When someone I'm not familiar with does my makeup I'm usually pretty uncomfortable because I don't know how their work will turn out. The moment I sat down in Lauren's chair she welcomed me and made me feel very comfortable! That was a huge plus for me. I let her know that I have sensitive skin, so I'm always cautious with makeup. She tended to my needs. She asked me questions about what I normally wear for foundation since I have sensitive skin she explained the products that she would use on my face and told me that if my makeup starts to feel itchy let her know, but my makeup never itched. She's so talented! The look that she did on my face she came with on the spot, like five minutes before she started my face. She was able to bring the vision she saw to life on my face through her great makeup. Throughout the time Lauren was doing my makeup we were able to converse and get to know a little more about one another. She was able to hold a conversation while creating awesome work. I'm glad that I was able to not only meet Lauren, but allow this talented young woman to create such a beautiful look on my face for the fashion show. Also, I received SO MANY wonderful compliments on my makeup that night. I was so satisfied with Lauren's work that I reached out to her last week for her to do my makeup for my photoshoot. I had no specific look in mind, as far as makeup for my photoshoot, but Lauren was able to come up with a look that I was so happy with! I enjoy working with her because she always includes the client. She asked me how did I want my makeup, what look am I going for and also showed me options to better get an idea. I appreciate that because I've worked with makeup artists before and I can tell them/ show them how I would like for my makeup to be, and when I see the finished look I am dissatisfied. Lauren listens, she takes instructions and does what you want. If she sees something that may suit you better she will not tell you that what you want doesn't look right, but give a reason and an example for what might work better for you in a polite manner. Lauren's work is consistent and great!! She's done my makeup twice so far and both times I was so proud of her work. She's seriously a professional. Thank you Lauren! I look forward to continue working with you. I am very well pleased with the quality of your work Take a look at the photos I posted from her great work. Kind Regards, Chantè

I had a trial a few months prior where we got to talk about my ideas and concerns and Lexi was an expert listener, clarified what I meant, asked for input, and explained her rationale when giving suggestions. I have long, super fine, super curly hair and I'm always a little anxious letting anyone else do it, but Lexi was a pro. The style held up through the night and looked great in photos. No smoothing down frizzies or constantly tucking in bobby pins! I don't usually wear a ton of make-up and wanted to look like myself, and Lexi was totally on board for my vision. We tweaked a couple things day-of (softening the contour, change up the lip color a little bit) and it turned out so perfect in photos. But the thing that impressed me the most was Lexi's ability to be flexible and inclusive of the needs of my bridal party. I had an attendant who had recently come out as non-binary, and was feeling anxious about the hair/make-up process, not wanting to feel forced into a style that was too femme. They were unable to do a trial due to living out of state, but Lexi had them find photos of styles they were drawn to and send them along. She was patient as my attendant waded through the options to find something that felt right, and when they landed on the style they liked, Lexi totally delivered. She listened carefully, adjusted to their needs, and they felt so seen, heard, and loved in the process. It totally changed the tone of the day for them. They went from worrying about feeling out of place to feeling like they could be 100% themself. It made me so happy. THANK YOU, Lexi! You're amazing!!

You may be asking yourself, "what do character traits have to do with her skills as a make up artist?" My answer: everything. Olivia puts such thought and carefulness into her work as an artist and ensures that her clients are completely satisfied. She is extremely knowledgeable about the products and is always willing to take the time to educate you. I can honestly say that I have never felt prettier than when Olivia did my make-up for my wedding. Almost every compliment I received that day revolved around my beautiful, glowing skin and how natural it looked. Brittany was amazing and we cannot recommend her highly enough…read more The bride and groom had a last minute wedding we planned in two weeks due to the bride's health condition, and we weren't sure we could find a makeup artist in time. Brittany rose to the occasion, making the time for us (even though normally she was done for the season). Brittany was so empathetic and understanding of the bride's condition as a cancer patient, and went above and beyond to be accommodating, flexible, and make this day so special. Because of the bride's condition and the timing, we weren't able to do a makeup trial, but sent Brittany the bride's pinterest board and a few photos of the bride. The morning of the wedding, Brittany came bright and early to the hotel room, fully prepared. She gamely rolled with all the punches, and flexed to accommodate the unplanned for needs of a bride who was sick - from letting her rest in-between hair and makeup, to doing a last-minute change to her hairstyle so that she could take naps during the wedding day without messing up her hair, to putting on the makeup on the bride on the wheelchair and when she was resting on the hotel bed. Brittany took it all in stride, calmly and patiently, while giving the bride the most encouraging words and making her feel beautiful. The bride looked so beautiful the big day - it was amazing to see the bride light up because of how beautiful her hair and makeup was, when we showed her what Brittany had done. Throughout the big day, it was amazing to see the bride and groom the happiest I had ever seen them. And from the pictures, the bride looked in full health and glowing - a testament to the artful and skillful hands of Brittany, who made her shine and look her best possible self. I can't recommend Brittany enough - if you've got an event and you want a makeup artist and stylist who is talented and who cares about you genuinely and deeply, Brittany is the perfect person for you.
