor of an Inn of the same name. It has an old timey, alpine look to it which really adds to the ambiance. They have a full bar, as well as booths, tables, and covered patio seating. It's pretty large inside so can host large groups as well. Our server was very sweet and all of our items arrived quickly. They don't have a very large menu, but it does have a lot of great options on it, especially for over 5000 feet above sea level. I chose one of the specials for the night which was the Black Cod. It was honestly great, cooked perfectly, and a fair portion. I enjoyed every part of it and would recommend. I also started off with the French Onion Soup and that too was great, it was a bit saltier than most versions I have back home, but still I liked it. We also ordered the Cobb Salad which was generous in portions, and we both really liked it. I was not a very big fan of the French Fries, that was the only downside of the meal. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for dinner when visiting Lake Arrowhead, especially for anyone looking for a great place for a date.

I had tried another restaurant in the past, but wanted something different. Also, let's face it, around Lake Arrowhead only, there aren't many restaurants to choose from. The rest is all fast food. I was coming from a couple of hours away and obviously wanted to make sure I had a place to have Thanksgiving dinner. Therefore, as far as rating this restaurant for its regular food, I can't do that because I went for Thanksgiving dinner only. My experience as sadly as it is to say was literally the worst I've ever had, not been mean even if it sounds that way, but it is a true statement and it doesn't make me happy to say it, but reality hurts sometimes. We walked in and I can only say, it wasn't what I would normally agree to go to, not terrible but not impressive either. Casual for sure, boots and a cowboy hat if you have it, will do the trick. We were seated right next to the bar, this is NOT a huge place to begin with, so the noise from the bar was not pleasant to begin with. We sat down and a waiter came over, he was nice at first, the menus were not given out because it was strictly Thanksgiving dinner and the copy paper already waiting for you on the table pretty much told you what you were getting. Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey/ham combo or only turkey with all its trimming that you normally eat on Thanksgiving, which it was easy to order obviously, didn't make the waiter sweat either. We told him combo for both of us. I am not kidding when I tell you that not even 5 minutes later, the dishes came to our table. I was still taking my jacket off. I get it that everything had to be ready to go and prepared to make it fast and all, but that immediately turned me off. The food itself aside from being cold, not one thing on that plate was even warm, the presentation was absolutely awful, I still say and believe that had I gone to Dennys, they probably would have done a much better job and not charge $40 dollars a plate and already added 20% tip to it either. The food literally looked nothing like you would expect from a restaurant like this. It wasn't a dump!!! It wasn't attractive to me, but it was a restaurant, nevertheless. That food was simply disgusting. The plate came filled with everything that looked store bought from their not even market but like a 7/11 in the city. Filled with disgusting and totally salty gravy, not homemade of course, and it was which it wasn't, the chef or cook had a lot of fun with the salt or dropped it in it by mistake, that's how salty it was. The mashed potatoes awful, cold, not soft, have no idea what was in it, came in a made round ball, by the way everything on one plate, ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, a tiny bit of greens, wherever those two tiny balls of orange things were, a tiny bit of cranberry in a tiny plastic container, a small piece of bread. All just thrown on this plate that honestly made me sick to even look at it. Been Thanksgiving and all, we waited to eat knowing it was going to be quite a bit of food, so we were hungry. My girlfriend literally couldn't eat it. She had a bit of the turkey while trying to find it underneath all that disgusting gravy and she said that it was the only thing that tasted ok, the ham was just as bad as the rest of the stuff on top of it. She literally had three bites of it, that was it. I had more because I was hungry and there was no other place to go unless we wanted to go to McDonald which after that meal, would have been a much better choice and a lot cheaper. My girlfriend had no dinner basically and I had what I was able to eat, but it was just bad. To top it off, came the pie. Now, my girlfriend loves pumpkin pie, I do as well, she makes the best pie from scratch. Two pumpkin pies came. Again, what on earth were those pies, we still discussing it, how can you go wrong with pumpkin pies, well, this place managed to do so. We even asked them what on earth these pies were and the waiter simply said "it's pumpkin pie", no it's not we clearly said back, but he just kept saying it was and that was it. We both couldn't eat it and left it. No one ever came around through our dinner to ask if everything was ok, no one asked us if we needed more to drink, nothing. $115 dollars. The tip was already included as I mentioned that it clearly said on the menu at the end of it that 20% was going to be included. This dinner was worth and only if you were totally desperate, $10 dollars a plate MAX. The waiter did not deserve his tip as he did nothing for it, the only time we saw him was of course to bring us the check. Worst experience ever, never again at this place, I don't even think I would take a chance on their regular menu after this.

