Tara herself is delightful and welcoming, the kind of person you relax just being around. The massage was one of the best I've had because of her attention to your body's stress points and little touches she adds to make you feel truly pampered. I walked out feeling completely relaxed, like I had just melted into the massage bed. At the end she gives you a deeeeeelicious chocolate and a bottle of water. It was really fantastic. You can tell she has put a lot of thought into each step in the process and is really focused on your complete experience. Sometimes larger spas lose that 'personal touch' as they grow; Tara Massage has it :

This business offers colonic hydrotherapy treatments for cleaning out the large intestine. A closed…read moresystem is used, meaning that warm water is injected into the rectum via a tube and then that water mixed with waste is returned directly to the sewage system via that same tube. I have received several treatments now and they seem to have had a beneficial effect -- my digestion has never been better. I have become much more regular in my bowel movements and I rarely notice any bloating or discomfort in my abdomen. These were symptoms which led me to try colonic treatments initially. Apart from that, the treatment is administered professionally and in a manner which causes no embarrassment. If you have digestion issues, I recommend giving it a try.

The whole experience was easy, not at all awkward or embarrassing. It was an experience I enjoyed and I eagerly signed up for more sessions. The two practitioners are Michelle and Michele. They are both excellent at working the hydrotherapy machine which circulates water into the colon. They also keep up a good conversation during the 45 minute session and the time passes quickly. On a technical note, the machine is of the closed type which means that the poop and water flow out together through a tube straight to the sewer system so that there are no odours. It is fascinating to watch the lumps pass by through the transparent tube. As to whether the colonic treatments have actually helped my digestion, I am not sure but I think they did. Both practitioners deserve a 5 star rating and I look forward to visiting them again.

I felt so amazing having warm water splashed on me on a plastic table . Tip the masseuse after the service. My husband was in the steam room sitting with his eyes closed relaxing, and when he opened his eyes, the room was full of men masturbating and giving each other hand jobs. He left the steam room and didn't feel comfortable to return. He felt violated and disturbed by this behavior. We have been to multiple Korean spas all over the country, and have never experienced anything like this. It would be simple to stop this behavior, all they would have to do is have an employee whose job it is to make rounds and enforce the rules which are clearly posted - no sexual acts. Unfortunately there are hardly any employees around, and that is why these perverts can get away with these public sexual acts. Believe it or not, children are allowed at this spa. I am considering reporting this to the police for that reason. Now that I am here writing this review, I am seeing that there are multiple other reviews reporting the same thing. The fact that this continues to go on shows that management does not care. I will be posting this review anywhere that I can, and telling my friends and family to avoid this place.

Sit back, gentle reader, and let me explain: --friendly, engaging staff --beautiful design throughput --thoughtful attention to detail (salt scrub!!!!) --lots of choices for soaking, relaxing or sauna-ing --complimentary tea that was delicious --lush towels and robes --beautiful, minimal gardens--the hummingbirds liked it in early June --lots of staff care-taking the facilities --pretty library / lounge / cafe on the main level I'm glad I had an 8 am appointment--it was quiet and peaceful. An hour into my appointment, the noise level picked up, even in the "soft voices" areas. The silent sauna remained silent, which I appreciated. I get why groups of people want to talk so they can all hear and engage in the conversation, but the staff didn't remind them of low noise levels (at least not that I could discern). I wonder if the staff know how to compassionately hold that boundary. If not, such boundaries don't work (and they didn't hold as more people joined the space). It was fairly easy finding quiet pockets on the deck but even the "shelter" zone couldn't mute the "f-me!" Shout from the man who submerged himself into the cold tub. Pity. I'll go back and strive for an early time again--that first hour was amazing when it was quiet and subdued. More of that, please.

The overall experience was incredibly relaxing, and the staff were warm and welcoming. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy some quality time together. The only downside for us was that there isn't really a dry, private area to change back into your clothes after using the pool and sauna. There are also no blow dryers available, so if you have plans afterward, I would recommend coming prepared. We had dinner reservations later that evening, so we brought our skincare and makeup to freshen up afterward and managed to tame our hair well enough to look presentable! A few small amenities, like a designated changing area and blow dryers, would make the experience even better. That said, they certainly didn't take away from how much we enjoyed our visit. Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing experience and would happily recommend it for a girls' trip or anyone looking for a peaceful little escape.

Five stars for the typical experience here, but downgraded based on one of our last experiences…read more My husband and I used to be frequent patrons, probably coming about once a month. About half the time we visited PT, it was mostly to come to Soak on the Sound. We followed all the rules, sitting quietly and relaxing, and never had a problem. About a year ago, we came again for a soak and (although we both listened carefully for it like usual) somehow did not hear the chime to indicate our session was almost over. I had just whispered to my husband that our time was probably almost up when the attendant suddenly opened the door and looked directly in at me, sitting nude on the edge of the tub, and with evident frustration announced at full volume that we were over time. We of course rushed to leave. We let her know on the way out that there might be a problem with the chime in that room, as we did not hear it, and she made a snide comment about how we must be happy with all the extra time we got and rang the chime to "prove" it was working in that room. I appreciate the dilemma here, that it's a problem when people do not exit their sessions on time. However, with no way to tell time in the rooms and no second warning, customers exiting on time is totally dependent on a single, soft chime both working and being heard reliably. What if a customer is slightly hard of hearing, or the ambient noises in the room drown out the chime, and the customers can't hear it? Is the appropriate "punishment" to look directly in at them while they are (potentially) naked and treat them with frustration? We were honestly doing our best to hear it, as regular customers who want to be respectful of the space, and for whatever reason we didn't that time. We would have appreciated being given the benefit of the doubt, or at least averted eyes if the attendant had no other option but to enter the room. We came back once in the year or so since this happened, but honestly we were so worried that we'd miss the chime again that it was hard to enjoy ourselves.
