My apologies for not being that person that's like, "Wah wah waaaah. There's an Urban Outfitters in Williamsburg." Shut up. (I say with all due respect.) There may be an Urban here, but there is so much more.
This multi-level behemoth of a space is loaded with clothes, art, food, and liquor, and it's all quite enjoyable. The various departments of U.O. spread amongst various floors, but there are nice treats to find every now and then. The main entrance yields a section with crafts and wares from local artists and small business owners. Behind that, you'll find pieces by local artists. A stroll up to the 3rd floor will yield a bar, and a stroll to the top level will take you to The Gorbals Brooklyn, an eatery by Ilan Hall to compliment his L.A. outpost, with magnificent outdoor seating and gorgeous views (if you're tall enough or can get on your tiptoes) of surrounding Williamsburg and, in the distance, Manhattan.
It's really a one stop shop for a lovely few hours in a lazy afternoon or evening. read more