We shared the Kalua pork bowl and the Beachfire burger. The pork was extremely soft and tender, the coconut rice was fragrant, and the coleslaw was refreshing. The beef patty was cooked exactly to our liking, and my friend devoured the macaroni salad he chose as the side. The non-alcoholic Thai iced teas were delicious and innovative, we've never tried it with orange slices but it works so well! We did notice the drinks were about 80% ice though... We ordered the Pupu Platter which came with only one conglomerate piece of tempura when reportedly we were supposed to get 4 separate pieces. The coconut shrimp was raw as seen in the photo. Fortunately they replaced this with another platter of coconut shrimp. The shrimp and mahi mahi tacos were great as was the mushroom ravioli. However the NY strip (which came recommended) had an uneven cook as seen in the photo which looks as if they did not let the steak come to room temperature before cooking. Also was very Underseasoned with a bland taste. The mashed potatoes (also pictured) was bland as well without a creamy texture as expected of mashed potatoes. No complaints about service. Would like to think maybe we caught them on an off day since it was Memorial Day weekend but unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. May have been better to just save the money and make a decent dish at home.

I had the grilled salmon with lemon caper sauce. It came with your choice of 2 sides. I got the fully loaded baked potato and steamed vegetables. When it comes to burgers, this place came to play hard ball! They serve up 1/3 lb Angus beef that is absolutely tasty! I had the "Hudson Hornet" - a mushroom & Swiss burger with all the fix'ns. Dripping with deliciousness! The grilled onions really complete the burger (comes with). All of their burgers look great! My son had the Chevy Impala - a bacon cheeseburger with their awesome onion rings and bbq sauce. A MUST have at the Cedar Glen Malt Shop is their ice cream! They use THRIFTY's Ice cream!! Whether you go for their shakes, malts, reg ice cream or go big and get their Banana Royale (I did) or the banana split, you won't be disappointed or hungry! Another note worth mentioning, they offer a gracious Military discount. Just ask. Parking can be difficult to find especially right when they open. I've noticed people pretty much park wherever they can. This place is also very popular with the locals. Thank you Audrey & Candy for the great experience! The staff their love their job and it shows!! Happy 80th Anniversary Cedar Glen Malt Shop, I wish you guys many, many more wonderful years serving some of the best 50's Diner food around! I'll be seeing you soon!

We had a mini vacation in Lake Arrowhead, and this business was one that I was looking forward to…read more Why? A tasty thick malt sounded amazing, especially if the business is kind of known for it with many options. I had not had a malt in so long. I kept wondering when we could find a window to squeeze this in. We finally walked a mile over from where we stayed (a lot of this was uphill so that was rough for me) and we plopped down, ready for our malts. I ordered a rocky road malt and Steven ordered a chocolate chip malt. The server was surprised at the easy order she received as we did not order any food or anything. Yet, it still took some time. Finally the malts arrived, but unfortunately we were left so disappointed. Malts are supposed to be thicker than shakes, but these drinks were pretty much just melted ice cream. So, we are not sure if the orders were placed as shakes and still much more melted than other shake shops, or what happened. I felt like I was drinking melted ice cream with a spoon. Once I got through my glass, I didn't bother trying to pour more from my metal cup into the regular cup. I just started scooping from the extra stainless steel cup, hoping to save some thicker portions in there. There were a few, but not a lot. Since I was expecting a thick malt or something thicker than liquid ice cream, I devoured it pretty fast and now had a tummy ache. We tried it, but it didn't work out for us.
