I can't believe I am just now reviewing my favorite store in downtown Martinez. I come here at least once a month sometimes more. As of right now my favorite products to get is the lavender hand sanitizer, unscented omega body lotion, orange blossom msm lotion, lemon foam hand soap, lavender body lotion, peppermint foot lotion , a grapefruit conditioner. You can either bring your own bottles to fill up or you can buy a bottle, they also have free containers you could have. They have a great selection of CBD products, drinks in a cold case, new creative things to use in the kitchen, bath bombs, skin care products. I purchased a deodorant here months ago that smells great and does not irritate my armpits. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They even have a online discount portal so make sure you sign up for that. read more

I've been buying my body wash and hand soap from this place. I love the variety of scents they offer and that they don't strip natural oil from my skin after wash. Bring in your container (or you can buy some cute jars or use the recycled jars they have for free). Weigh the container before you decant the product into it. Cute boutique. They also offer cosmetics, though I never bought any item since I have yet to finish whats in my vanity. They also have candles. They also offer kitchen utensils. Parking is street parking. It's so wonderful to have a refill store nearby in the East Bay. I've always thought these type of stores would only be in huge cities, but the fact that there is one right in Martínez is a great location. For my first visit, I brought my own glass jars, but there is a corner of the store where they provide donated glass jars that you can take with you. When I was ready to fill up, the sales associate weighed my jar and filled up the container for me. I was the only one getting a refill at the time, so I'm not sure if you would always wait for an associate to help you or if there are any cases where you can weigh and fill it up yourself. My two small jars of conditioner totaled to $4.61. Other items that you can refill include dish and hand soap, detergent, loose leaf tea and more. read more

I'm such a big fan of this business, and I shop at the Lafayette location also. Everything I've bought so far I love, it's become my special treat to myself to stop in once a week or so. I have sensitive skin but both their face cleansers, the willow one and green tea my skin tolerates without any issues and it makes my skin so smooth! I love the tea tree foot cream, and the smell of the rose toner is out of this world. Great for travel are the toothpaste and mouthwash tablets, and the bar shampoo. They also have a liquid mouthwash with a slight scent of clove. Please stop by and support this small business that's trying to make the world a better place, it's a gem. I have been buying at Mighty Market for a few years and only now I am writing a review, long overdue for such a great business which comes from the heart. Mighty Market https://mighty.market/ are doing a great work for the environment, saving the world one product at a time with a huge reduction in chemicals and very little to no waste. We get all our hair, shower, laundry and dish detergent, all organic and safe for the environment. We also get skin care products and cleaning materials which are all organic and re-usable. The list of products is endless and the staff who consist of ladies who really rock our world with their great attitude of saving this world and the environment. They may be a few cents more at times for certain products that are not toxic and mass produced but the feeling is priceless. Non-toxic products are often biodegradable and less harmful to wildlife, supporting local flora and fauna. It's been a couple of years since I've shopped at Mighty Market, and I'm so happy to say that coming back after so long has re-sparked my commitment to reducing my waste and embracing sustainability. I got to the store a little before closing to grab some hand lotion for my guest bathroom. I bought the grapefruit scented one with a refillable pump bottle and I love it so much! I also grabbed a handful of garbage disposal pods to get rid of gunk and make my kitchen smell good. Found this little shop with a mighty impact. They had everything and anything to reduce our footprint on mother earth. From bamboo toothbrushes, charcoal floss, chewable toothpaste, reusable pads (gross - glad I don't need that product anymore - TMI) to refillable items like lotion, handsoap, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, etc. You can buy their glass containers or bring your own. I do buy some of these items on Amazon but will support this market as often as I can. The prices are comparable. I was most interested in this new addition to Downtown Martinez for the refill station but appreciate the wide variety of products including empty refillable containers (in case you forget to bring your own), solid soaps, dental products, deodorants, bug sprays, home fragrances, household cleaners, beverages, and many other eco-alternatives. (Pssst... If there's ever another shortage on hand sanitizer, this spot has you covered!) I came in specifically for shampoo and hand soap and brought my own recycled containers to fill. An employee kindly pumped the products into the containers for me and was sure to ask how much I needed. My selections were Grapefruit + Bergamot Hand Soap and Grapefruit + Mint Shampoo. I found this place on yelp. I call just to verify I could take my own glass jars. They said I could and was told all the hours. When I got there the door was open it felt very welcoming. It's nicely lite inside and organized. The have a lot of things here some that are hard to find. I love how you can buy laundry detergent,shampoo,soap, & lotion by weight and in your own container. My daughter is in love with this store. You can pick your own soap, or lotion or conditioner or hand sanitizer or whatever. I mean she is in heaven when we come here. I think she was lured by the smell and then she fell in love with the products. Her most favorite is an all natural lip balm. Ill also admit that its pretty dang good lip balm. Its expensive, but worth it. They have so many uniquely interesting products that are all natural and supporting local manufactures. Although with the shelter in place I haven't had a chance to visit the physical store, I've placed two orders that have gotten delivered and I've been so impressed! The quality is amazing and I love how environmentally friendly it is. My favorite stop when I come in to Martinez. We usually spend a Sunday out here, eat and get barrelista coffee, hit the farmers market, and fill up our bottles at Mighty Market. We forgot our laundry detergent jug the other day and they lent us one so we could still fill up. We've switched over almost everything we can at this point, we love the dishwasher pods. We find our laundry and dishes get more clean, and I've found myself saving money as I buy more way less often. I also am running in to target so rarely which leads to significantly less impulsive spending- less plastic. For us it's been a great lifestyle change and I'm so happy they are here. read more
