I came here for a punk show. The place is pretty small and might be hard to spot if you don't know what to look for. There's one small "Space" sign out front, and a small parking area in the back. If you're here to see a show, it will get hot but I hardly noticed since I was into the bands I came to see. The stage area isn't raised much, so if you're short like me, you have to get there early to see anything. Drinks were good and strong for me. I ordered a Long Island ice tea and it wasn't just a cup of ice with a dollop of alcohol in it like at the last music venue I was at, so I was very pleased. I would definitely come back again for another sweaty punk show. :-D

My friends and I stumbled upon this gem on a weekend trip we just took for one of their birthdays. What caught our eye is the fact that the word space is involved. I am a huge Star Wars fan and who isn't a good alien movie lover? So the word space immediately is catchy. We stayed at an air bnb that was walking distance from Space. We went to dinner earlier in he night and wanted a more chill night compared to the one prior in which we were out at gaslamp, so we decided to explore the local bars we could walk to. Anyway, we walk there and discover there's a $12 cover because there's a band playing. Honestly, not a big deal because my friends and I are all into music anyway. We get in and the band playing is Armors which ended up being an awesome show. They did a cover of Just Like Heaven by the Cure and immediately I am down because the Cure is one of my faves. We had a few more drinks when the band stopped playing, and even chatted with a few members of the band. It was all in all a really cool experience. The bartender even gave my friend who's birthday it was a free drink. The decor is cute but not over done. There's a disco ball. Tight. The bathrooms are nice with weird "space powder soap" as my friends called it. Next time I come to San Diego I'll give this place another visit for sure :)

What you see is what you get and that's okay! The venue is in an odd spot, tucked in between a Churches Chicken and a few liquor stores. I would definitely consider this place a dive bar. It's actually pretty easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for. I went here last weekend to see MACK and Michl and had a good time. It's a very intimate venue, which was perfect for this show. They sounded wonderful, which was good because sometimes in intimate venues this can be hard to achieve. Additionally, the drinks are cheap.. like really cheap. And everyone working there was nice as can be. From the door man to the bar tenders everyone was pleasant which set the mood for everyone else attending the show.

Chill atmosphere with good music. The area is small but cool. They have decent price beer.

Food was pretty good; however, there was nobody in here and it took over an hour for 3 sandwiches and a fruit bowl.

Stinky dive bar, but great people watching. Drinks seemed to be average prices for your typical wells. Parking absolutely sucks.

Came here for a monthly, had a blast! Fast bar tenders, friendly staff... It's not a large venue by any means, but it had a nice vibe.

They had lots of room on the back patio with a picnic tables. We sat down and we got a couple of beers and we started with some chicken wings and some chili fries. so wings were great and the chili was a little too bean forward for me, but the boys liked it. I just love Texas style meat chilis. Food was really great. My husband and I got what I would call fancy burgers with you know extra toppings like blue cheese or barbecue sauce and he can't exactly remember which ones we got but my brother was more simple kind of Smashburger. Basically their basic cheeseburger, and that was the favorite of the three to be honest sometimes simple is better.

We took the burritos to-go, and they were still nice and warm during the short drive home. Overall, the burrito was solid, and the green salsa complemented it really well. It wasn't too busy so we were able to walk in and seat ourselves. - PARKING - North Park is always tough with finding a parking spot but we just circled around until we got one walkable distance away. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - We were greeted promptly after sitting down and since we were waiting on friends to join, we delayed ordering but the staff was very attentive the moment they came in. After ordering we got our food pretty soon after. It's dimly lit inside but you can still see one another across the tables. They also have sports playing on the TVs. - FOOD - Honey Brussels Sprouts: Pretty crispy but it was slightly overly honey-ed for me. Some clumps had way too much honey and I felt like I was just getting a spoonful of sweetness. Wings: Standard chicken wings, but the Lemon Pepper Seasoning was way too heavy, so it was pretty salty for some bites. Fried Chicken Sandwich: Loved the tater tots - super crispy just like I like them! The chicken sandwich was just OK for me - the chicken itself was a little dry, but the seasonings were good. - OVERALL - Just an OK spot for bites and drinks. I don't know if I'd come back but if everywhere else was too busy, I wouldn't mind stopping in.

We needed a place to have a quick snack and this place called us over with its big outdoor patio and open air seating. We walked in and could not believe the revolving tap list. They definitely have a beer for everyone's choice. The pretzel menu was also a pleasure to peruse and we knew we had to try one. This is their specialty as these pretzels are hand rolled with influences from Germany, Philadelphia and NY. They serve them with your choice of beer dipping sauce and cheese. We decided on the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel. It was huge and by far the best tasting pretzel I think I have ever tasted. Soft and great texture. You could tell great care was taken in the creation of this pretzel and so yummy with the cheese. They also offer signature pretzel pizzas, pretzel sandwiches and other pub grub. Service was helpful and the restaurant is very clean. Happy Hour is offered daily M-F 3:00 - 6:00pm. Great place to watch a game too as lots of big screens. Always remember "Life is a pretzel so enjoy the twists and turns."

They always have an extensive tap list of local beers, as well as seltzers and NA options as well. The pretzels, sandwiches, pizzas are all delicious. On top of that, the staff is top notch and some of the friendliest folks around. Having the outdoor space is great, but when it's really warm out, their AC is fantastic. This is a must stop for any North Park pub crawl or day out on the town.
