I normally don't preschedule so I see multiple different hair stylists which may or may not be a good thing. I recently prescheduled an appointment and was running late so I gave a call to the salon. The woman on the phone was short and slightly obnoxious in that she was almost happy to tell me I would need to reschedule and still pay 100% for my cancellation. I did not cancel anything and it was a forced cancellation. I even asked if there was a late fee I could pay or reschedule it and only pay 50% for rescheduling fee since I've been a customer for so long but once again, she sounded happy to tell me no. I understand that being late is 100% my fault but I've also had to wait for my stylist for 10-15 mins when arriving on time so they are also not 100% punctual. This left a bitter taste in my mouth and I will unfortunately not be going back anymore.

In the 25 years I have been in the health and healing industry as an educator and practitioner, it is with great honor and affection that I introduce Carla Andrade. I have known Carla for 10 years, first as my student in Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage, and then as my employee. Of my many training classes, Carla was my best study, being a natural in the slow, deeply penetrating movements necessary to persuade tight muscles and constriction to release. Carla's hands are so very sure and calming, and also powerful. Many therapists can make claim to having these talents, but most fall short when it comes to clearing out the real issue of knots. She works gently, but quite effectively, to reduce adhesion and scar tissue, and this makes her the only structural release therapist I would recommend in the South Bay. read more

I…read morekept giving it multiple chances because the first two times the Office Syndrome massages were great. It's been 3 or 4 bad massages since then. First, who you book doesn't seem to matter, you'll get who they give. Second, the type of massage you book doesn't seem to matter. I decided to try the Traditional Thai Massage since the past few Office Syndrome massages have been underwhelming. I'm familiar with this style of massage, I really enjoy it. This, was not that. On my experience, Thai massage sessions happen on the floor and involve active stretching and rhythmic compressions. This has been the case at multiple massage studios across different cities and states. This was a half-a**ed Swedish adjacent massage. I walked in and confirmed what I booked. I thought it was weird that I got led to an elevated massage bed, so I made sure to clarify that I booked the traditional Thai massage. She said confirmed so I thought maybe they just did it differently here. They don't, they count on people not knowing the difference. The masseuse spent 50 minutes wasting my time and doing light taps on my body. There was 5 min or less of her walking on my back, and 5 min at the end of her having me bend my leg at the knee while she walked on my quads. I did speak up at one point to ask for additional pressure, and she appeased me for with it for a few minutes then went right back to tapping with no technique. I kept waiting for the stretching to begin but it never did. Eventually, I gave up on the massage and checked out. For comparison, the massage chair at the nail salon has more pressure and tension relief than what I got today. At one point I really liked this place, that's why I kept giving chances. Ultimately, I think the massages here are underwhelming. To be clear, I mean way below mediocre. If you want a Thai massage go elsewhere.
